About 7-10 days after I made a reservation for a 5 x 5 storage unit, they contacted me twice by email, saying my reservation had been canceled. A lady left me a voicemail wanting to reschedule. I kept wondering if they have 3-4 locations in ALBQ, N.M., why can they not even hold a reservation? Why would I want to reschedule? Moving in would not be until the first week of May, and it's still a good 2 weeks away.
After my cancellation, I called U-Haul, who held one for me, and the first month is free.

My experience with 1601 Battlefield Pkwy NE Leesburg VA has been easy, pleasant and extremely helpful. Even while the manager was on vacation, the staff was extremely helpful and expeditious. While I am out of the country, I could call back in and get immediate and friendly service and resolved all issues and payment.

I used CubeSmart in March, 2026 - the location at 160 Dupont Street in Buffalo, New York. There, I met the manager, a lady named Tina. Her associate, Alan, was helpful. They treated me well; they behaved professionally. But the reason I do not give 5 stars is because this location seemed to be in an economically strained area, a “bad neighborhood.” Tina and Alan seemed to be unaware that not all storage places are in economically strained areas. What I mean specifically is that they had all office doors, inside and out, locked at all times, For me, it was weird to encounter locked doors to an office that is supposedly open for business, the staff right there visible in the office. I had no conversation with them about this oddity, as I did not want to embarrass them, but it seemed obvious that the doors were always locked because the neighborhood was dangerous. They might have apologized for the locked doors and explained, but they did not. Still, I give them a positive review because they treated me well. The place was neat and clean and organized. And I respect their efforts at maintaining professionalism while working in an economically strained area!

I really appreciate CubeSmart for how easy it was to rent from them and with no hidden costs..But especially for what Angie was so kind to do..My 2 helpers were exhausted from the heat..They went to ask the office if there was any water available.. They didn't have the code to get out of the gate & came back.. Shortly after that Angie brought a liter of ice cold water to the men..It was hot out and the storage unit was quite a distance from the office.. Angie saw the guys from her office window and took it upon herself to walk in the heat and bring them water..That good deed was greatly appreciated.. Thank you Angie..

This place is very expensive and they over charge, they just charged me $33 for a payment has been completed, I do NOT suggest this please for anyone.

Mold, mildew and rats (nests & feces) in two "climate controlled" units. Furniture, rugs damaged beyond repair. Cube Smart denied any responsibility. Their insurance also denied any responsibility for reparation--they do not cover mold, mildew or rodents.
Stay away!

If you do not need climate control, find someplace cheaper. They raise your initial “introductory rate” within 6 months then annually. You are not getting anything extra for the money. Also, their lights are on a sensor so if you’re in your unit, expect the lights to go out and you will be in the dark. I hate it.

Cubesmart storage Dixie highway that they started over charging because they did it to me so remove your belongings now. Because I did . They put a a little lock on your unit and said i agreed to an increase from $67 to over $90 to 99 every 2 weeks instead of monthly which I pay on the 12th Monthly.Watch Tony the fat white guy at the desk with the black Suv he is a jerk. During the day so they put a little lock on your unit they claim you were late. So remove your items immediately They do that with the gate down and report to the police See i spoke to so man I said I didn't agree for a increase of $20 for storage I closed my account there. They will break in your storage while you sleep too.

I'm having a great experience with my storage needs at the CubeSmart on 211 E Pleasant Street in Baltimore. Not only did I get a great price for my needs. I also am happy to have met two wonderful ladies that will make any customer feel at home. Come on over if you have storage needs and meet Ms Heather an Ms Erica. Theses ladies are the best host ever.

My kids cards were stolen out of my storage unit ,and instead of helping me they decide to charge me more every month and let crack heads and bums sleep in their unit . Avoided the shit out of this place get any other storage you can. They had a literal Crack bum fortress on premises .

This is for the over the top professionalism and effort in completing a space for my storing needs Victoria in cube smart madera , very friendly and compassionate amd took care of the process fast I truly appreciate her. Also the general Manager at the facility over the top recommend this facility for their superb customer service skills and willingness to make sure customer is satisfied and at ease . Also gave me a ride where I was staying just extremely helpful and kind . I highly recommend cube smart self storage in Madera.

The experience with customer Service Representative Lexi was very welcoming and pleasant.
You need to hire more people like her that care and take the time with a person’s questions & needs. Lexi talks to you and not at you Big difference!

My storage unit at the CubeSmart facility at 80 E Horizon Ridge Pkwy in Henderson, Nevada was burglarized, ransacked, and left in a destroyed condition.
I only became aware of the burglary after a friend checked the unit and discovered the damage and missing property.
This incident has been reported to the Henderson Police Department and is documented under police report #26-0100917.
According to the police report, CubeSmart management acknowledged that multiple units at this facility had been burglarized over the past several months, and the report also indicates that my unit had previously appeared in an earlier police call for service related to forced entry damage.
Despite this, I was never contacted or notified by the facility that my unit had been compromised.
When the unit was discovered it also appeared that someone had spent time inside the unit. Graffiti had been written on the interior wall and items were left behind, including a bottle containing urine.
If anyone else renting units at this CubeSmart location has experienced a break-in or theft, I would appreciate hearing from you as I am trying to determine how many customers may have been affected.

If I could, I would give them a minus rating. While the local people are nice, the people up the line even to the VP refuse to even return a call. I am being charged extra because I allegedly had 2 nsfs in the past 12 months. I called my bank and verified that I have had zero nsfs. In fact after the first one, I went to the site and showed them that it was returned for duplicate charges( I rented 2 spaces and they billed same amount twice)so the nsf charge was removed. The local manager called IT who said they could not do anything about it still being nsf because the system had coded it that way and I contacted customer service who said they would have Ali the district manager call me. No call came. I called back and was told Ali closed the case. I escalated to VP and was told he would call. Again no call. Called back and again was told VP closed the case. No contact. No desire to speak to customers. Run away, Do not rent from them. They do not know what good customer service is. You have to at least call and listen to the customer!

Do not rent from CubeSmart,

These guys have a broken website and app that cause a lot of headaches. They have *major* penalties for any sort of odd infraction. It doesn't matter if you are right or wrong; the penalties will never be refunded.

This company routinely raises rents by 25% or more within 90 days of signing up with them. This partially pays for discounts they issue to new suckers whom they vacuum up and suck dry.

I have been storing in the same until since 2006. The original price was $150.00 per month. Over time the price has gone up and was staing right around current rental pricing. Then four or five year ago it jumped from the current rate of approximately $300 a month to nearly $600 a month, then 12 months later it jumped to $735 per month. Now they want to raise the cost to $845 per month when the normal rental price is $345 to $450. I asked why, they said improvements, and that they could not lower my price because I was grandfathered. So I guess the fact that you closed both restrooms in the unit and are using them as rented storage is an improvement for the managers wallet. I am not sure. I asked again about the price being lowered and was told "well you can move allof your stuff to another open unit in our space and we can give you the current rate of $355 per month. So my recommendation is never rent from Cubesmart on Pulaski Highway, near Golden Ring in Baltimore. They do not keep the place up and do not care about the customer. All they are doing is raising the price higher and higher so they can get more money from you. Take your business to their competitors. Clean locations with working restrooms, and oh yeah, my new rate will be $215 a month for the same size unit I have at Cubesmart, and they rate will never be raised higher than the current rental price for a unit.

I rented a unit at CubeSmart expecting a long-term arrangement. Three months after move-in, my monthly rate was increased by 33%.

Yes, their agreement allows increases and labels the starting price as “introductory.” But in practice, this felt like a teaser rate designed to get customers in the door, then hit them with a major increase almost immediately.

I moved out on principle and transferred everything to another storage company. Even after paying movers, the total economics were better than staying with CubeSmart at the new rate.

I have friends in the area actively looking for storage, and I will be telling them to avoid CubeSmart based on this experience.

If you only need very short-term storage, maybe this model works for you. If you want pricing stability and a company that values long-term customers, look elsewhere.

I starting renting a covered parking spot for my Class C Mobilehome at CubeSMart on 980 FM 664 in Ferris, Tx back in October 2025. Got a letter in December that my rate would increase, starting in January2026. By this time the front desk employee had change to the third new person by the name of Charles. I spoke to this employee who was at time rude and incoherent to what was discussed. However, we got it worked out and I made my increase payment. I normally check on my RV often but due to the bad weather in Texas I was not able to get to the storage to check. So I went on 2/10/26 to check on my RV. Guess what my RV has been stolen. How does someone still a Class C RV Mobilhome from a Gated Storage unit with an attendant "Daryl" on site. I have made a report, and I feel this is an inside job. Ferris DPS is investigating and I can't wait to get the outcome. I am also contacting an attorney to file charges against this storage company. Something is very fish about this company and the people they are hiring. Don't use any of Curbsmart storages. There are others out their that makes your stuff secure.

This Cube Smart has been on a steady decline since Cube Smart acquired the facility. The staff is incompetent and smokes weed during work hours. The units have frequent water damage that goes unaddressed. The management is obsessed with money and overcharging but not keeping the facility clean. I have trash that has been sitting outside of my unit (left by the cleaning staff) for over 9 months. This was reportedto the manager 9 months ago. Horrible. AND I pay $3600 for a commercial space. They could care less.
