Although I received funds it proved quite an expensive option for me taking about £700 out of my loan as arrangements fee then after paying back £4500 offer to settle it was only £1500 less than I was advanced. ☹️
Unless interest rate was significantly less I wouldn’t use again App and website is nightmare to log into too

Requested a loan and was contacted by Cube funder directly, the first initial stages of providing documents they required was quite a simple process, although like many have stated on the reviews, the customer service initially isnt the greatest and there seemed to be an awful lot of back and forth and long wait times, I put this down to being a new company and understandably they needed to run their checks, however it would have been nice to be updated rather than having to phone in with updates constantly.

Once provisionally accepted, they arranged for a Guy called Max to attend the property to sign the documents, this is where it gets a very strange process compared to other companies we have used, Max arrived at the house and it almost felt like a bailiff was attending, checking assets held and valuable items to secure against the loan, once agreed on the goods to add to the debenture list, he sat down with the paper work to sign the documents, he then proceeded to advise that he needed to take camera footage of us signing the document, this is a little odd and quite an uncomfortable experience, never the less continued, signed and funds were sent in 24 hours.

Fast forward a few weeks we received a notification that a charge had been put on our companies house record, this shows as a big red flag on your profile to any other lenders, it details the full document including signatures and loan amount. now I understand business taking funding is not an uncommon thing, however the way Cube funder process this looks shocking on your companies house profile to future lenders or clients in mind.
(Be aware that even when your loan is repaid, this charge is not removed from your profile, it stays there permanently just marked as satisfied)

Things ran smoothly for 8-9 months, repayments made upto date but then we ran into an issue with our client who decided to go from Weekly to monthly payment runs, this caused issues with the daily repayments, when trying to negotiate Monthly payments it was almost as if we had told them we were refusing to pay entirely, there was no help or understanding at all from Cube funder even tho the history up until this point was ok.
They then started to increase charges by absurd amounts.

Eventually the due balance got to £775, their online portal even showed this which I have screenshots and screen recording of. after a bit of back and forth disputing certain charges the amount owed started creeping up, it went from £775 to £1700, then jumped again from £1700 to an absurd £4640.00. during which time due to refusing payment until they gave explanations as to how they worked these charges out, it was passed to multiple collection agencies who all gave different amounts due.

The entire process with Cube funder has been a complete shambles, we have used a few small lending companies when starting up and have to say all other companies used have been so easy to work with, and when small unforeseen circumstances happened they were all completely understanding and easy to work with.

I am now in the process of of agreeing to pay this back and awaiting our solicitors to investigate the evidence we have along side sending evidence to the FCA. I will update in due course.

We needed a loan for our newly established business. Cubefunder approved us within a couple of days then gave us our own loan representative who was so helpful. We gathered all relevant documents, sent across via email, filled out the paperwork and got the funds the following day.
