Welcome to Compass Point, the UK’s #1 orienteering specialist and largest online orienteering equipment shop. Established in 1991, we have spent over three decades serving the competitive orienteering, fell running, and adventure racing communities across the UK. Run entirely by active competitors, our team has first-hand, elite-level experience in the sport. We live by a simple rule: if we wouldn't personally race in it, we don't stock it. This ensures every piece of gear we offer—from high-precision thumb and wrist compasses to snag-resistant technical O-tops and metal-studded trail running shoes—is hand-picked for durability, speed, and accuracy on rugged terrain. We stock the industry’s leading outdoor brands, catering to everyone from beginners seeking educational school starter kits to professional athletes demanding peak-performance equipment. Beyond our extensive online shop, we also provide a custom teamwear printing service for sports clubs, schools, and universities. As a dedicated part of the community, you will find our mobile shop pitching up at major orienteering events nationwide every weekend. Whether you are shopping online or visiting us mid-race for last-minute essentials and expert guidance, we are always here to help you navigate smarter and run faster.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, and especially for taking the time to write one when you don't usually leave reviews.
It was a real pleasure speaking with you and finding an alternative solution for your Vapro glasses. Luckily, we still had the right spare part, so we were very pleased to be able to help and get it posted out to you.
Thank you again for your very kind words. It was genuinely a pleasure to help.

Ordered item sold out at an event
I placed an order for this item. After some time I was informed that it sold out at a 5 day orienteering event. I expect that an accepted order is available to be send out to the buyer, not offered at an event.
Therefore it took a much longer time for this item to get to me.
I received a 10% discount for my next purchase from this company, which I probably won't do. I would have preferred a discount on the item as it was very delayed.
The item itself seems to be "what it said on the tin".

Thank you for your review.
As a small, family-run specialist orienteering equipment retailer, we occasionally sell stock directly at events while our website inventory updates — in this case, the item sold at the Lakes 5 Days event before our system had synced with your order. We flagged this to you as soon as we became aware and offered a discount in recognition of the delay.
We're glad the item itself met your expectations, and we're continuing to improve how our event and website stock stay in sync so this happens less often.
