I have had many transactions with in the commercial bank kandana and i regret to say that that they work hard with multi tasking and this makes the customer waste time like forever. Right now trying get two debit cards and it had taken one and half hours and still waiting . Even, because of my past experience i have changed the branch from kandana to Yala because the assistant manager was rude during a transaction at that time . However, must also mention that the Manager is so helpful and prominent and has all the professional ethics and customer support. But, what can she do because no matter what, if the staff employs dont have the passion and customer service skills within them to serve the customers. Has the worst customer service and their card issuing processes take so much time.I applied for a credit card as they've mentioned it will take 5- 10 days to issue the card. But now it is the 4th WEEK and I still didn't get the card. They are keep saying that they will issue the card in next week every time I cal them.

This has been one of the worst banking experiences I have had, particularly as an international customer.
Since 15 October 2024, I have been requesting a simple and essential update to my OTP-registered mobile number because I am residing in the UK and no longer have access to my Sri Lankan number. The Digital Banking team copied Ravinath Ranaveera and Sadanadi Ratnayaka from the Makola and Kiribathgoda branches, yet no one took responsibility.
Despite multiple follow-up emails and a formal complaint lodged on 30 October 2024, my requests were completely ignored. There has been no acknowledgement, no explanation, and no resolution. Because of this negligence, I am still unable to access my own bank account or carry out legitimate transactions from overseas.
For a bank that claims to serve global and expatriate customers, this level of disregard, lack of accountability, and poor communication is unacceptable. Commercial Bank urgently needs to address how it treats customers living abroad and how complaints are handled at branch and digital banking levels.
I would strongly caution international customers to think twice.

The security sent me to front officer..then front officer sent me to Manager. He given me deposit slip..
But counter Lady rejected my slip..she asked for going E slip..I said I haven't time for install APPS At that time..then I sent to Executive ..so I had to scold all of them & then all agreed to accept deposit slip..
Because my company request deposit slips that's our procedure..Bank officers dont' care customer needs..
What a joke ...
Like that they wasted my time than 20 minutes for deposit 88,000..

I experienced very poor customer service when I contacted the Mattegoda branch. The staff were impolite over the phone.
The worst bank experience ever
This is honestly the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. They have zero customer service. They don’t care about customer complaints, and there’s no responsibility or sensitivity toward customers at all.
Most of the staff are busy on their phones, chatting about their personal lives while serving customers. It’s very unprofessional and disappointing.
Even worse, money disappeared from my account without my authorization. I didn’t receive any OTP or alert. I complained to the bank every single day for a week – called, emailed – but got no help, no response, no solution.
If you value your money and peace of mind, please don’t use this bank. It’s safer to keep your money at home than trust it with them

Dear Commercial Bank Customer Service Team,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service provided at your Minuwangoda branch. Myself, along with several other customers, have repeatedly faced poor treatment, which is unacceptable from an institution of your standing.
In particular, the lady handling cheque transactions at the counter is consistently unprofessional. She shows no willingness to assist customers, even when the branch is not busy. Her attitude is dismissive, and she avoids engaging with customers or answering queries in a helpful manner.
Additionally, the assistant manager — a dark-complexioned individual who sits in front of the branch — has also failed to provide basic assistance. Despite multiple requests, he does not respond or offer any support.
This ongoing lack of professionalism and poor customer service has created a very unpleasant experience for all of us who visit this branch. Due to this, we have decided not to return to the Minuwangoda branch.
We kindly request that you look into these issues seriously and take appropriate action to improve the customer service standards at this location. We never ever do business with commercial bank minuwangoda

I am having Accounts 20 Years, my corporate branch account Nugegoda let down badly, I had wrong fund transfer online and we prior inform all respective Branches, hold the money for 12 days with bank it has not gone either Recever or sender bank hold and wait, kind of rolling encouraging scamers , dissapointing i had to exchange 25 mails to explain this

Pretty Disappointed in commercial bank Sri Lanka, my funds were used with out my authorisation, no OTP was sent to my account. Their reply is 'some merchants generate OTP, and some dont' so anyone can just take my money!?
its been three days, all I have received for the complaint is a reference email. it took them 02 days to reply for my email, while the customer care keep replying the same thing saying they will get back to me. there is no sensitivity towards a customer who has lost the money.

I went many times to this bank branch in Nelliady. Very poor service and long queue. Even staffs were doing fighting inside, not giving respect to each others. They did not give full details aswell. Disppointed!
