Fantastic service, from choosing the flooring to having it fitted. Oliver in the showroom helped us choose the right combination of carpet, vinyl and LVT for our whole house, held onto it for three months, then arranged for Mark and Nathan to come and fit it, which they did brilliantly, in less time than estimated and at a very high standard. Totally blown away, and highly recommend!

We bought a mixture of carpet and wood flooring, and the house looks fantastic. Everything was straightforward - from initial flooring selection, communication regarding pricing and clarification on a few details, to booking an installation date.
The fitters were very friendly, efficient and tidy, keeping us informed and it all went smoothly. We needed a door trimmed which they did for a small cost. We chose the furniture moving service as well, so we didn't have to get involved with that, which was nice. They also offered some aftercare advice which was helpful.
We are very pleased, and would definitely recommend.

Delighted with the finished result. Guys who fitted were top. All very tidy, moved the appliances and put them back when finished & gave us good advice on aftercare( floor steamer now in the bin)

Great selection of carpet, helpful staff. We were pointed to a carpet that would suit our needs that was in the sale. It was delivered and fitted very promptly. The fitters are arranged and paid by Classic Flooring and did a great job - quick and efficient and it looks good! As they were competititvely priced for the last job they did for us 2 years ago we didn't feel the need to compare prices this time. It's great to be able to pay one price for the job including the fitting as that is not always the case with other suppliers.

Had 2 carpets fitted recently a bedroom and stairs and landing. Mark and team were excellent on both occasions. Really happy with the outcome. Extremely polite, professional and tidy. I was personally recommended to use Classic Flooring and I will pass on the recommendation, I had very fair discount on selection, full communication for fitting dates, and three gentlemen arrived early (letting me know first) and fitted it perfectly in such a short time. The carpet is beautiful and I will be going back to buy other rooms.

Classic flooring provided an outstanding service from start to finish. Communication was excellent throughout — we were kept fully informed, and any questions we had were answered quickly and clearly.

The carpets installed in our three bedrooms, landing, and stair runner are of superb quality, and the workmanship during installation was first class. Even fixing a few floor boards for us that had bowed and had been creaking for years! The fitters also cut 4 door's because they were rubbing on the new carpet, at just £100, which is a lot cheaper than calling out a carpenter. The team were professional, efficient, and respectful of our home, leaving everything clean and tidy once complete.

It’s rare to find a company that excels in both customer service and quality of work, but classic flooring certainly do. We would highly recommend them.

From start to finish, Olivia gave me a great deal on my carpet and lvt throughout my whole house. Very pleasant and went above and beyond to fit me in around my work to come measure up! The fitters are very clean, tidy and fully capable, who again went above and beyond to help move all my furniture from room to room as they fitted! My mum and dad have used classic flooring before, they advised me to use them, so glad I did! Used Capet right years ago at a previous property and they were shocking!! You really can’t beat a small, locally run business! Definitely recommend classic flooring

Testing accuracy

Save yourself a headache and DO NOT deal with this awful, nasty, rude manager. We paid the best part of £1,000 (£850) to have a stairs carpet fitted including fix of two broken boards, called the following day to discuss a problem – boards not fixed properly so carpet is loose. Oliver Nowell jumped down my throat and was incredibly rude, left me shaking with upset and shock. He refused to even send anyone to look at the terrible job done in the name of his company. We had been into the store twice to discuss our job, mentioned the fix of the broken floorboard both times and he had even seen it on site when measuring. We agreed to a total price which he happily offered, there was no negotiation on our part, which he later described as “beating him down on price” – I wouldn’t have a clue how to do that, we simply repeated the price he offered in September. He was free to offer whatever total price he saw fit, which we would have either accepted or declined. The marked prices are meaningless, he just kept plucking numbers from the air and lowering the total price.

In response to a bad review on Google he publicly disclosed my full name and home address, as well as hurtful, untrue accusations, as intimidation and harassment to remove my review. An illegal breach of GDPR (reported
To the Information Commissioner’s Office) and a nasty way to treat a customer.

Mess left in every room of the house. Door removed and reattached so badly it now does not close - fitters charged £25 and said we would need to get someone else to rectify it, or pay again! Asked for £25 cash, we did bank transfer, no receipt given. Rushed work - edges are badly cut and fraying. Oliver Nowell said I would have to pay someone else to fix the problems and mess left, and trying to fix the problem will ruin the carpet irreparably.

Horrendous attitude. Very rude. Zero customer service. Shoddy workmanship with no recourse to fix it.

Unsigned accounts on Companies House show the business is heavily loss-making, and the never-ending begging sales in the window display make me come to the conclusion that Mr Nowell’s business is on the rocks again. Your money is not safe with this company.

I wish I had checked the other 1* Google and Trustpilot reviews because they all refer to the unpleasant manager and terrible service when the work is delivered to a bad standard. The 5* reviews must be from people who are lucky enough to order online and not interact with this horrible man.

Very helpful right from the moment we walked into the shop. Answered all our questions politely and professionally, and we’re delighted with the end result. Thoroughly recommended.
