First of all, the good things — the 20ft lodge was an absolute treat. It was very spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen, and the beds were quite comfortable. Two of the bedrooms were en-suite, and the master bathroom had both a bathtub and a fitted shower.

All three bathrooms were supplied with essentials. The towels were clean and fluffy, and the linen was lovely and fresh too. The dedicated Wi-Fi for each lodge was also quite good. The hot tub was great as well.

The staff were helpful too.

I would have given 5 stars, but the other facilities on the resort weren’t much to write home about. The fairground is small and geared towards very young children, and the swimming pool is disappointingly small. Luckily, we didn’t stay for too long — otherwise, the kids would have been quite bored.

We booked chalet no 7 via Sykes . We could not sleep on the bed because of the thin, old mattress. The toilet door was incredibly noisy and stiff, toilet seat stuck on with wire, shower in bedroom! It was advertised by Sykes as
" romantic" but it needed new everything,including redecorating and a good clean. Awful awful awful place but no help from Sykes who tell us to contact owner. Clarach Bay tell us to contact Sykes. We don't expect the Ritz for what we paid, but cleanliness and a comfortable bed yes. ( Sykes say this is subjective!)

I want to thank Victor for his fantastic customer service, also the young lady who took excellent care of my elderly Mum at the swimming pool. What an excellent holiday we had, the hot tub, caravan and the site was fantastic too. We will be returning every year! For me personally if the site was awful I would still return because of friendly staff, this is the most important the positive experience we had. Well done to all!!! 🥰

Just returned from clarach bay holiday park 2 days early as we could no longer bear the discomfort. Springs showing through the mattresses, impossible for a child to sleep on. Nothing matched, stains on furniture & curtains, carpet dirty, Formica peeling on several surfaces, taps loose, windows filthy as was caravan exterior, jagged edges under sink, parking space between caravan ends & gas bottles too tight help needed each time to park, when we opened the door to exit the caravan we were met with the sight of the filthiest caravan we have ever seen. We complained & were told there was no other accommodation available, no apologies, no offer of recompense, pretty much take it or leave it, we did have a missing duvet cover delivered. We were told someone would fix the taps but it didn’t happen. We paid extra for a silver 3 caravan & this is what we suffered
