After spending weeks with another company trying to fix an ignition problem with my Mercedes van and getting ripped off, Cedar garage, diagnose my problem, fixed it with genuine parts and resolved the problem. Great customer service, great communication, and great work. If you have a problem, mechanical or electrical, with your vehicle I highly recommend you use Cedar garage.

Absolutely outstanding service from Cedar and the entire reception team. After having some extremely poor work carried out elsewhere, I was left feeling stressed and unsure where to turn.

From the moment I contacted Cedar, they were incredibly helpful, professional and reassuring. They dealt with everything quickly, kept me updated throughout, and had my car fixed in no time.

This review is slightly different to most reviews ,because my experience started out negatively , so much so that its doubtful that I would have gone there again. Without going in to any detail , I had a very unfortunate experience with the car shortly after having had a full service and M.O.T. To be fair to the garage , there is a theory , based on their investigation , that the cause may only be partially their fault . So anyway , why have I given five stars and not zero or one , you may be thinking ? The reason is simple, it is because of the way the incident was dealt with . My problem occurred late on a Friday afternoon , and some of the staff hung on for me . Rob , the Manager , was amazing ,taking full responsibility for what happened and took a personal interest in making sure I was ok and the car was fully repaired ( actually they went above and beyond in that respect ) Also , I was given a courtesy car and regularly kept informed of their findings , what work was going to be carried out and likely timescales . Yes , it should never have happened , but these things do . Based on most other reviews , you will read that the staff are amazing ( and they are ) and the work carried out was superb , top quality , faultless. Well my review is to say that on the very rare times that things go wrong , you can rely on the management and staff of Cedar garage to take ownership of the problem and sort it to your complete satisfaction .

I’ve been trying for the best part of a year to find a garage able to replace the timing belt on my Kia. Kia themselves initially tried to tell me the car was chain-driven and then eventually quoted me around £2,000 for the job. Cedar Garage were the only independent garage I found who were able and willing to do it.

As always, the service from Cedar was brilliant from start to finish. They replaced the timing belt and tensioners, water pump, auxiliary belt and expansion tank, supplied fresh coolant and provided a hire car. The total bill came to £929.81, less than half what Kia had quoted me. They also gave me the old parts back, which I appreciated.

There’s also a reason I’m willing to travel from Crawley to use this garage. A few years ago, I had another car that I’d been told had a major problem and was quoted almost £800 to repair it. I took it to Cedar for a second opinion and made it clear that if the diagnosis was correct, I was happy for them to go ahead with the work because I needed the car repaired.

About 20 minutes after dropping it off, Cedar called me. They’d checked the car and told me it didn’t need the £800 repair at all. The actual issue was something very minor that they were able to sort out immediately. They told me the car was ready to collect and didn’t charge me a penny.

They could very easily have taken my £800. I’d already authorised the work and would have been none the wiser. Instead, they were completely honest with me, and that experience is the reason they’ve had my trust ever since.

On this visit, after collecting my Kia, I noticed the coolant level had dropped significantly, which can happen after the cooling system has been drained and refilled. I went straight back and the team were more than happy to check it and top it up before I drove home. No fuss whatsoever.

My only minor criticism would be the hire car. It had some damage, which doesn’t bother me as these things happen, but it was quite dirty inside and out. Having the hire cars cleaned before they’re handed over would be a nice improvement.

Aside from that, 10/10. I live in Crawley and will happily continue bringing my cars down to Cedar. Finding a garage you can genuinely trust is difficult, and their honesty over the years is worth the journey for me.

I have been taking our vehicles to Cedar garages for some years. I am always impressed with the efficiency, honesty and can-do attitude. Whether I am asking for a quote to fix a £200 old jalopy or a beloved classic, I always get treated as if I pulled up in a Spectre. Quality customer service and careful attention to detail are the norm for this business.

Serviced my automatic and charged me less than quoted. All good. Phoned them up a few months later to enquire what anti freeze they had used as not indicated on invoice. Said they would get back to me but didn't. Months later I booked another service and asked them to change the gearbox oil. They said they didn't have the trained mechanics to do this...recommended a specialist company in Hove. I ended up doing it myself. It was an awkward job without standard garage facilities but not complex. I was disappointed with their attitude and got the impression they didn't want tricky jobs, which is just the sort of work I would pay a mechanic for. Anyone can change an air filter or engine oil. The date of service is wrong but close!

Although not the cheapest, these guys are pros. Great customer service. Happy to trust my vehicle to this company.

Good customer service, sorted my problems that I came in with

Design fault on the back seatbelt on our 2024 Hyundai Tuscon made our seat unusable. Called Cedar to see if they could help - quoted approx £150, for labour, but if it took less time, they would charge me less. Am happy to report that seatbelt ws fixed and I'm only £25 down. Honest garage. Few of those about today...

Professional set up in Worthing, can call and get through, speaking to a person who seem to be genuine in giving advice. Required a check up which was all documented, agreed to work being done as felt garage is trustworthy.

Cedar have a very transparent way of working. They keep me informed at every stage with details of what is required. The communication is excellent and courteous. Kayleigh is a star.
