Flabbergastingly Good Repair!!!!!

Just received my Cashmere sweater back, and try as we may, both my wife and I cannot find where the repair is. It was a large hole, slight bigger than a 5p in size. We were told that they wouldn't be able to make a completely invisible repair, and yet, that's exactly what they've done!! Incredible!

only good thing was that i got a refund, after threatening with a trip to small claims court. Shame really but one to avoid if you were thinking of buying anything, clearly didn't hold anything in stock, i waited a month for what should have been a birthday present. Virtually no response to any questions. Ho hum.

Great Service

I purchased a genuine Alberta Ferretti Cashmere jumper from Vinted and sent it to Cashmere Circle for a revive and an invisible mend.

Please be aware this service isn’t cheap and can take 2-5 weeks per item so bare that in mind when sending items.

My jumper has been retuned today like new. It did cost me £96 for the service.

EXCELLENT REPAIRS FOR QUALITY CASHMERE

Having been shocked at the cost of buying quality cashmere sweaters (£525 in 2025 up from £175 in 2020), I decided to have my existing cashmere sweaters repaired and refreshed by Cashmere-Circle.

The price of the revive and repair service for 4 items totalled £412 including P&P (each sweater had a number of holes) but given the price for buying new cashmere sweaters of the same quality it was money well spent. The repaired sweaters felt and looked wonderful, almost like new!

I recommend this company, which while not cheap provides an excellent service.

I used Cashmere Circle to mend a moth…

I used Cashmere Circle to mend a moth hole in my favourite Dior jumper. I was devastated when I discovered the hole as it was quite big.

Anyway, I heard an AD for Cashmere Circle on the radio and decided to give a try.

I was so nervous sending my jumper off. But Charlotte put my mind at ease. She gave me updates the whole way through.

I received my repaired jumper back yesterday and you honestly can’t see the hole. I will 100% use them again.

Poor customer experience

Company would benefit from creating policies that include complaints procedures, responsiveness time to customers, quality assurance, customer experience, process feedback tools, beta testing and quality of delivery of their services.

Staff would benefit from receiving training in customer experience, responsiveness to customer communication and above all listening to the customer. i.e. seeing what the customer is experiencing from the eyes of the customer.

Online Menders Course

Unfortunately, this has been a poor experience all round. The course was a £450 online swiss darning course to teach the invisible mending of holes in knit fabrics. I have since found other industry experts who provide this training at a fraction of the cost.

The course delivery was not advertised as the correct online tuition time prior to purchase.

The camera distance and choice of garments (guage size and colour) made it difficult to see properly what was being demonstrated. There were sections of the footage that were edited out and therefore the technique demonstrated was incomplete.

The tools were explained through a google shopping page. There was no explaination of the correct size of needle required for the type of project being worked on. The size and tip of needle could not be seen clearly on the video footage.

Colour matching of the yarn was explained but there was no explaination of where to source yarns.

Practice garments were sent but they had a foul smell, holes that had previous visible mends done on them and were stained. They felt unclean to the touch. When I complained about the smell I was sent 3 more garments which smelt less strong but still had the background smell to them. I suspect they just were sprayed with something and then sent to my address again regardless.

Tools were provided which were poor quality with cheap and tacky labels attached to them. The wrong type of needles were provided. A very sticky vaseline type of furniture wax was provided instead of tailors wax. Knitting yarn was provided as practice yarn for fine guage garments. Some tools demonstrated with on the footage were not provided at all.

The course was advertised as "free training" (i.e. £450 would be refunded) if the criteria was met to work with the company for 6 months. With this in mind I attempted to stick with it.

I sent the provided garments back to Scotland as part of the 1st assessment. (A line of swiss darning - 20 stitches)

I heard nothing back for a number of weeks as it appears the mender didn't book a DHL trip to send them back again from Scotland. Only 2 out of the 3 pieces sent were assessed by the anonymous mender.

The feedback was very unclear and it took weeks to find out what was meant by the mender who made the comments. (So no "personal guidance and support" as promised).

The only contact person I was given was an administrator despite the title of the course provider as "The Cashmere Circle Academy". There was a link to the "Cashmere Circle Comminuty" and a tag line that said "Join the community and introduce yourself". The link didn't work. When I brought this up with the company they said they do not offer this or assignment to a tutor at this time.

There were no handouts with diagrams (as is common in stitch related courses). There was only 1 handout which had a very basic explaination of what is a crochet hook for example.

There were no time stamps on the video footage which made it difficult to navigate through to find the section you wanted to view. The order was mixed up - for example an explaination of what knit and purl stitches looked like was in the 7th module from an 8 module course.

The music was quite loud in parts which ended up drowning out the speakers voice in the video.

This course was overpriced and undelivered. Despite being an advocate for sustainable practices the company spends a lot of time and petrol sending spent garments up and down the country.

I wouldn't recommend spending £450 on this course which is not fit for purpose. Think how many brand new Cashmere jumpers you could get instead for this price or it could be even be put towards a nice holiday.

Please do not waste your money on this company.

Just to add finally - I have asked the company several times to send me their complaints procedure, their terms and conditions including a refund policy, to speak with the owners and for evidence that the course had been beta tested. These questions remain unanswered and were completely ignored, which says a lot about their customer service, respect for consumers and their reputation management.

Fantastic Service and Quality!

I recently used Cashmere Circle to clean and refresh my cashmere sweaters, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service. The team was incredibly professional and attentive from start to finish, making the entire process seamless. The quality of the cleaning was exceptional. My garments came back looking and feeling like new, with every detail cared for.

I would not recommend this company

I would not recommend this company. I sent 2 cashmere jumpers, one I was told had too many holes to repair so I donated it. The other one was repaired but when I received the jumper back there was still one hole that was missed.
When I called, Pam Hill answers and asked me to send the jumper back at my own cost and then pay extra to have the hole repaired. I queried why the hole wasn’t found originally, esp as this process from beginning to end has taken 6 weeks and cost over 80 pounds. I asked why this wasn’t the responsibility of the company to fix what was missed, but I was told they are a small family company and they cannot afford to do so.
If this is the case, then I would have imagined reputation should be quite important to them?
This is just such horrible customer service. I would never use this service again, can’t be trusted to not ignore holes, intentionally or unintentionally.

BEWARE

Please be cautious when considering this company. I must say, their customer service is one of the worst I have ever encountered.

I sent them a cashmere poncho, and they informed me that it had three holes and required an additional payment. I promptly paid the extra amount. However, they then claimed that after washing and de-fluffing the poncho, it now had over 20 holes. I was confused and asked for clarification. Their explanation was that the de-fluffing process caused the sudden appearance of these holes. I brought to their attention that I had come across clothing on their Instagram that appeared to be in a worse condition with more holes, yet the customer had received their item back looking like new. They were unable to provide a response to this, which led me to believe that it was false advertising.

They assured me that they would refund me in full, which they did. However, they also asked if I would consider donating the damaged poncho to them. I declined and requested the item back so I could assess the damage they had caused. To my dismay, they denied causing the 20+ holes and “returned” the poncho.

I had a DPD shipping notification a few days later, I discovered that it had mysteriously disappeared. DPD never delivered my item. I requested compensation for the vanishing item, but they informed me that they only insure up to £50 unless the customer specifies otherwise. They did give me £100, whether this was from them or DPD I don’t know. They then took 28 working days to do this. I was truly shocked by their response, especially considering that the poncho had originally cost me over £400. According to them, it simply wasn't worth it because it was used. I couldn't believe what I was reading.

Initially, I had considered taking legal action against them in a small claims court, but my partner convinced me that it wouldn't be worth the effort, with them being in Scotland it would be more difficult. Instead, he purchased another poncho for me.

All in all, I must say that this experience was absolutely dreadful. I would never recommend in a million years.

Excellent service

They were great to deal with and did a fantastic job of rejuvenating a Ralph Lauren cashmere jumper.
All holes were fixed neatly and after debobbling it looks like new.

Poor quality service

In December, I sent a cashmere jumper to Cashmere Circle for repair and two months later I received it back in appalling conditions. After their inspection, we agreed on 6 'invisible' and 3 'best possible' mends. However, the repairs are all very noticeable, pulling threads, or even left with loose threads, and one hole has not been mended at all. A truly poor quality job and unprofessional service from this company, which charges premium prices. They admitted wrongdoing and offered a partial refund, which never arrived. Paypal did not help either, claiming this type of service is not eligible for buyer protection. Beware. Will update should I receive a refund.
