Just want to say Steve from Car City in Kalamazoo should go learn from Nick Wendell at Rightway on his people skills! Steve was very rude and disrespectful towards my husband! Right off the bat Nick made us feel like we came to the right place! Steve stated I wouldnt get in a new car for less than 600 a month with my credit and no more than a 1000 for the trade in on my car. Nick got me into a car with only 56000 miles on it for 450 a month with a 1250 trade in on my car! Keep up the great work Nick and know I'll be referring anyone who's looking for a car to you! Thanks again you guys rock at Rightway!

How many others has this happened to and Car City has bullied them to back down!!! And they have said nothing!!!!!!    I AM NOT RISKING YOUR FAMILY OR MINE ANYMORE
We purchased a 11 Jeep Compass from Car City in Nov 2021. We were told they did their inspection and it was a good vehicle. Well, after about a month our wheel sensor on the driver side went bad. It was replaced under the warranty we had purchased thru them. Then we noticed our brakes grinding and the front end hitting hard (shocks). Car city (Alan Boyer) adv they had not changed the brakes and were not covered under a warranty. I had later called a spoke to Alan's partner and he mistakenly adv they had changed the brakes and were in fact covered under the warranty, They refused to replace the shocks and struts at their cost but did us a favor they charged us the cost to do it. Well then in Sept of 2022 our Jeep started swaying knowing what I know about vehicles I thought it was the sway bar links and bushings. I bought the parts and took them to Michael ( a mechanic a friend of ours) and he put them on, but told us our vehicle was unsafe to drive due to the frame was rusted so bad that parts of the frame WAS NOT EVEN ATTACHED TO THE VEHICLE. There were parts missing from the frame!!!!   I had asked him when they replaced the shocks and struts should have they seen the frame as rusted as it was and should have said something. Michael and Devin both adv they is NO way they didn't know the frame was that bad! WELL Car City never said  anything. When we called a spoke to the woman under the owner as she claimed she said the mechanic did what they were paid to do and didn't need to say anything else.

We were told we needed to replace the subframe. We purchased the subframe and took it to Devin and he started to put it in and then had to replace several more parts. Devin then asked if any of the mechanics at Car City advised us the frame was rusted or missing parts or that bad. Of course we said no, because they haven't. Devin confirmed what Michael had said, that is NO WAY Car City replaced the struts and shocks and did not know the frame was that bad unsafe. Devin also adv the frame was that bad more than 3 years ago.

We had been driving on this bad frame the whole time we have had the car. I want my money back and they can have this death trap back. So I can buy a vehicle that I know is safe. I am tired of putting money and money and more money into it. and now wondering when I am going to die or kill somebody driving it. I am applaud at the fact  Car City thought it was ok to put this vehicle on the road!! I AM MORTIFIED I COULD HAVE KILLED MYSELF AND MY WIFE OR WORSE EVEN YET ANOTHER FAMILY!!

There IS NO WAY that frame rusted that bad in the 17 months we had it. And the fact that the Car City mechanic had to know about it and said NOTHING!!!! Isn't there some sort of mechanics ethics (moral obligation) to let a vehicle owner know their vehicle is unsafe to drive or better yet isn't it against the law NOT to say something!!! I am going to request the inspection report from Car City on Monday May 1st, 2023. we will see if they give it to us.

After I buy suv from car city the same day when delever the engine light was on I told the deliver guy he say contact the sales man I did he say it must be gas cap I fix the gas cap over and over engine light still on then 2 day i get too find out the flex pipe rotton out so I tell him I will pay this month out and make sure you guy fix the car so I pay 3 mouth payment 2 day before my 4 month payment i call car city they say call the sales man wish I did and he was so rude and disrespectful on the phone on April 5 I reseve I text from him say he wanna send me 500 to fix the car the bill is like 1200 when i get a coth flet pipe muffler the water pump is leaking and more stuff I just feel scam for car city the sale man name is sofiane dont lets him help you

My teenage daughter went to Car city and they some how talked her into lease. She is paying 532.00 a month a for a chevy cruze, They cruze has been in the garage multiple times. When she finishes the lease she will still have to pay more in order to keep the car. She has contacted them multiple times to see if they would work with her and take the car back because the payments are killing. They wont help her. This place should be so ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of our young adults in the community. Shame on you.

My mother purchased a 2012 Ford escape XLT and the dam thing broke down on us 3 days before Christmas leaving us stranded we had to return our gifts and when we tried to contact the warranty center and the office she bought it from no answer 500$ worth of gifts had to go back to the store to cover the towing fee of 400$ the battery goes dead and it won't start the back window wipper quite working and I felt it and it gets hot I also would like to say thanks to car city for destroying our Christmas thanks for saying your vehicle's are awesome I'm made because I had plans on hitting the lakes now I have to wait ten days before car city will help fix the issue thanks car city for screwing up our Christmas holiday.junk piece of crap starting to remind of Seeley's in st Louis for paying 13,000$ for a vehicle my mother shouldn't be having this issue don't purchase from this dealership and there warranty center sucks my mother had to have break work done that little saying we cover all the bull crap after 6,000 miles it's a joke they covered most of it but we got stuck paying the other 400$ to have the breaks fixed then we found out the dust shield was cutting into the tire making a grinding noise this holiday season has been a really bad one thanks to car city in st Louis for selling us a 13,000 $ piece of crap look up my mother Terry Lynn Leonard she's in your system this ain't cool I'm disabled with one leg missing and I depend on her getting me around I had plans on having her drop me off at the lake to do some ice fishing but nope even had state troopers and a couple of county cops look at it before the wrecker should up the battery arked and sparked and when they took off the jumper cables it died the wrecker driver had issues getting it on the trailer waiting ten days before we can get a hold of the warranty department and the car city in st Louis Michigan north of Alma Michigan out by 127. Please help us fix this junk piece of crap.

Hello, my name is Miquel Garcia I recently purchased a vehicle with car city on October 5th. I purchased a 2016 equinox. I was so happy and excited about getting a vehicle with car city. But little did I know that my worst nightmare was going to happenIng to me. I trusted car city with the vehicle that I purchased from them. So I got an oil change right away like everyone should when getting a new vehicle. I was sold a bad Vehicle with a bad engine. Tell me why my vehicle that I purchased in two weeks is low on oil when I just recently got an oil change two weeks ago from purchasing the vehicle. I've had to get 5 oil changes since I purchased the vehicle. I was sold a bad vehicle my car was never inspected before I made the purchase. My anxiety my mental health is not okay due to car city not being able to help me in any way. I have cancer and having surgery to remove my tumor in 3 months and honestly I don't think I'll make it through surgery because of all the stress Car city is putting me through. I Don't deserve this no one does. How can anyone sell a bad Vehicle to their customers and say it's in good condition when it's not? I have spoken with the warranty department but they aren't being helpful and have made it difficult for me. I still Don't have my vehicle fixed and haven't gotten any help from the city. The sad thing is that car city already has a bad reputation for selling Bad vehicles to customers. A mechanic that works with car city to fix their vehicles told me he had 9 vehicles from car city that he was fixing and working on from car city. And I was like are you kidding me? How can anyone do this to anyone? I work in health care I love helping people I have a heart for helping people that need care. How is it possible that you guys are doing this to your customers? I will never purchase a vehicle from car city and Don't recommend anyone. They have put me through hell.

Car city is the place to go. Smooth process. No one hounding you trying to put you in a vehicle that’s over priced and not safe. First experience at a dealership and the absolute best! Thanks guys

Sales guy LUKE FORTUNE

Brought a BMW 1 series from them 5 months ago. After bad customer service and messing us around continuously it finally got delivered in the dark to our house by a driver after telling us it would come on a low loader.

It was filthy inside and out , had low tyre pressure and no diesel after telling us because of the customer service it would come with a full tank. Had more scratches all over the car and alloys than originally shown.

On further inspection in day light and upon driving the vehicle it made an awful noise and had a big oil leak.

We took it to a friend who is a mechanic for them to then tell us it had illegal springs on, the exhaust flexi and DPF filter was hanging off and the underneath of the car has trays on which are covered in oil from front to back of the car.

Upon texting Luke he agreed that if we got the springs and that done they would re instate the money. Not trusting a word they said we phoned the finance company to get them to deal with it. They said to get the work done and they would claim our money back for us. So we got the springs done as we have three childrens safety to think about and sent all documents to Luke and the finance company. Baring in mind the car went for an MOT and passed (how is beyond me) before we got it so we could’ve got the MOT garage in trouble but Luke begged us not too and that he would sort this.

We then got the exhaust flexi and DPF filter done as the car was draining fuel and making so much noise we was worried more damage would be done if we didn’t as Luke and Finance company were doing nothing fast. We have all invoices Etc which have been sent to Luke and finance company.

Finance company finally tell us they’ve spoken to car city and to take the car back to them for them for them to give us a Courtesy car while they fix the oil leak and drive train.

I drove with 2 of our children yesterday from Essex to drop off the car and collect a courtesy car. Baring in mind they knew I was coming and my ETA when I arrived they knew nothing about me , our car or the problems with the car and tried to spin me some 💩 that one of their staff had mental issues and doesn’t know what he’s saying from one person to the next and that Luke was in hospital. At first they tried to give me a Peugeot 207 3 door old model baring in mind we stated we needed a car big enough for our family and iso fix for the car seats!! After huffing and puffing they went to their other compound and got a Nissan Quahqai I thought nice we are getting somewhere I then sat and spoke to Dave telling him all our issues etc he said about 3 words and told me we had warranty on the car 6 months which is due to run out next month (which Luke told us we didn’t have) and that I needn’t have drove all this way and could have taken it to a local garage!! However I was there now and said they would be fixing the problem. So he takes my license and does the paper work for this quashqai to then give me the keys and I swap over car seats etc but as I’m doing so the quashqai is filthy inside , has rips everywhere , ceiling hanging off , massive hole where key would’ve gone but it’s push button start , gear stick leather bit missing and then a rear light smashed so I refused to take it and left in the BMW as I was getting no where. Further to my chat with Dave realised that Luke had scammed £150 from us and pocketed it himself so we now have that to deal with on top of everything else!!!

Tried to contact finance company yesterday with no avail to what had happened. So my partner drives up there today after telling them yesterday he would be back and expects a car in good condition as a courtesy car.

He gets there and everywhere is locked up so he walks round the back where there is a mechanic who calls Dave who says he’s at the compound and will be back in 10 knowing what my partners ETA was! He waits and then Luke rolls up so he tells him it’s unacceptable etc he says he will speak with his boss and then Dave rolls up so he starts telling Dave the problems etc and all he says is I don’t have to give you a car, I’ve changed the car once already and I’m giving you an £11k car (£10,490 to be honest) to drive away in the same price as ours was but in poor condition. So he’s now left in a mondeo 61 plate and apparently they’re going to fix it but I have no faith in them and will be going to Citizens advice, trading standards and small claims court

PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF MONEY AND STRESS DO NOT BUY FROM HERE THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN !!!!
