The worst repair company I have ever encountered! Extremely incompetent yet rude customer service agents. Can’t get basic things right. Repairs take months due to the high levels of incompetency. Absolutely appalling.

Had Jason visit, he was good and explained what the problems were. For follow up visit he was very thorough and made sure everything was okay before he left my machine was behaving very strangely. He was very knowledgeable and wanted to solve problems. Think sometimes it depends on the engineer ypu get as to the service you receive.

Took more than three weeks to complete a simple repair on our washing machine after a series of errors. First, the engineer lost the information needed to order the correct part. We then didn't hear back for eight days, so we called and were told the part had arrived and we should have contacted them to arrange the repair, something that was not explained previously. The engineer then failed to turn up twice, and both times we were only offered another appointment five days later. Submitted a complaint via email and have only just heard back after 10 days with no offer of compensation. Only reason I have given two stars is because the engineer who eventually came to complete the repair was great. Overall, a terrible experience and we will not be using Capital again.

Had a cooker door that was not staying closed. Engineer came - a 10 minute advisory visit - costing £113.88 - carried out no work at all. Engineer - a waste of space - just wanted to get on to his next job and said I needed a new door that could cost £200 plus fitting, although customer services said that any parts would be fitting in with the initial labour charge. Customer services when I paid did say that they would come back to me with the price of the door and catches which never happened.
Remember before you call Capital Repairs out that nearly 1 in 6 customer have given 1 star negative feedback. Maybe you should think about contacting the manufacturer, or buying a new product, which agian the engineer said that they could supply.
I ran Capial Repairs thinking that they could save me money but instead cost me extra money.
To improve customer service when no work is carried out and they have a 10 minutes advisory visit they should only charge accordingly - say £35 - and not rip customers off if the work is uneconomic to repair.
The cooker was a £600 cooker only fault was the door not staying closed. Don't waste your money with them. Read the 1 star feedbacks.

Error after error from the start. Poor communication, incorrect appointments booked, a total farce. Simple microwave repair took a month to resolve with me chasing them for answers and completion date. The only positive from my whole journey with Capital Repairs is to never use them again. If I could, I'd give zero stars, deplorable. I've complained twice, not heard anything in reply. Avoid avoid avoid at all costs. My extended warranty was purchased via John Lewis in March 2020 with Capital Repairs being responsible for this. John Lewis have yet to respond to my complaints after advising I'd hear within 24 hours, that was over a month ago. Disgusting service.

Capital repairs assisted me with an oven repair issue. They were prompt in making appointments and the engineer they sent was both friendly and professional. He identified the problem and resolved it with new parts. Very happy.

Waste of money and time! They misdiagnosed my range, sold me parts, charged me a second call out fee and then said they wouldn't install the part that would fix my oven because it's not from the original manufacturer. I'm out hundreds of pounds and had to find someone else to actually fix it. They also took two months to get to this point and they want to just sell me a new range. Terrible service.

Worst service I have ever experienced. The first guy who was sent to me to fix my washing machine didn’t even arrive (after I stayed home from work all day to receive him) because he claimed that parking was too difficult even though I organised him a space behind my building with a permit. The second guy that came finally a week later was extremely rude, marked all my walls with his big backpack. When I asked him politely to be careful he was just gave an an evil stare. He ‘fixed’ my machine, refused to communicate anything to me about the problem or hardly talk to me. Then after he left that evening I tried to use the machine and it wasn’t working. It was left exactly the same as before!

The man who came out to me was polite. He explained to me the problem with my fridge freezer.
I would recommend him to anyone.

Terrible experience, an engineer visited four times with the wrong part. Very poor communication as never called me back and no explanation was ever given about how it kept happening

I booked an appointment for an oven repair which was a no show and they did not call me to let me know the person wouldnt come, I had to chase them - and this happened twice (ie they were no shows twice). It was rebooked for the next week. Then the person they sent wasn’t a gas-safe engineer so couldn’t do anything anyway. They did however tell me they needed to order a new part to be fitted and he took payment for the call-out right away. Couple days later I got a call from the company to ask for payment for the spare part. An appointment was booked for a week or so after. Again - no one arrived and no call or message to explain anything. So they had took full payment and just didn’t bother with me. Yet another appointment had to be made from me by chasing and at this point I sent a complaint email which to this day has been ignored by the company. When they finally sent a gas safe engineer this week they told me the first guy clearly didn’t know what he was doing because the oven didn’t need that new part after all. Literally took him 5mins to fix the issue. The last engineer was great but the company and its processes are awful, borderline dodgy. I managed to get a refund for the unused part but honestly only use this company if you are bored and enjoy spending your time chasing appointments that will never arrive. My oven was out of use for a month because of how long they took. Capital Repairs - get your act together and respond to customer complaints! Also don’t take peoples money for jobs you can’t fulfill.

Further to my previous review, the job was started in June, the wrong part was ordered by their engineer and I’ve been charged for this visit/labour. After my last review the company finally got back in touch despite numerous requests for a call back but was ignored, until October. They’ve offered in principal to refund for the parts they ordered in error and have charged me (still awaiting this refund) and insist on charging me for the labour and call-out. It’s their error for ordering the wrong part yet insist I read their small print which says I am liable to pay for this mistake on the or part. It’s started in June and now nearly November and I have not received a refund or a call back. I have asked for a refund on the parts for now and will follow up to retrieve the labour charge (they haven’t fitted a correct part so labour for what?). Mr John Fisher the manager has never taken my call or called me back instead sent me 2 emails to offer a refund for the parts only which he still hasn’t done. Totally unprofessional conduct and lack of communication or customer service. Nearly. I’ve bee and still waiting to hear back from someone……

I called on Saturday for an appointment and the engineer was with us by 10am the following Monday. He was courteous and polite and very professional. Highly recommended.

Capital Repairs provided a fantastic service - they were responsive and easy to get hold of, and the engineer Alireza was efficient and helpful in ensuring our dishwasher was not only repaired but in a way that was most cost-efficient for us. Would definitely recommend.

Arrived on schedule and completed the work efficiently.

New dishwasher installed hassle free by a friendly team who gave clear instructions on use of the new unit.

I've used Capital Repairs every time I've had issues with domestic appliances and have yet to be disappointed by the extent of their knowledge, their catalogue of appliances and spare parts, or their willingness to offer advice rather than insisting on a service visit for matters I could probably solve myself.

Most recently, I called them out when my washing machine (bought from them about 10 years ago) started making a loud hammering sound at the end of the wash cycle. Repair would have been possible, but the engineer pointed out that, given the nature of the problem, the cost of spares + labour, for a machine already 10 years old, would be better put toward a new, more efficient machine.

I was able to order a replacement from their stock, which was delivered and installed within a couple of working days, with disposal of the old machine included in the cost. Their tenacity and quick thinking in the face of my awkwardly-fitted kitchen was much appreciated.

Finding that the attachment for use with liquid detergents was not included (the instructions indicate it has to be ordered specially for that model, even though the manufacturer include it as standard with others), I popped in the following day to enquire and try to get the part ordered. In the meantime, they were able to offer valuable advice on how best to use liquid detergents, even without the attachment.

I was well informed of appointment time and ETA. Dan explained what he would be doing and why. He was careful to take care of flooring when pulling out the oven. He was thorough and very courteous, a pleasure to deal with. As was the lady making the appointment over the phone. Excellent service all round.
