I cannot say enough wonderful things about this bridal studio! From the moment I walked through the door, Lynne greeted with warmth, professionalism, and genuine excitement. The atmosphere is beautifully elegant, welcoming, and designed to make every bride feel special.

My consultant was absolutely incredible. Lynne listened carefully to my vision, pulled stunning gowns that matched my style, and offered thoughtful suggestions. Her expertise and eye for detail made the entire process stress free and enjoyable.

The gown selection is phenomenal unique, high quality styles that you won’t find anywhere else. Each dress I tried on felt luxurious and perfectly crafted. When I finally found the dress, Lynne celebrated with me as if it were their own special moment.

From fittings to final pick up, the service remained attentive, organised, and truly exceptional. I left feeling confident, beautiful, and completely taken care of.

I was so worried about going wedding dress shopping. I am a larger sized, 43 year old and did not have a clue what I wanted or what would suit me. Lynne chose a selection of 6 dresses and all of them fit! They were all so different and all so beautiful. She knew exactly which veil and accessories finished the look and did not mind when I couldn't decide between 2 and wanted to try them both on again. All of her comments were positive and honest and she was really reassuring. I a now getting a one of a kind dress for a great price and I feel so much more confident about myself and how I will look on my wedding day.

Cambridge Bridal Studio is a great Location with easy parking and a wonderfully laid out spacious Comfortable studio with a wonderful selection of dresses. Lynne instantly made us feel welcome and at ease. Her advice and guidance on which styles would suit me was invaluable. It made the whole dress shopping experience so smooth and easy and more importantly enjoyable and fun. Lynne ensured I stayed within my budget and suggested which veils and accessories would complement my dress. I look forward to my next appointment where I will choose all my bridesmaid dresses from the vast selection on offer which can be dyed to my choice of colour. I have no hesitation recommending Cambridge Bridal Studio to any bride bridesmaid or mother of the bride.

I happened to be travelling through Cambridge on a family trip and decided to stop by Cambridge Bridal Studios—my very first bridal shop since getting engaged. I’m so glad I did. Lynne was incredibly warm and welcoming, and she immediately picked out dresses that suited my body type as a size 16-18 bride. Every dress fit beautifully, which was such a confidence-boosting experience.

There were plenty of styles to try, and I found my dream princess dress right then and there. Lynne also involved my family, offered great accessory options, and even arranged a second appointment for me to return with my bridesmaids as it was important for me to get their opinion. Despite living in another country, I chose to buy my dress here because the experience was so special and the dress was literally perfect! I couldn't have dreamed of finding a dress so quickly and to be so sure that it was the one! ✨️

Highly recommend for any bride looking for genuine care, expertise, and an unforgettable experience.

I was a bit overwhelmed when I saw how many there were to choose from, but Lynne offered really helpful, supportive advice in a stress free way with no pressure whatsoever until I found 'the one'. She then matched it with just the right accessories and also arranged the alterations making the whole process totally stress free - definitely the right choice to visit and I can't thank her enough.

My experience was perfect, I was very nervous going into my appointment but was straight away I was put at ease and felt extremely comfortable the whole time.

Lynnes knowledge and expertise is second to none. Warm and inviting, helpful and understanding.
Location is easy to find, and a real treat to try on your dress, plenty of room to stare dreamingly into the mirror as your favourite dress is being fluffed and veil is crowned. You’ll feel like you are dancing through life.

I walked into Cambridge Bridal Studio telling myself I was only going to browse… famous last words. 👀
Within minutes, Lynne had me trying on dresses that made me feel confident, excited, and surprisingly emotional for someone who swore she was just window shopping!🛒 She took into account the style of dress I was dreaming of, but also styles that complimented my figure, and gave me many options to try on.

She was patient, warm, and genuinely listened to what I liked (and definitely what I didn’t). ♥️ She made the whole experience fun instead of overwhelming — helping me in and out of dresses with zero pressure and so much kindness. And then… after trying many dresses on, and off, and on again 🤣 there it was. My dress. The one I didn’t know I’d been waiting for, and my appointment went from window shopping to saying yes to the dress at Cambridge Bridal!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for your dress, go see Lynne — because apparently she has a talent for helping people find THE dress 👗 (Even for people like me that had just convinced themselves they were window shopping 🫣🤣) Five stars isn’t enough ⭐️

I visited this amazing boutique earlier this year in April. Initially, I just went for a initial try on to get an idea of styles and shapes that suited me but I ended up finding my dream dress. There are so many stunning designs for all styles and shapes and Lynne has an eye for what suits you even if you describe the complete opposite. Her designs are entirely one off and crafted to perfection. The prices are incredibly reasonable for a bespoke design. Lynne was incredibly friendly, welcoming and put any nerves at ease. Additionally, her range of accessories and veils were stunning too. I'll already told all my bride to be friends about this place but I truly couldn't recommend it enough

Lynne is so warm ,it’s just like going from home to home , I felt like I’ve always know her and she had such a great choice of dresses , I had a lovely day trying on something different than I thought I wanted

I purchased the most amazing gown. I'm so totally in love with it. The choice was outstanding and the professional help and advice was spot on. From the initial consultation to the final choice you couldn't be in better hands. I said yes to the dress at Cambridge Bridal Studio and I am so glad that I did.

At first, Lynn seemed lovely and very kind, but she didn’t actually listen to what my mum wanted. She specifically asked for splits to be put in the dresses, which Lynn did, but the work was done badly.

My mum ordered two dresses at £260 each. When they arrived, Lynn had actually ordered the wrong style, so they had to be reordered. Mum wasn’t charged for that mistake, but when the new dresses came in, the colour wasn’t what she had asked for or envisioned. Because of that, she ended up ordering yet another dress.

The real issue, though, is the quality. The dresses are honestly shocking. My mum has taken them to two separate professionals for their opinions, and both confirmed that the material is cheap, the workmanship is poor, and that the dresses are not fit for purpose. Both advised her to ask for her money back.

She went back to Lynn and requested a refund, but Lynn refused and is now claiming that my mum sabotaged the dresses herself—which is completely untrue. Mum has photos to prove the poor quality.

To make matters worse, the “green” dresses she ordered actually turned out to be the wrong shade of green and had yellow cotton stitching and again the quality is nowhere near worth £260 each. The same style could be bought on eBay for £60 and look no worse.

Now, my mum has been left with no choice but to take Lynn to court, as she will not refund the money. We would really appreciate some advice on what to do next

I ordered 2 dresses £260 each .
When the dresses came in Lynn had ordered the wrong dress in so that have to be reordered which I didn’t have to pay for but the colour I ordered wasn’t the colour I envisioned so I ordered another dress .
Quality of the dresses were shocking
I’ve taken to 2 professionals to be looked at and they have both said it’s really poor quality material and really poor quality workmanship and I should ask my money back because there not fit for purpose . So I have gone back and asked for my money back because they are faulty. I am now having to take her to court.
As she will not refund me

We arrived to our appointment, removed our shoes and took our seats. as requested.

At no point was the bride given an opportunity to browse the dresses; the owner selected the 'in-house' designed dresses SHE thought would be appropriate for the venue.

Whilst the owner was midway through fitting our beautiful bride into mediocre, dare I say 'repurposed' dresses (labels removed and her own added), another bridal party arrived.

The owner left our poor friend in full view, in a dress she didn't even like, and abandoned her for 20 minutes to deal with her other client. By this point, we had had enough. We put our shoes on and left!

Do yourselves a favour and avoid this place like the plague; the sub-par selection, pushy sales speak and dismissive attitude are enough to ruin this once in a lifetime experience for any bride.

Burr Bridal on the other hand, could not have done enough for us - they saved the day, and said yes to a magnificent dress!

For a first time bride's exciting first time trying on dresses we were welcomed with 'take your shoes off please". No hello, welcome or who have you brought with you. No offer of a glass of fizz or even water for that matter. For a very special occasion this wasn't a great start

There was not a great choice of bridal gowns all very samey just in different sizes. My niece didn't know what she wanted but after trying on various dresses she soon understood what she did and did not want but Lynne didn't seem to take that on board and she only had 2 of that type of dress for her try on anyway.
My niece suffers with anxiety and has not long lost her dad so this was a really big deal. She did become overwhelmed by it all and as there no empathy coming from Lynne she decided she'd had enough.
Out of the two dresses she liked she was not told how much they were only to move quick as 1 was a one off the other could be made.

Upon leaving Lynne told her that when she comes back to just bring her and her mum. Rude. The reason 7 of us were there was because she values every single one of our opinions, we are all very close and she can take who the heck she likes! It's her dress, her day and her choice.

There are so many wedding dress shops that make you feel special on your first visit and every visit afterwards but this isn't one of them.

Rude, pushy, unempathetic, doesn't listen, not a great choice of dresses. Not a great place to go full stop.

Unpleasant experience. I feel as though I was being pressured to buy a dress, and was being sold it with many cringey “sales” pitches. You should not need to be SOLD a dress. I described the type of dress I would like before going and she said she had many, she promised I would find my dress, when I got there she had none of the same style I asked for! She was very rude over message and avoided questions I had. I’m glad I did not buy from here! There are many other local shops with better customer service and nicer dresses where staff make you feel comfortable and at ease. Also where a non-refundable booking fee is not charged, this is the only one in the area that does so. I wish I had read previous reviews before booking.

Left my first appointment with Lynne with a dress I loved, which was made perfect by alterations from Jean. I had to do two rounds of alterations but she was very accommodating. I felt listened to the whole way through and the quality of service was great.
Can’t wait to wear it on the day!

When I first visited Lynne to look at wedding dresses my initial appointment was great -, I ended up picking a dress of a mannequin that I said yes to the same day and purchased. During the try on - I asked if it would be possible to add some loose cuff style sleeves to the dress in the same fabric as the dress and she assured me this would be possible and she could even order the fabric in time for my alterations.
I was given a number by Lynne for an seamstress named Jean - who would collect my dress and alter it after I tried it on in her house. Her manner was very cold and her 'workroom' is just her living room! It is not clean, there are threadbare rugs all over the room, and barely enough room to actually pull the train of my dress out!!! Furthermore, she only has a very thin sheet up in the window (which I could see through from across the road) - no privacy at all.
Considering CBS does provide for a lot of curvy brides, I assumed Jean was used to altering for curvy ladies - however she was so rude, asking if i'd 'gained weight', (which I hadn't, the dress fit perfectly when I tried it on again!) if i'd 'looked at the back of the dress' muttering 'oh dear, gosh' while doing the dress up. She also called my dress 'plain' and 'simple' - disrespectful?! She also told me that the sleeves weren't flattering questioning why I wanted them - and saying they would be really difficult to do - which doesnt match what Lynne told me. Further, the extra fabric Lynne popped into my dress bag to be the sleeves were of poor quality, mismatched on width, design etc.
I left Jeans house absolutely devastated - I could barely look at myself and I hated my dress, I was told she would need to let the dress out, take it up.
I informed Lynne of this and told her I wanted to collect my dress before Jean did any alterations as I didnt trust her after having such an awful experience.
Lynne booked me an appointment to collect my dress and I went to collect it and try it on again a couple of weeks later.
When I went to get the dress, Lynne hadn't reordered any sleeves, despite me informing her of the poor quality - so I left without any sleeves, however Lynne assured me she would order them that day (23/07) and have them shipped to me (which she said can take up to ten days).
By 08/08 I had heard nothing so emailed Lynne to follow up where she said that she would chase the supplier but was going on holiday so would respond to me after.
The next day she told me the straps had shipped and asked for my address - and told me it could take 10 days for the straps to arrive to her.
I questioned this as she previously said she would get them sent straight to me as well as the fact she would be on holiday!
I had heard nothing by 21/08 so emailed Lynne who told me they were due to arrive on the 24th which I accepted.
By the 26/08 I heard nothing so I emailed again and was told they'd be sent on 27th.
My wedding was one week away at this point!
Due to this I asked her to send them 24 hour tracked post (which I feel is reasonable considering the sleeves cost £45 and we're delayed by nearly a whole month!) however when I asked her for a tracking number she told me that she had sent them 'first class'
It then took a further two days for the sleeves to arrive - 4 days before my wedding
I have genuinely never had such an awful experience with anyone before as I had with Lynne and Jean.
In the end the only alteration I made to my dress was taking it up an inch.
Did Jean just say I needed all the other things to make more money from alterations?!
I was so stressed in the lead up to my wedding and received no clarity or support
I was left so upset and distressed by all of this and would hate for any other bride to go through even a fraction of this - hence me leaving this review.
