This trip provided greater depth and hence variety by concentrating only on the one country. The seaside, the mountains and the desert were all highlights. Lots of opportunities to experience and observe the culture of Morocco with the guidance of a knowledgable and experienced tour leader.

A wonderful insight into Moroccan history and culture, guided by someone who loves his country. A must do is the optional extra hot air balloon ride. I loved the different accommodations that allow you to experience the real Morocco.

2nd trip with Bunnik never again over priced for what you get worst tour leader I have ever had Accomadation not centrally located and the last one mildew no tiles in shower no shower curtain so toilet got flooded and very run down

We had an amazing time on our Moroccan Discovery Tour. Our guide Fouad was very knowledgeable and gave us some exceptional insights into the history and daily life of Morocco. The country and landscape itself is unbelievably diverse and the tour includes seaside towns as well as the desert, mountain ranges and exploring an oasis and wonderful medinas and kasbahs. A very comprehensive and enjoyable introduction to Morocco.

Note* I would not have given one star as that is too generous but this system doesn’t allow for a no star rating.
Where to start….my partner has been on several Bunnik tours including a Mexican walk of the dead tour last year which was an horrific ordeal whereby over half the group contracted food poisoning from the Bunnik included meals with some of the group contracting food poisoning several times, and sub-standard backpacker style accommodation. It was so bad that one man on the tour broke down and cried because his expensive dream tour was so completely awful… so very sad.
Our tour to Morocco was already booked and paid for so it was too late to find an alternative (even though I had seen very similar products for half the price).
Pre tour dealings with the Bunnik office were inefficient and lacking with communication skills and it was hard to get reliable information as the office appears to be disjointed. The accommodation was often of a substandard backpacker style and being palmed off as a taste of the ‘real Morocco’ but sadly this was Bunnik simply cost cutting. This kind of accommodation was miles out of town on unsealed roads. Free afternoons left us captive and trapped in the middle of nowhere. In one of these stays (2 nights) there was a tank outside our bathroom window that the sewage from the building was being pumped to, this was overflowing onto the vegetable garden that supplied the vegetables for our captive meals. This window was the only way to air our room but the stench was obnoxious and vile and possibly a health hazard so we opted to keep our window closed even in the stifling desert heat.
We even found that on one occasion we were not staying in the hotel listed on our itinerary but instead next door at a much cheaper hotel in matchbox sized rooms with a noisy construction site next to our window. This was misleading and when I complained it was palmed off by Bunnik as a computer glitch but I certainly have my doubts given the experience we had.
The included meals were absolutely dreadful but what would you expect given the cost cutting to the bone.
There wasn’t a toilet on our tour bus (travelling up to 7+ hours a day). The excuse given by Bunnik for this is that tour buses in Morocco don’t have toilet facilities, so strange given that other travellers on the journey we had spoken to had toilets on their tour buses.
I did see many similar products were available at the time for half the price, but because my partner had been on a great pre Covid tour he was keen to travel with Bunnik again. Unfortunately Bunnik is trading on a reputation that was earned years ago, sadly they are tarnishing this as they do not deliver what they promise. I could go on but you most probably have the general idea so please don’t let Bunnik ruin your dream holiday or holiday of a lifetime because that is what they will do….turn your dreams into an expensive nightmare.

Regarding the accommodation and meals, we aim to offer authentic local experiences, which we clearly outline in our tour descriptions. We understand that these may not align with everyone’s expectations.
We have thoroughly reviewed your concerns and (even though we have addressed these in earlier correspondence with you) I will respond to them again below:
1. Accommodation Standards: Our records show that all accommodations were as per the itinerary, with a noted exception where you were placed in the Red Pavilion (older wing of the Opera Hotel) due to availability, we have apologised for this unforeseen change and provided you with compensation for the inconvenience. Curiously, no-one else in your group mentioned it.
2. Location of Stays: The guesthouse in Chefchaouen, 8km from the town centre and where you stay for one day, is selected for its unique local experience, including a special bakery demonstration that has been well-received by other guests.
Please note: we stay in 4 star hotels on our Moroccan Discovery tour and stay in two guest houses that are not star rated
3. Tour Bus Facilities: In Morocco, it is standard that tour buses do not have onboard toilets. This is a regional norm and not specific to our tours.
4. Pre-Tour Communication: We regret any miscommunication regarding luggage allowances and pre-tour queries. Our standard luggage allowance is 23kg, which was communicated to you.
5. On-Tour Behaviour: Our Tour Director noted that you repeatedly disregarded guidelines about outside food and beverages, impacting the group experience. This behaviour is disruptive and against our policies.
We take all feedback seriously and will review your comments to improve our services. However, we believe some of the issues raised do not accurately reflect the efforts made to provide a quality tour experience and do not align with the rest of the feedback received from others in your group. | We regret any inconvenience caused and hope you find future travels more aligned with your expectations.

The Moroccan tour exceeded my expectations. The country has many contrasts in landscapes, towns, and what each has to offer a traveller—seeing firsthand how they deal with the recent earthquake added to the experience. The people we met were resolute and resourceful and wanted tourists to come as this supports their economy. People everywhere were friendly and helpful as long as you were respectful that not everyone wanted their photo taken. The food we tried was great, and we were introduced to Moroccan cuisine in local environments coupled with Moroccan beer and wine - both were a pleasant surprise and worth trying. The contrasts between the medinas and modern parts of cities such as Casablanca and Fez gave dinner conversations new twists as we contributed snippets of what we had seen. I would recommend this tour to everyone as it was a real surprise to experience a country moving forward while keeping its heritage in place. Our guide Zahir, bus driver Mohamid, and assistant Abdul added to a beautiful holiday I shared with my friends through What's Ap.

The Moroccan Discovery tour covered so much. The culture, the history and food. From the ocean to the desert, the Wonderfull Atlas Mountains, ancient Medinas and the ultra modern cooking school.
