Ordered lots of goods to be delivered to me in Austria as i wouldnt go to uk because of the Corona, I understand things were delayed because of that too. Communications with 2 lovely ladies there by telephone were very reassuring, i was always told i could cancel the order if i wanted but i didnt there was no rush.
Finally everything except a couple of things were ordered i got a prompt refund of the items that i couldnt buy in my paypal account. I got an email from Britishonlinesupermarket and DHL monday 3rd Aug with shipment details and it arrived today Thurs 6th Aug. Everything packed brilliantly in bubble wrap, i need scissors to open them, nothing damaged. Better postal delivery than any online retailer ive used including Amazon. Could not be happier and this was a trial order with i am sure more to follow especially with excellent priced delivery. DO NOT EXPECT to get the same prices as if you went to Tesco for example, it is not much more expensive anyway. That didnt bother me and they have to make a few quid to keep this brilliant service running. A very happy bunny here.

I placed an order with British Online Supermarket nearly three weeks ago. My credit card was charged instantly. Since then, I have received no updates. I have sent four follow-up emails, none of which have received a response. I have also called multiple times, but no one answers the phone. I can only assume this company is fraudulent. I am now calling my credit card company to get the funds reimbursed. Buyer beware - I would not order anything from this company.

This was my first order and, even with the present problems, virtually my entire order was fulfilled and arrived extremely well packaged and delivered professionally by DHL. Highly recommend.

I’m baffled, I don’t even know where to start...
They are deliberately lying. I asked them to transfer the mails they are talking about and they never did. I just wanted my money back, and they asked me to change my review first.
Since I didn’t do it, they didn’t refund me and they reported my comment.
Fortunately, I was able to confirm that my comment was legit and it was put back on.
I have opened a claim via PayPal and I hope I’ll get my money back.

I've ordered there a month ago and I didn't receive the order confirmation. 2 days later, they took the money.
I've sent them not one, not two, but 4 mails but they all went unanswered.
I can understand that it may take long to ship my order, but there is no customer service and it's unacceptable.
It's the first time I've ordered there, so I don't know if this site is a scam or not. I've opened a claim via PayPal in order to be refunded.

I placed an order in good faith well over 3 weeks ago but, despite having followed up over a week ago, with assurances that my order would soon be shipped, I have received nothing to date. I would not advise ordering from them.

Placed an order on the 27th May ,money taken from my account right away
Received an email stating "due to the pandemic some items may not be in stock"
Emailed the company asking if they could tell me if my items were available as i have lots of allergies and the item i was after are always out of stock in supermarkets but I've had no reply,sent a further 2 emails which have also been ignored.
If products aren't available then they shouldn’t be able to be purchased .
I understand you may be "short staffed" due to the pandemic but if you haven't got enough staff to answer customer queries then you shouldnt be open at all & definitely shouldn't be taking peoples money...

I wouldn't use this company again,their delivery is nearly the same price as my items and if it wasn't the fact i was led to believe the items were in stock i wouldn't of ordered in the first place.

This should be stated before a customer pays and not in the email you send after.

Not really impressed. Took 4-5days for order to be sent. They never replied to emails. Package arrived , tins and glass items bubble wrapped but the box wasnt sturdy so cereal boxes crushed - not a problem. But so were the bags of crisps one that had exploded.will be reverting back to the British Corner shop that may have a smaller selection but overall a better service. My items were not replaced but credited back to the card as per the site details

Have used this company for some time and the service is excellent. Parcels are well packed ensuring goods arrive undamaged. Staff are always helpful with queries. On the rare occasion that an item has been unavailable a substitute has been offered. Look forward to continuing sending my orders to family overseas with British Online Supermarket.

Great service, and fast delivery

Have used this company before with no problems, however, if there is a problem with delivery, as in my case (non-delivery) the customer service and support is atrocious. My order was not delivered and after chasing it I was informed that a claim would have to go to the courier as they were claiming it was delivered. I was warned that this process was likely to take a long time - I chased this and chased it and most of my e mails were unanswered and the phone calls from Spain cost me a lot of money. This stretched over several months and I had to resort to contacting my credit card company who reimbursed me immediately and took the matter up with the company. So while the going is good there is no problem - but hit a major problem such as mine - paying for goods but not received then you have a very big problem. I will NEVER use this company again.
I have now received below response. I would like to address a couple of points you raised. Parcelforce were sent two full scanned documents listing parcel contents from myself. They advised they did not receive the first one, so on sending the second scanned document I requested written confirmation of receipt, which I duly received, so this comment I do not understand? Secondly, they produced a copy delivery note which just had a 'squiggle' for a recipient signature, which was certainly not mine and could have been attributed to anyone! It is normal practice in Spain for couriers to request national ID numbers from the person signing for the parcel- if Parcelforce had done this it would have been immediately apparent that the recipient was not myself.
All in all a very stressful experience, and yes I was eventually reimbursed, but this was only achieved through my credit card company getting involved. I have been in customer service all my life and can honestly say my career would have been very short lived if I had handled this protracted situation in the manner mine was handled with by British On-line Supermarket and Parcelforce.

Placed order at the start of November for a bunch of Christmas food I can't get in South Africa. Package arrived undamaged with everything all wrapped up in bubble wrap.

Due to a mishap in the company, my order was delayed. Luckily it was not an urgent order and there was no rush for me.
I cannot yet comment on the items as they have not arrived yet.

The customer service was great when I could get a hold of them. I was emailing with Sally and she was fast and helpful.
However, phoning and emailing them had not worked. It was only after posting a review on here that made them reach out to me.

I would take care if you are ordering under strict schedules.
I will soon order from Britishonlinesupermarket again, to test their service and if delays are actually mishap or consistent thing.
I understand that they may be busy during this time of the year.

I will update the rating to 4 or 5 stars after my next order if everything works out!
