Good clear instructions and first class result
I helped someone I know who had written a family history but had no idea how to turn these thousands of words and a pile of old photos into a book.
I edited and formatted the text, scanned the photos, designed a cover and put the whole together. Then I needed to find a printer/publisher.
I looked online and found a number of possible suppliers. What appealed to me about The Book Printing Company in particular was the clarity of their instructions. They made it very clear what I needed to do to produce a file for the inside pages plus a file for the wrap around cover (including the spine). I had a choice of finished book sizes and it was explicitly stated what I needed to leave for the gutter and trim areas, etc. I found the directions had the right amount of detail and clarity that let me be confident that what I was doing would be correct.
And when I did have a couple of questions, on each occasion I got a quick reply from Sue with the information I needed.
Not unimportant of course was price. On this occasion I was only passing on the cost to the author but I wouldn’t have recommended a supplier that didn’t offer a good price and on this too The Book Printing Company was in the right place.
And now that I have received the books I can say without reservation that the quality is terrific. The work I put into layout and formatting as well as to restoring the old photos has been well rewarded.
I’m only too happy to recommend The Book Printing Company to anyone in a similar position.

The Book Printing Company has the best service I have ever experienced. They are very knowledgable, friendly, helpful and provide the most amazing end quality of their product. You can see the care that goes into each job that they receive. Our business has used many different printers in the past and have never been completely happy until we found the Book Printing Company, we will never use anyone else!
