My family has been using four Boardys for almost 8 years and we still love them. We recently sold our last Boardy Kid and bought a new model for my son. (Btw we sold the old Boardy kid scooter for almost as much as we bought it new, because it's discontinued.)
The new model gives the same ride feeling but comes with mudguard which is nice and the overall quality seems more solid. We never had any problems with the old Boardys apart from a flat tire and a slightly ripped grip tape which could be easily replaced thanks to the instructions of the very helpful customer support.

I own both the old and new Boardy scooters. The new version is a clear upgrade—it rolls smoother, and the board’s flexibility makes the impulse more efficient (a little experience helps).
Living in a small Spanish town, I use it daily and it’s perfect for travel too; it fits easily in my car’s trunk. Riding at 14‑17 km/h on flat ground requires very little effort, and the comfort level is excellent.
Overall, the new Boardy is a comfortable, portable commuter that outperforms the older model*.

* (Because I weigh 96 kg, the newer model handles my weight comfortably, while the older models still perform well for lighter riders).

Almost immediate feedback from the company on all inquiries and follow up (after sale). Product exceeded expectations. International delivery was fast and product was very well packaged/protected. Expensive, but materials, design and build quality were top-notch. Overall, a premium product with a *very* pleasant experience pre-and post-sale.

Boardy scooter is like a kickscooter, but Boardy is not a kickscooter, Boardy is a boardscooter. The smooth ride on the Boardy can not be compared to any human powered vehicle. Besides this, Boardy has a very unique design, and high premium quality.

I’ve ridden my Boardy (the new model) daily for over a year (city streets, cobblestones, even rough trail) and it still feels butter-smooth. The flexy wooden deck soaks up every bump metal frames can’t touch, and it really flies on longer runs.

Warning: it’s addictive. After this, hopping back on a basic scooter feels like… well, a rude awakening.

Brake’s solid in all weather once you dial it in. Would I buy it again? In a heartbeat.

Das Boardy ist ein prima Roller, fährt sich leicht, ist leicht und macht unglaublich viel Spaß. 100 km am Tag, bin ich mit dem Boardy schon gefahren - problemlos. Die Qualität ist hoch, nach 3000 km ist noch nichts kaputt, und der Service, als ich noch Extras nachbestellt hatte, freundlich und schnell. Gefaltet passt das Boardy sogar in die Hutablage des ICE. Das Boardy ist mein ständiger Begleiter geworden.

I bought the Boardy Lite scooter and it is absolutely rubbish and not worth £400 for the following reasons:

It doesn't work in the rain
The brakes also don't work in the rain
Made cheaply with only 1 brake
They sell a brake booster on website, they clearly know their own brake doesn't work
I upgraded to a 'folding' version for an extra £110, it doesn't 'fold', it adds about 1kg in weight, the handle bar goes down but doesn't even stay, you can't click it down. This means you can't even carry it when it's folded. It was much easier to leave it unfolded and carry it by the handle, rather than not be able to carry it.
It performs the same as a Xootr scooter, which are less than £150
The Boardy website says it travels "10mph with no effort at all, 20mph with effort" I am extremely fit, my resting heart rate is in the low 40s and the most that scooter would do is about 6mph because it so cheap and inefficient.

If it cost £200, I'd be happy. But at £500, absolute waste of money.
