I ride my bike to and from work and that is 26km (16.2mi) daily.
All year around.

In the evenings on my way home, I have Prior to my Blaze purchase more than once tried to make my fellow road commuters aware of my presence, but to no avail.
Be it by foot, bike or hover craft I have always felt I held the under hand compared to the people I meet/encounter on the road.

Until the Blaze Laser Light.

I have had multiple (that's more than 5) Bus Drivers hail me by waving at me at intersections.
I have had multiple (that's more than 5) Taxi drivers (yes, they are human!) do the same and let me pass.

The Blaze Laser Light make me visible to other participants/users of our roads, and it makes ME feel safe.

This is by far the best investment I have made concerning my personal safety on the road, as a cyclist.

The Blaze cycle light is an ingenious concept developed into an amazing design and then manufactured to the very highest standards. It is a major advance in safety for cyclists. Add to that the incredible responsiveness of the Company to feedback and you have a product and organisation that is going to one of the great success stories of the 21st century.

The Blaze bikelight, itself, is fab. Almost goes without saying since you can just observe the impact it has as you cycle around with the bright green image making you SO much more visible after dark.
What's doubly impressive is the responsiveness to customer feedback that Blaze, the company, have shown. They really want to develop the best possible light for cyclists (and not just the easiest to produce light) which is reliable and pretty damn sexy to boot.

I look forward to night rides, since I started using the laser Blaze light. Drivers give me couple of extra second's attention, and a wider berth, so I know I'm safer. And the device itself looks great, and produces a bright, long-lasting standard white light. Its a luxury, but highly recommended.

The blaze bike light looks awesome. From the smart looking packaging it fits easily onto the bike handle bars. It is a strong light and I think the lazer projection is great fun.

The lazer turns heads and makes people double take. For me in London it is brilliant at making pedestrians, glued to thier mobiles, stop and not to step out into the road without looking. It is also a great conversation starter at traffic lights!

Others reported an issue with the 1st gen bracket but I never had any problems. Even so Blaze sent me a second bracket, their customer care is good! I believe all new lights come with the newer bracket, so no issue.

Its fun, different and keeps me safe.

The first time I watched their product video in the Kickstarter campaign I got very possitive impressions. They really do things well. They get an idea. They love it. They follow it. They improve. They develop. They write long letters to the customers. They send Christmas cards. They appologize for the delay, just because they want to deliver the best product to you. What else can I say. A company with a great attitude.

We all know what the French did with heads during their Revolution. I suppose all revolutions involve heads in some manner even if that involvement is benign.

BLAZE is a revolutionary approach to bicycle safety and heads, instead of rolling, turn! Since I received my BLAZE laser light, every time I've been riding at night I've noticed that everyone around me turns their head to find the source of the green bicycle-shaped light on the road . . . and I mean EVERYONE. Drivers, walkers, joggers, people sitting on benches, leaning against motor vehicles, it matters not, they all start to swivel their heads and, occasionally, point.

There isn't enough room here to relate the things that have been said but, take my word for it, it almost always means, "Hey! Look! There must be a bicycle coming!" I assure you, this never happened when I was riding with the usual bicycle lights, in blinking mode or steady.

BLAZE has been very good about working with me when I had a small problem. The team responded quickly and a solution was on its way. It has been a pleasure working with them.

The Blaze laserlight is an awesome addition for any safety-concious cycle commuter, or other cyclists looking to stand out from the crowd. Had some initial problems with the bracket of the light, but Blaze's support are excellent and sent out a replacement with no questions asked.
