Thank you for great service

I ordered a insulated trolley after watching it in bid TV and this was my first purchase thru bid tv. I was charged around 15 pounds for the product including the delivery charges. After 2 weeks of non delivery , I contacted the customer support and they told me they will investigate . I was send a document to sign and send via post. To my surprise after 27 days , I found a parcel in my front garden and it was the product . It seems like The parcel guys simply threw it in my garden and rushed away . I called up the customer service again and told them about it and said I don't need this anymore as it was delivered (rather I would say thrown into my garden) almost 4 weeks . I returned the product back .

They paid me just the cost of the product and did not pay the delivery charge which I paid (almost 8 pounds) despite doing a bad untimely delivery .

I got a similair product from croydon for 10 pounds and I use it now . Well I would suggest anyone looking to buy from bid shopping to be watchful that you may find products at a cheaper price in high streets which you can feel before you buy. They also do not return the delivery charges which I feel is quite high.

Overall price - Not worth considering my painstaking experience.

ordered several items for Christmas presents, all the perfumes and aftershaves came with damaged boxes so didn't look ideal to give as gifts,
one item of clothing had a hole in the back where they had cut out the label??
other items ok, apart from one item missing from order which I had to call their expensive cust service helpline to find out about, told to wait it may turn up separately, it never did, then I had a message from them to say thanks for returning the item, (that I had never received in the first place) and really wanted!!!
they do seem a bit hit and miss to me, you may get your items ...you may not and if its for a gift be careful the packaging may be damaged and the clothing can be poor quality on some items,(the ones that seem a real low price....that's why!!!). on this basis i probably wouldn't use again as the postage is very high and you may need to return which again is expensive.

Thats right they don't sell new....unless it comes from mass produced China.

Their ebay site - Oceantreetrading sells the same cr*p for half the price and sometimes with free P+P and in most cases the P+ is £3.00 tops...

The brands are rejects that Richard Bransons team sources and sells to us at over the top prices for inferior products.

Shop through others for bargains the £5.99 p+p does exist don't pretend it doesn't to justify telling everyone it only cost you a fiver because in reality it cost you closer to eleven quid...it's an invitation to treat.

Bid and its ilke make more money on the p+p than the product in some cases.

Mass posting is cheap for bid...items often only cost £2.00 to send bid making £3.99 on the deal....think before you buy!

Lets get to the point shall we! This site and all other affiliates of it are rubbish!

So, you want to become a first time buyer? Nah forget that. I'll list the reasons you're to AVOID LIke YOUR WALLETS OR DESIGNER PURSE DEPENDS ON IT..

1. Customer service call center is based in another country -
the idiots of the world will go, "SO?" I'll say, they'll steal your details and commit all sorts of crimes against you and you wont even know. What can you or the authorities here in the UK for that matter do about it if its happening thousands of miles away. There's only so much you or they can do. Its a hassle you can do without, trust.


2. The phone call you make is an expensive one. They'll say its £1.53 from BT landlines but what about everywhere else like Virgin or Sky?? or on mobile networks? YOU DON'T KNOW! PLEASE TELL US!

3. You think you getting a pretty decent bargain?
"Oh aye, I'm getting a pretty decent bargain me, by making a purchase and at bid.tv." NOOOOOOO PEOPLES...Noooo! I'll explain.

Okay, £6 off, BUT WAIT! You need to factor in the reduced delivery charge (before £7.99 - NOW £5.99) and the rippoff phone call. Virgin will charge you £3.00, sooo all in all the whole thing costs £62.82. I cudda brought me a loaf of bread, Milk, and Weetabix with that money.

4. Luxury Subscriptions

They stick you with a FREE subscription, and so you're not charged £35.00, you MUST unsubscribe within a fortnight of receiving details about your subscription via post or you'll be charged £35.00.

After I made my purchase, I says to the man over the phone "Look, how many more times do I have to say to ya? I don't want the subscription". But he weren't having it. He said, "but sir you can unsubscribe within 14 days of the receipt of your Luxury Brochure". Okay I says, then I hang up the phone. 14 days later, they charge me 35 quid. SIGH!

Ordered an iron, Didn't receive it, called to chase and they advised it had been sent.

After some investigation, they advised me it had been left in my shed as I want in........which was great as at the time I ordered, I lived in a house with NO SHED!!

I asked for a refund, which had to wait for a letter to be sent to me to sign, then had to post back.

Haven't checked my bank for a day or so, but as it stands....still no refund.

Wont be using them again and I advise you dont!!

have purchased many items. All very satisfactory. Great delivery times. Postage a bit pricy though.
