Dirty Pool and bad customer service experience
I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Oasis Sports Centre.
I booked two swimming sessions and was shocked by the cleanliness of the facilities. There were plasters floating in the pool, litter around the poolside area including crisp packets and food wrappers, and the changing rooms and toilets were not clean. The women’s changing facilities are currently being refurbished, which I understand, but the temporary facilities still need to be maintained to an acceptable hygiene standard.
I contacted Better to request a refund due to the condition of the facilities, but my request was declined on the basis that the bookings were non-refundable and that the sessions had been used. However, the issue was that I could only discover the condition of the facilities after entering the centre and using my booking.
I am shocked that I am being denied a refund as I was in the facilities for a very limited time due to the state of the pool and changing areas

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your recent visits to Oasis Sports Centre.
The cleanliness concerns you have raised, including litter around the poolside, debris in the pool, and the condition of the changing and toilet facilities, are not the standards we aim to provide. We appreciate that the ongoing refurbishment of the women's changing rooms may have added to your frustration, however temporary facilities should still be maintained to an acceptable standard.
We understand why you were unhappy with the outcome of your refund request. However, our booking terms state that bookings are non-refundable once the activity has been attended and the booking has been used. While we recognise that your concerns relate to the condition of the facilities rather than a change of mind, attendance and use of the session mean the booking falls outside our refund policy.
That said, your feedback regarding the cleanliness of the centre is important and has been shared with the management team so that the issues raised can be reviewed and addressed appropriately. We apologise that your experience did not meet expectations.

I love the Oasis in Endell Street
I love the Oasis in Endell Street. I have Antonio as my PT and he is amazing!! The gym has amazing equipment and is very spacious. The indoor pool is never too busy and the location is fantastic:)

Excellent Swimming lessons for little ones
Our 5 years old take swimming lessons here, and the teachers are amazing and it is such a great value. The facilities are clean. No complaints.

Shocked at the level of green slime in…
Shocked at the level of green slime in the outdoor pool today. It’s quite unbelievable that it’s allowed to operate.
The men’s changing area (downstairs as a temporary one?) was also filthy with blood / nose “snot” on the toilet cubicles.

• GLL's new policy of dictating music…
• GLL's new policy of dictating music choices at Oasis Sports Centre has caused instructors to leave and a decline in class quality and variety.
• Management has ignored member concerns, who are now demanding a return to previous class standards and the reinstatement of specific instructors.
• Members find the current situation depressing and boring.
• We want Alix back who is exceptionally excellent in doing the step and dance fitness classes

We’re aware that there has been some concern and confusion about the changes to music licensing in our fitness classes from this Spring.
In late 2025 we became aware that the cost of our current music license that covers all our 250 leisure centres and gyms across the UK would increase significantly. As a charitable social enterprise focused on community benefit, we carefully reviewed our options to ensure we continue to invest our resources responsibly and sustainably.
Following this review, we asked our fitness instructors to transition to PPL pre-cleared, royalty-free music. This approach allows us to manage rising costs while continuing to deliver the high-quality classes you expect.
In practical terms, all instructors are being provided with free access to Power Music; one of the most widely used fitness music platforms. Power Music enables instructors to create their own playlists using professionally recorded studio tracks (not AI-generated), giving them flexibility while ensuring full compliance with licensing requirements.
We hope this provides reassurance and clarity about why we have made this decision, the care we have taken to engage with and support our instructors and our commitment to maintaining your class experience. As we implement these changes we will continue to monitor feedback and engage with staff and customers.

Oasis Sports centre is amazing
Oasis Sports centre is amazing, our community is lucky to have such a great place. Staff is friendly, the squash courts are awesome, pools are great (although can be a little busy) and gym is great too.

Not good
This centre is currently down from 5 to 3 women's toilets while renovation works are done. Of the 3 toilets remaining, 1 is out of order and 2 have large holes in the cubicle doors door where the locks should be. Repairs seem to take months.
Cleaners constantly mop the already soggy changing room floors with what appears to be neat fairy liquid - it clings to trainer soles and creates a slip hazard. Meanwhile, the studios are never cleaned. When you get on the floor for a yoga or stretch session you see how dirty it is! The club currently has a good class timetable but not for much longer, as great instructors are being driven out by GLL's draconian new music policy that bans them from playing their own music.

Great staff and gym facilities
Staff were very friendly and kind. Would always greet us and sometimes we have a good chat too. The gym is spacious and not over crowded. There is a wide range of equipments and facilities that are all in good condition and clean. All in all a very happy place with pleasant experiences.
