Classes hard to book onto and often cancelled with no notice
The app is a nightmare to use. Classes fill up so quickly it’s almost impossible to get a space. I’ve managed to book onto Zumba just 4 times in about 3 months. On two of those occasions the instructor didn’t turn up, and on another of the occasions the instructor wasn’t there so cover was arranged, but the person covering the class said that they had never done Zumba before.
When I requested refunds four sessions that don’t go ahead, I’ve had to chase repeatedly then have been given credit rather than being given my money back

Our account has been cancelled twice
Our account has been cancelled twice, without apparent reason. We have been told that it was us who cancelled the direct debit with our bank, but it was not the case. We had to get in touch with Better twice for them to reinstate the direct debit. At today, we haven't been told what happened. We hope there won't be a third time

Upon looking at your account, I can see that it does state that your Direct Debit instruction was cancelled.
We are unable to cancel a Direct Debit instruction; only the customer or bank can do this. So if you have not cancelled it, we would advise speaking with your bank directly.

The toliets at Forest Hill London need…
The toliets at Forest Hill London need to be checked at regular intervals during the day, I can go into the toilets and find excrement in more than one toilet.
Also if you put the seat down its covererd with hair, dirt and urine on the back rim, which gives clear indication that the toilets are not been cleaned properly. No respect to the service users is been shown and no pride in those that are suppose to be cleaning them. The only reason I use that center is because of the swimming pool. I dread using the toilets and hate that I need to use them. I will say that you cannot always avoid this happening but the fact that the toilet seat and other areas of the toilet are dirty
anyway says it all.
ALTHOUGH I HAVE HAD TO PUT A DATE. THIS IS AN ONGOING EXPERIENCE

I am a returning customer to Forest Hill LC after a gap of several years, and was really disappointed by the quality and range of the equipment in the gym now. Most of the weights machines and cv machines appear to be quite old and are not functioning as smoothly as they should. It doesn't meet the standard that I would expect. The pool, however, is great.

Make the water in swimming pool warmer
The water in Forest Hill swimming pool it’s extremely cold. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Clean spaces, working equipment. I had no complaints on both the gym and the swimming pool that I use. It's never too crowded, but always a good idea to book in advance.

I've booked a 6 week swim doctor…
I've booked a 6 week swim doctor course. No problems the first week but went back the second and they denied all knowledge of my booking and wouldn't let me in. Still waiting for and answer from them 3 days later. No idea as to whether to turn up next week or not.

I was referred by my GP and Alex gave me a fitness programme. With regular monthly reviews with Alex I have been able to extend my ability on the cardio machines, and start to feel a real difference in my fitness. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter first lessson was great !
My daughter first lessson was great !! The man she had was amazing.
She was very nervous so the life guard asked her permission to hold her hand to take her to the teacher ……. All she kept saying is on the way home I can’t wait for next week.
She actually got moved up in her first lesson but again was lovely my daughter was asked how do you feel about this …….. great communication.

Great adult swimming lesson but filthy changing and shower areas
My son and I have just started swimming lesson at the pool. The swimming teachers are great, we had a wonderful time.
However, the showers and changing are cubicles absolutely filthy! Someone needs to go an wipe down the mould on the walls 🤢

Excellent swimming instructor
I have tried different instructor as a beginner in the daytime, but my experience with David (Monday evenings) was excellent. He was very patient and tolerant of each beginner putting into consideration that we all learn at different pace.
He explained the fundamental tips of swimming which is important for beginners to know.
He was very reassuring and made all of us feel relaxed and comfortable in the water. I was glad that I tried the evening sessions, the two evenings with David was my best lessons so far.

Staff so helpful.I was .it's cool and well maintained. I was referred from the Lewisham Cardio rehab on a 12 week programme with Alex ..It was brilliant ! He was brilliant, so supportive. Gradually building up our confidence which is why I have joined the gym.
