We were made welcome from start to finish. The sales colleague could not have been any more helpful. It makes such a difference dealing with someone who cares about the customers needs.

One of the worst customer experiences I have had in my life.

My wife and I bought a bed for ourselves and for our daughter back in July.

Our daughter's bed was out of stock at the time so we were happy to wait as the wait was expected to be around 6 weeks.

We then got an email at the end of September to say there had been a further delay until the middle of December, without an explanation.

My wife then received a phone call to say the delay was down to a shipping issue affected by the conflict in Gaza, I found this incredibly difficult to believe and why would it take so long to tell us this, a severe lack of transparency but we thought okay, we will give it one last chance.

The week before the bed was due to be delivered, my wife phoned up and everything was on track according to customer service.

The morning before the delivery day is when things really became a pantomime, we had already dismantled our bed and disposed of it that morning, we then got a phone call to say our bed would not be getting delivered due to "supplier issues"

Now my head doesn't button up the back, I would respect Bensons if they admitted they had sold our bed by accident instead of the old chestnut of supplier issues, 6 months to deliver two beds is nothing short of comical, you would think we asked Bensons to make us two Faberge eggs.

The frustration is off the scale at this point, my wife phoned customer service and the person she dealt with had the temerity to have a go back at her, despite Bensons leaving my wife and I without a bed for Christmas.

We then got put from pillar to post trying to get a refund for our bed, and the cherry on top from the company, they did not even have the decency to do a CHAPS payment so we could get our refund quicker to buy a new bed.

I do have to say the two boys who came to deliver and build up my daughter's bed were fantastic and an asset to the company, as for the front and back office staff, a lot to be desired.

I will never use this company again, avoid at all costs.
