Biggleswade shop were helpful and polite. Delivery was on time and Barry and Steve were polite and efficient.

Ian was excellent very profesional in helping sort out what i needed. Couldnt have asked for better service he took time and it was very much apreciated thank you

I've waited a while to do this review, primarily to calm down.

We went to the Biggleswade store on a Sunday to purchase a new bed, we went for a TV bed and mattress.

Unfortunately when we were paying the manager put the transaction through our credit card 3 times, he kept saying the card machines not working and unplugging it. When we left the store believing we had not been able to pay, we didn't know all the transactions had actually gone through.

Our bank rejected the 3rd transaction as suspected fraud, but he still managed to max out our credit card with two pending transactions. We went immediately back to the store, I would love to say the manager was super helpful, but he wasn't. Don't worry he said "they're only pending transactions, we won't actually take the money." Thats not the point, pending transactions count towards the spending limit, so we couldn't use the card!

Monday as soon as head office was open we called, the first person we spoke to was not very helpful, promised to phone back but didn't. Did the manger of the store inform head office of the mess created, NO!!! We went back to the store, the manger was on leave!

Tuesday we called head office again and this time we got someone who cared, she was wonderful. She couldn't believe what had happened. She said everyone is trained that you never unplug a card machine because it treats it as a power cut and stores the transaction until it's online again.

It turns out the manager had somehow created duplicate orders so both pending transactions were taken, yes they took both amounts!

We got our money back but it was extremely stressful, we spent a huge amount of time on the phone to Bensons head office and our bank.

The manager actually had the front to call us a week later to see if we wanted to still go ahead, he'd offer an extra discount for the "confusion"!!!

Bensons did give us a voucher to use in store as compensation, but realistically we're never going to use it. You would have thought they would have offered some cash compensation considering the enormity of the mess created.

We went to get a double mattress and managed to also get two side boards as well. Staff polite and professional.

Very happy with the service I recived. Very happy with my bed.

Assistant was helpful, knowledgeable and importantly there was no hard sell.

Very good salesman, I explained what my budget was and what I was looking for and he knew exactly what to show me. Good choice of options that made my decision easy and after laying on a few comfortable mattresses I made my choice. Paperwork done quickly, option to put my new bed together made.easy to pay & delivery booked .

We was left to look round on our own and didn’t feel pressured to buy anything but was then told about the products once we had decided what we wanted

All shop and delivery personnel were polite and efficient. However, delivery was delayed by 20 days. (The fault of Brexit and not Bensons as some parts were made in Europe). When we asked about help with assembling the bed after delivery, no-one got back to us. Fortunately, we managed to do it ourselves and it hasn't collapsed yet.

Very helpful salesperson who accepted our order, then accommodated our delivery date and provided all the information we needed to confirm our purchase.

Ten months after spending £2400 on a Stables Utopia Zip and Link mattress it started to smell like a barnyard. Bensons sent an 'independent' inspector from who supported Bensons' view that it cannot be a manufacturing fault. He did this just by looking at the cover and bouncing on it and his written report did not reflect the conversation we had with him. Bensons Five Year Warranty is therefore completely worthless in my opinion as they do not accept that faults can arise after delivery. Customer service has been a complete joke and they have effectively washed their hands of the problem. The last thing we were told by Ian as we parted with our money was - don't worry, the 5 year warranty provides all the protection you will ever need. A complete joke but a very expensive one as we now need to buy a new mattress and bin one that was unusable after 10 months.

Update: Every Bensons response to reviews are just platitudes. No effective resolutions to customer reviews just "we'll make sure we do better in future". I want my money back !

On arrival at the store we wasn’t jumped on for a sale and appreciated being left to browse untill we had questions to ask, we was advised greatly and informed well of every detail , would recommend a visit to the store brilliant 🤩

Very helpful sales person. Showed us various options to choose from. Not due delivery if bed yet so no more to say at present.

Excellent service salesman so helpful and not pushy at all. Answered all our questions and gave us time to look around and talk between us about what we wanted. Thanks again bensons

Hanif was brilliant and remembered us from a previous visit, he was extremely welcoming and provided us with useful information to help make the best decision for us without being pushy!

Fantastic service.
The guy came to help me immediately. I explained what I wanted and he looked at a comparison bed which was actually a better price. Explained everything about mattress types and pointed me to what he felt was suited to my needs. Very informative and friendly throughout.

Ordered 3 mattresses from the Biggleswade store, the salesperson Mr Hanif was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, definitely recommend!
