Great post purchase service

We had bought an oil filled heater in December 2023 and been very pleased with it. Last week we turned it on and it failed to heat despite power available. It was out of guarantee but Belaco kindly sent us a brand new replacement. Thank you, what great service!

Great service

After nearly a years trouble free usage my Belaco heater ceased to work. I fully expected to have trouble with the company after so long a period of use, but the Customer Service I experienced was truly excellent, a very sympathetic young lady (Daisy) came to the rescue of a confused 91 year old who was not at all "computerate" and now a replacement is on its way. I cannot give enough praise to the company, deal with them with confidence.

Though very light weighted compared to my faulty oil filled radiator, it heats the room to my satisfaction. I even have to turn it off most times.

Good product, good customer service

I bought a small oil-filled radiator for my bathroom on Amazon. It's a good heater, but one of the feet was broken, so I contacted the company and they sent me a new one. Great customer service.

Very quick delivery…and return

The mini oven with rotisserie was delivered in my hands by the courier within 24 hrs of ordering. Never used this Brand before but encouraged by the good reviews
I do regret doing this but I had to return the oven, it quickly became apparent that there was a gremlin in the wiring regarding the rotisserie function which stopped every time the thermostat operated, although to their credit a return and refund was quickly arranged the product itself had me deducting a couple of stars, sorry

Belaco heater

My heater arrived faulty not that I realised this until I tried to use it
and the heater bar made the on/off button extremely hot. I sent a photo to customer service & within a few days a replacement heater has been sent out to me. Everything works fine & I would recommend this heater & gr8 customer service support

Belaco: how to treat a customer right!

This is a brilliant company who have displayed their commitment to understanding how to deliver customer satisfaction. Firstly, their communication is key and professional. There was a little difficulty in figuring out how to get through to contact them due to the ‘Amazon’ app bugging, however that is no fault of their own.

Upon receiving my parcel, it was damaged and unfortunately the unit inside damaged too. I explained this to Belaco to which they responded with plenty of reasonable and appropriate choices I could take to rectify matters. As the product initially worked like a treat, I felt no need to return my new air conditioner and truly enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, the product had finally failed after a few months and I was faced with the daunting prospect of not being able to return the item but Belaco completely understood and once again handed me options for how to resolve this. I cannot stress how amazing it felt to have a direct line of communication with a company that did not feel like a robotic death trap designed by a greedy mega corporation.

They have truly raised the standard of customer service in my eyes and I would gladly do business with them again. Their humanity and integrity are beacons of hope in a strained relationship between consumer and supplier; they have all my appreciation and respect.

Dehumidifier: fantastic! - Instructions: TERRIBLE! 😆

Bought the 'Belaco 20L Compressor Dehumidifier (Model BDD018L)' a few days ago and used it for the first time yesterday; it worked amazingly well.

I have a wall-mounted barometer, thermometer and hydrometer in my living room and for years, whenever I’ve used the bath, the hydrometer registers the humidity as increasing to around 80% (I have to leave the bathroom door open. It's an internal room and gets unbearable if the door is kept closed).

In the hope of the moist air moving towards the front of the flat which is warmer, I also leave the living room door open.

After every bath, the living room windows get steamed up and in cooler weather, condensation streams down the walls.

Yesterday, however, I set my new dehumidifier to 55% with the fan at high speed and took a bath as usual.

I couldn't believe my eyes on returning to the living room. Not only were the walls completely dry but the windows were crystal clear -there was absolutely no misting whatsoever.

On the front of the dehumidifier, the ‘humidity range indicator light’ had changed from green to blue, showing there'd been an increase in the ambient humidity. However, the hydrometer on the wall, that would ordinarily have been displaying "80%" by that point, was only hovering at just over 55%.

Granted, yesterday was pleasantly sunny and dry for October (and the dehumidifier had registered 49% before I started my bath) but given what I've endured FOR YEARS in my flat, I was stunned to find the living room so dry.

As for the instructions for the machine, well...

On the dehumidifier's box, it says, "Belaco […] THE GREAT BRITISH BRAND [...] Made in China."

I can only assume that the instructions might have been originally written in Mandarin and then poorly translated?

Did anyone at Belaco actually look at them, before sending them out with the company’s amazing machines? I don't think so! 😄

An example of what I mean:
Copied word for word from page 2, under the heading "Safety Precautions Warning":

"11. Minors are used under adult surveillance and can not be used for play."

Also-

"12. This product does not apply to [...] people with poor intelligence, unless used under normal human surveillance."

(Dang… I don’t think I even know any “normal humans” and the dehumidifier wasn't supplied with one! 🤣)

The rest of the instructions are just as awkwardly written.

For example, there's NO MENTION of the 'Standard Dehumidifier' icon, flashing. I thought the machine might have been faulty!

I pressed buttons, the compressor suddenly shuddered into action and I was scared that I'd broken something!

It took me a while to realise that the 'Standard Dehumidifier' icon flashes when the desired humidity level has been reached (or if the room is already arid).

Basically, the compressor isn't running and dehumidification is NOT taking place.

So the instructions are just a tad frustrating.

Nevertheless, the dehumidifier seems solid and I was HUGELY impressed by its performance yesterday –recently, when I’d opened a window in an attempt to reduce humidity, THREE spiders arrived in the space of 20 seconds!

The dehumidifier is a massive Godsend; I’m really pleased that my brother recommended the company (he has three Belaco dehumidifiers running in his house)!

P.S. Dear Belaco, I see that the company takes the time to respond to reviews.

Before you respond to mine, please take a look at the instruction leaflet, being sent out with your 'BDD018L' model.
If the leaflet could be corrected please, so that it’s more useful and then posted onto your website as a pdf, customers such as myself could then download it and get the most out of your amazing machines- thank you so much!
