Really poor food. Overpriced. My omelette was like rubber and barely warm. Sent it back the second one not much better. My partner ordered cheesy chips (extra money) luke warm with a pile of unmelted grated cheese on top. The service not great either.

Food was lovely
Heating had broken
Service was very slow
We didn’t have a dessert as cold in there
Not like it used to be.

So I walked into shop big display for Prosecco and chocolates £12.99 thought that’s good got a box went to till £45.99 when I said no it says that’s for a small bottle. I told her no small bottles where price is. What a joke, also food has gone so down hill and now makes it overpriced on portions you get now.

Let me start by saying up to about a year ago this place was awesome re food. So Such a shame as it used to be a great place to drop in for lunch. They seem to be cutting corners and the service has dropped off. Service on last visit was very slow. Yes they were busy but the Waitress was totally flustered. Had to wait ages for drinks. Had to wait ages to take order. Food was average given cost. Tea was like water and when we mentioned it was told "the tea is weak here, and some people order another bag"....EH?
They now seem to sell almost everything in the shop rather than quality. Spreading themselves thin. Trying to accommodate everything rather than be great in fewer areas. I won't be back for food in a while now.

Took my friend for afternoon tea having been before. The staff were lovely and very helpful but the food was very disappointing nothing like it used to be. Don’t think I’ll be taking anyone else

Lovely breakfast (as usual) and super service this morning.

Sadly disappointing from previous visits. Asked to pay bill whilst still eating meal at 445 as manager wanted to leave on time. No further offers of drinks or pudding. They don’t close till 530

Beckworth Emporium is a real nice place to spend an afternoon just browsing. The restuarant is large,spacious and clean. The staff are very polite and helpful. The food is good. Following lunch we bought some plants and other products from Beckworths own brand. At the till I thought the bill sounded a bit much so took the receipt, which I don't always do these days, and checked it in the car. I noticed that 2 lavender plants, that were priced at £9.99 each on the pot but on a 2 for £15 offer, had been charged at £9.99 for one and £11.99 for the other. Another plant that said £4.99 on the pot was charged at £5.99. I went back in to inquire. The manager was summoned and told me that the lavender I had picked up was not part of the deal. I told him there was a sign saying so but he said there was no signage and that the offer was on a sticker placed on the relevant pots only. The only difference that I could see was that the plants I bought were in a grey pot and he said the ones on offer were in purple pots. He offered me a refund on the lavender and I went back and collected 2 plants in purple pots. They were mixed in with lavender in grey pots and there were at least 2 signs that I noted saying " 2 for £15."
I informed him of this on returning to the tills . He said he would review this and to be fair he gave me the 2 lavender plants for £10 by way of an apology. He also refunded the £1 for the other plant I was over charged for. It's just a warning to everyone to check the receipt.

this is the place to go for immaculately prepared and served food by lovely efficient staff.
you cant book in advance but at very busy times you will be given a pager so that you can browse while you wait. you are always called sooner rather than later but is always worth the wait. once you have been you will always look forward to the next time.
the menu is not huge but allows the food to be prepared and cooked properly.
love it and have taken others who think the same.

Visited Beckworth for the first time since the refurbishment, beautiful decor and ambiance, lovely food/price for quality. The elevated decor makes it a lovely venue for a special occasion. Afternoon tea is a must try!

It’s a nice place to go with plenty of choice covering fresh food, drinks along with homeware and garden accessories. Staff are always helpful and polite but trying to eat there is a joke. No booking system and almost impossible to eat there without lengthy queues. I won’t bother anymore as there are other places to go in Northampton

Seventh year in a row for Christmas Dinner, always pleasant staff, friendly, welcoming and reassuring in the current climate. Food was excellent and service prompt and professional, thank you. Already had the track and trace app so not a chore or issue to scan in as requested and rightly so. Tables well spaced and I felt happy with all Beckworth have done to keep both us and their colleagues safe. Special thank you to Carole and Virginia (?) for looking after us. Merry Christmas

Outstanding garden centre clean all plant were in excellent condition Red Robin large shrubs for less than you pay in DIY shops and much bigger. They also sell food their fresh fruit looked like it was fake it was so fresh clean and shiny. There is a huge choice of food plants and home made produce. I live in MK and it's in Mears Ashby so a bit of a drive but WELL WORTH IT. I've never seen a garden centre so well stocked. The staff are welcoming and that makes a difference.
