Barras Home Improvements Ltd Recenzje

When we set out to transform our kitchen (hadn't been changed for 25 years), we weren't interested in playing it safe. We wanted a space with real character—bold and sophisticated, and executed with uncompromising quality.
From the very first sit-down, James and John listened to what we wanted and matched our vision step for step. Barras is a family business so understood us as customers
They took a creative, high-energy brief and turned it into an architectural triumph. The balance of tone, texture, and tailored functionality is perfect for us.
The installation team and tradespeople on-site were nothing short of exceptional. In an industry where attention to detail often plays second fiddle to speed, these workers operate like craftsmen of the highest order.
Every line is laser-precise, every finish is flawless, and the efficiency of the entire process was top-tier. They were professional, extraordinarily tidy, respectful, and brought a cracking work ethic to the project every single day.
The Barras guys (Steve, Martin, Matt) were brilliant, with nothing too much trouble. Gary project managed the job and was always available to answer any queries, however daft these queries were!
Thanks again for a perfect kitchen, next up for us is the bathroom.

We are absolutely delighted with the service from Barras. From browsing options in the showroom to the final installation, James, Gary, and the team were consistently helpful and responsive. When our nearly 100-year-old subfloor presented an unexpected challenge, they quickly provided a practical solution and delivered on every promise. We’ll definitely be back soon to get quotes for the rest of our floors!

Can’t speak highly enough of Barras. We were completely remodelling our new home and came to Barras for help with our kitchen.

Gary and James couldn’t have been more helpful in helping us to plan and design our new Macintosh kitchen. They also helped us to navigate several issues and a 6-month construction delay caused by our builders.

Carm and Steve, our Barras fitters, also did a great job, including helping us out with altering a cabinet position at short notice when our worktop supplier caused us issues and delay prior to worktop installation.

We were left dejected after every other supplier in our project let us down multiple times along the way, but the team at Barras stood out as people we could genuinely rely on to reliably deliver, care about their work, and care about us as clients.

Barras will absolutely be our first port of call for any future renovation work. Thank you again for all of your help.

This review is for Barras sheds
Had William's men a few weeks ago to install a fence in back garden. They did such a great job we got them back to do front garden. Again they've done an excellent job. Really sturdy fencing at reasonable price. I highly recommend these guys. They are so helpful and nothing is any bother for them

Excellent service, very caring and professional. Kept me informed throughout, very pleased with quality of work and the whole process from start to finish. Would certainly recommend.

The staff were completely trustworthy and pleasant to have around and communicated with us creatively and helpfully keeping us up to speed with their progress and did a wonderful job.

Professional service from start to finish. Great attention to detail from friendly and knowledgeable tradesmen . I would highly recommend Barras home improvements .

Barras were outstanding from start to finish—we can’t recommend them highly enough.

We got three quotes, but two felt flat and uninspiring. Then we met Gary, and everything changed. His enthusiasm, ideas, and attention to what we wanted made all the difference—and the end result is a stunning bathroom.

The team arrived exactly as planned and were brilliant throughout: professional, respectful, and great to have around. Watching the bathroom come together was genuinely exciting.

There were a couple of small hiccups (including a wrong shower cubicle), but nothing fazed them. They handled everything quickly and seamlessly.

Special thanks to Gary, Malcolm, and Steve—true professionals and masters of their craft.

A fantastic experience from start to finish.

Very pleased indeed to have chosen Barras on the recommendation of a neighbour to design and install a new bathroom. An excellent, helpful and professional service.Fitters, plasterers and electricians all polite, efficient and friendly.Very pleased withe final result, highly recommended.

We choose Barras to do our kitchen renovation as we wanted to work with a company that could offer complete project management from start to finish. Barras had previously installed our fitted bedroom wardrobes 3 years ago and so we were already confident in their workmanship.
The quote was completely transparent showing all costs in the finest detail, this enabled us to make adjustments in order to fit in with our budget whilst still giving us the kitchen that we wanted. We made several changes along the way, which were never a problem and Barras were able to help us with some design suggestions.
Fitters were all a pleasure to deal with, nothing was too much trouble and their attention to detail was second to none. We would not hesitate to recommend Barras and wouldn't hesitate to use them again

I have been to Barras for various renovations for 20 years now and they have always done a wonderful job. My most recent room was my bathroom - which I had changed into a shower room (owing to my inability to use my bath). Once again, I returned to Barras for help and they didn’t disappoint. From Gary and James and the rest of the team mainly Malcolm and Steve, once again they didn’t disappoint me.
I have always said “in the past I’ve tried the rest and now I always go to the best”.
I will always go to Barras for any future renovations.

An excellent job, great quality, the finish is superb. WE are really pleased.

I would like to thank all at Barras home improvements especially Garry & his team all my questions answered truthfully & nothing was too much trouble. Would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks for all youre hard work guy's. Mandy

This was the fifth job we have had completed by this company.
Which shows the confidence we have in them.
Some parts of this particular job were something new to this company but as expected was completed to the highest standard.
It was a complete front room refresh which involved removing arches, a brand new plastered ceiling, coving, led lighting, moving electrical sockets, wiring in a new RJ45 terminal, installing speaker terminals, Amtico flooring and new skirting boards and architrave. They were impeccably clean throughout the entire process and the finished result is once again stunning.
So a big thnk you to John, James, Andy, Matt, Martin and Gary for yet another fantastic job completed.
I would not hesitate to recommend this family company to anyone looking to do home improvements, even if its not listed as something they do on their website go in and speak to them you will not be disappointed.

This is our third project with Barras, a kitchen, a bathroom and now a bedroom. The fact that we continue to use this company shows the excellent service, professionalism and workmanship that we have experienced. All staff are professional and knowledgeable in their areas and keen to provide us with good advice throughout the process. Our room was completely stripped back, reboarded and plastered. The ceiling was lowered and new lighting system fitted. A new radiator was added and a floor was also laid. An old bedroom door was mended before the whole room was decorated. There are many style and colour choices available for the outside of the bedroom units, but more importantly for us was the configuration of the inside. John, Gary and James must be praised for their initial advice, 3D design and project management. Many thanks must go to Andy, Matthew and Martin who made the design a reality.

I had my kitchen done from start to finish they’re absolutely amazing love my kitchen everybody compliments how nice it is. They’re after care which has not been big issues just little hinges and they’re all replaced with no hesitation. Can’t recommend them enough.

Professional, reliable, experienced and easy to deal with. Fantastic service from beginning to end. Would recommend them.

We have recently trusted Barras home improvements to design and fit our new kitchen. John the owner came out and spent time with us to let us know what could be done such as moving the cooker, washing machine and dishwasher to a different part of the kitchen. We wanted the back door bricked up and a window put in. This was not a problem and John said Martin could do this. We went back to the shop to look at different items from ovens, hobs extractor fan, washing machine, dishwasher, work surfaces, colour scheme and low maintenance ceiling etc. An estimate was sent to us by Email within a couple of days. A starting date was arranged and work started on time. As we were keeping the floor as it was they put down protection. We were told work would last about 3 to 4 weeks. It actually took 3 weeks and a day. Martin bricked the back door up and fitted a window. He also plastered the walls. Matthew did all the electrical work and Steve did the fitting of the cupboards etc and plumbing. The workmanship is 1st class to a high standard. We would like to say a big thank you to them for all of their hard work. Also a big thank you so John for the designing of the kitchen, Gary for managing the project and James for putting it all on computer for us so that we could see what it would look like. Thank you all. Would use you again and highly recommend you.

We decided to update our bedroom and have an ensuite shower fitted and also modernise our bathroom, having seen work completed by Barras Home Improvements we had no hesitation in contacting them. We have not been disappointed. Our initial visit to the showroom we were met by staff who were all extremely courteous & attentive, we explained what we wanted & were given constructive ideas . We decided to go ahead with the project which has now been completed.
The team allocated to our project have worked so well together, arriving every day on time with a friendly smile, they have worked extremely hard and each evening have left the site neat and tidy, and we were told who to expect and what job was going to be completed next.
It was a pleasure to have the team work for us and each member of the team were experts in their trade.
We would recommend Barras Home Improvements to anyone considering home improvements

I would highly recommend Barras!
They were professional and friendly from start to finish and made every step easily navigable.
Any issues or hiccups were dealt with promptly and resolved to our complete satisfaction. They took the stress out of having to deal with the unforeseen, which was worth its weight in gold, and managed the schedule impeccably.
I will definitely be using them for my future projects!
