Antonio at Waterloo very helpful and skilled with old hub change bikes having resurrected two for me from going to the scrap bin , 1957 triumph and at 1980’s Dawes . Proper mechanic and kind explanation rather than exasperation with an elderly luddite !

Great introduction to the world of electric bikes. Knowledgeable and very pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Went into the Waterloo shop initially, Alex was extremely helpful. He advised me of the correct size and answered my questions.

A few days later I decided to buy online as it was most convenient in the end. Smooth process and delivery. Very happy with bike and would highly recommend the shop.

Really helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great flexibility on the Cycle2Work scheme so I could get the right bike and not be limited by an absolute cutoff at £2k

Not the greatest service not from the Waterloo staff but the website took my money and order of an Brompton olive bag , told me it was in then when I arrived it was a stick mistake and there was no bag. Got the bag about 10 days later .

What I will say say is a week later I visited Balfes at mate street :( :( :(

Awful servic! came in for some help and I felt like I was putting the staff out.
Bought a Brompton from Balfes mare street last year.

Came back for help regarding saddle insert and was palmed off.

Ending up spending £450 at condor the next day because they helped me without hesitation for something small u like Balfes.

Very disappointing

A great combination of real shops and online shopping.

The staff are always really helpful and friendly.

If you click & collect Balfe staff always make sure you leave with the right size, even if you've ordered the wrong one - they will speedily get in the next one up/down.

Great staff and customer service. Super knowledgeable and always extremely helpful.

I've not even got my bike back - I dropped it in last Wednesday for a simple pre-booked service, it hasn't even been looked at yet and its EOP Monday Ive been told it 'might' be ready tomorrow. I had to call (they hadn't called me to apologise about the delay) and the guy I spoke to didn't even know if they had my bike in their possession. I understand that its busy but there doesn't seem to be any kind of system. Had I known it would take a week, I wouldn't have booked it in.

I've only used Balfe's a couple of times for workshop (mainly because the nearest shop is some distance away) repairs, but they've been brilliant. I mainly use them to buy stuff - bikes, accessories, etc. - and they are brilliant

Good service completed to a high standard

I’ve had experiences with most of the different Balfe’s Bikes and the folks at Waterloo stand tall amongst the rest.

I used a cycle to work vouchers in part to upgrade my gravel bike and the lad who helped did an incredible job.

I’m a relative novice in terms of parts and quality, but I said what I did and didn’t like and he put together an incredible upgrade.

I went back to get my bike with no problems, as the gears settled, they started make a crunching sound, popped in and they sorted it with no quibble.

Cannot recommend them enough!
