I notice the packaging was more securely packaged to prevent accidental shipping damage. It also came with additional aids for testing and spraying. The customer service is always impeccable & the paint comes ready to use. No thinning needed. I'm a novice car painter but it looked 10 times better than when I started.

Buyer Beware — Wrong Color Match and They Hid Behind the 30-Day Policy

I purchased factory-matched automotive paint from AutomotiveTouchup.com for my 2026 Ford Explorer in Vapor Blue, expecting the color to match the factory paint as advertised.

It did not match.

I didn’t discover the problem until after their 30-day window because this was a project I purchased the materials for in advance. When I contacted AutomotiveTouchup and showed them the color-match problem, instead of standing behind the product or even offering to remix the paint, they refused to help because more than 30 days had passed.

That’s the part I find unacceptable.

This isn’t a case of me changing my mind about a product. I ordered paint specifically mixed to match my vehicle, and the paint I received did not properly match the factory color. A custom-mixed automotive paint may sit on someone’s shelf for weeks or months before a project is actually started. A 30-day deadline doesn’t change whether the paint was mixed correctly in the first place.

I spent considerable time preparing, priming, painting and clearing my part, only to discover that the color was noticeably wrong. Now I have to sand it back down and redo the job, buy replacement materials, and spend additional time correcting it.

What makes this especially disappointing is that their website advertises a color-match guarantee. Apparently, once 30 days have passed, the accuracy of the paint they mixed becomes the customer’s problem.

I wasn’t asking them to pay for my labor or the other materials I wasted. I simply expected them to stand behind the paint they mixed and provide a correctly matched replacement.

They refused.

My advice: If you buy paint from AutomotiveTouchup.com, spray a test panel immediately when the order arrives and compare it carefully to your vehicle—even if you aren’t planning to use the paint for months. Do not assume that because you supplied the correct factory color information, the paint in the can will actually match.

Based on the product I received and, more importantly, how the company handled the problem when I brought it to their attention, I would not purchase from AutomotiveTouchup.com again.

Horrible, I bought the pen thinking it would be easy. The paint would run out the bottom and drip and ruin the siding of my truck. Had I known I would have covered the vehicle. Also after applying primer, when I went to use paint pen, it would mix with primer. Not to mention the color didn’t match. Almost a black instead of silver metallic gray. I ruined my truck and now trying to find a matching spray paint to cover up what I purchased from them

Paint match correct, 2k Clearcoat works great. However the instructions on the 2K Clearcoat can did not match the type of can sent. Most cans have a red cap to place on the activator and push it in. This can had the yellow cap and ring that needed to be pulled to activate. Product is fine but need to add instruction video for 2K can activation. Otherwise great product.

Horrible-
I usually have used Era paints for touchup and they match perfect. They didn’t have a particular Mercedes color I needed- so did automotive touch up. After spraying the base color- right away turned into a disaster. The grey and specs of dark flecks in it that spattered out and destroyed the base- and then the flakes are much larger than the Mercedes grey metallic- so in the sunlight, didn’t match with a blend at all. Then the 2K clear they sent, never setup right even after pushing in bottom button on can and when I reached out, they haven’t responded with a solution (except I have to buy more clear according to the one email response I got). I want a 100% refund and have to redo the entire project and a huge undertaking to do. You can’t get a phone number to answer and I this has been just awful. Look elsewhere- so many other good paint suppliers-

I purchased in January (order 13470102) but could not apply till May bceause of the winter weather (past their 30 days warranty). Now I see that the color is not a match, it is darker than my car color. what a waste of $44

If you order from this company make sure you check/use the paint within 30 days. I ordered code 780, alabaster white. They sent me the totally wrong color, maroon looking and I am SOL since I missed the 30 day window.

I can't make a purchase since it won't allow me to substitute the grey with the white. There is no order number, yet, and if I can't replace it, then I'll just have to find an alternative to this. That is my end result with dealing with this company since the rep doesn't want to understand that I'm trying to place a new order, and kept closing the case after each message, thus making it seem like she didn't even care about the customer trying to make a new purchase.

I own a Lexus GS 350 , white , metalic. I have few scratches that I want to fix it I order a kit matching my car color and I received the wrong color .Consequently , I have to got to shop to cover the damage from the color send to me by Automotive Touch up. Very unpleased with the move Company .

I am writing this review as a severe warning to potential consumers. Micro Finish LLC (operating as Automotive Touchup) has engaged in what I consider to be unjust enrichment and bad-faith customer service regarding a transaction from August 11, 2025 (Charge: $66.08).

The items were never successfully delivered and were fully returned to their warehouse facility. I hold irrefutable carrier tracking proof confirming delivery back to their possession. I contacted customer support via telephone, and their staff explicitly confirmed that a full refund would be issued. It never was. For nearly nine months, I have sent multiple follow up emails. The company has systematically ignored my written correspondence, successfully stalling the process until my bank's standard credit card dispute window.

Do not assume that because the bank dispute window has passed, you are legally clear. I have officially issued a formal 5-Day Final Demand for Payment to your support inbox.

If my $66.08 is not credited back to my account immediately, this entire documented paper trail, including time stamped tracking logs and ignored email will be submitted directly to regulatory authorities for fraudulent billing practices. Check your ticketing system for my final demand notice. Issue the refund immediately.

Excellent job of matching 25 year old weathered paint! This is my third vehicle to use automotive touch-up paint.

It has been 13 days since i placed the order and no item has been deliver. Definitely not using this company anymore
