Good friendly team at ATS very helpful and work carried out in agreed timescales . Have used ATS Chard lots of times for varied different maintenance jobs with all my family cars , again I return my business to them as easy to talk to and respect thier honest opinion . Keep up the great service you and your team deliver.

CONSTRUCTIVE

I have had an “interesting” interaction here today. I took my car for a service and MOT. When I got there a rude and abrupt man told me it was booked for the MOT first and this could not be changed ( there was only one other car in the garage) no negotiation to attempts to try! Because of his attitude I said I wouldn’t have the service but would continue with the MOT. I offered him the paper work from a full digital vehicle health check from the day before (at a different ATS that unfortunately couldn’t do MOTs but was great ) but he said he wasn’t interested. It failed ! There was a clean cut on the outside rim of one of the tyres. I found this strange as I had the brake pads and discs done the day before and paper work to say that all the tyres were perfectly fine ( I will leave you all to draw your own conclusions !) When I collected the car ( still only one other car in the garage ) and questioned this … the guy said presumably it had happened on the drive to the garage, which I found most strange. All three staff members were in the office and the atmosphere was unpleasant. I will not be using this garage again and suggest others find one with better reviews that can be trusted.
Update 16.1. 25 The car passed its MOT at another garage .. the mechanics spent ages looking for “ cut tyre” … none to be seen. Complaint lodged with ATS

I think the staff are really top notch….polite and efficiant,bothering to explain the technical side of their work to me! The young man ,Sam,who actually did the work on my electronic tyre valve seemed very profesional and explained all the options and possible solutions to me.He worked quickly and the job was soon completed at a reasonable cost!The manager was obviously extremely competent and although extremely busy,remained calm and polite to a number of cusomers while i was waiting

Super obliging. Fitted in an urgent exhaust replacement at a very busy time. Very polite and cheerful. Great service.
(On the down side - the customer toilet was filthy.)

Very efficient, quick and polite

I have had to use this garage for my work vehicle twice, both times the guy in charge was rude and arrogant. Been told I have to wait 5 hours for a service as they only have 1 ramp, even though it was booked in at 0830. 'MOTs take priority apparently'. Please, take your car somewhere else

Prompt professional and helpful

I highly recommend this car garage , I was in today to change a tyre on my car , we didn't have a wheel lock key but they handled it without a problem . Very friendly staff , very helpful ! I will definitely come back !

Twice ive used Ats chard and both times the tyre fitter was rude and obnoxious.
1st time i was sent away because they got the time wrong and when i returned at the agreed slot they kept me waiting for 15mins, then no offer to balance the wheels, but there was no cars in the garage. 2nd visit was for wheel alignment.
Told me off for having wrong tyres, told me off for having perished tyres (which I got 2nd opinion elsewhere, was told they were not perished) he reluctantly did 4 wheel alignment for me to find out few weeks later driving the motorway, front 2 wheels were not aligned as at 70mph I experience shaking on steering.
Before my tyres were changed at ATS there was never any shaking of steering.
The attitude of the tyre fitter is appalling. Wish I got his name.
Oh and he gave me someone else's receipt aswell as my own.

Booked car in for MOT. Carried out quickly and efficiently.

I can’t fault the service I received. They let me know what they were doing and gave me a solution when they didn’t have the tyres they quoted me for but gave me a choice of what they had. I found the people I saw were very polite and helpful. Will definitely recommend

Easy to park friendly cheerful helpful staff
