We loved our ID.BUZZ eCamper... admittedly, the camper is best suited for nice weather, which fortunately was mostly the case for us! Charging the vehicle was never a problem, in Norway (Senja, Vesterålen, Lofoten, where we were) there are enough options everywhere and Arctic Campers gave us the most important apps and helpful tips in advance! The organization at Arctic Campers (reservation, vehicle handover, billing, etc.) was perfect and all contacts were very friendly and helpful :-)

It all started with a well arranged pick up from the airport. Good instruction, well prepared camper. Nice friendly staff. No problems occured while travelling. Deposit was credited within 2 weeks. We highly recommend Arctic Campers.

Well positioned near the airport with pick up service. The Motorhome was ok and worthy for family trip with no luxury but enough to have a lot of fun.
The instructions and tips they give us were highly appreciated.
In our case they sorted out the issue that we had in a flawless way. We will repeat for sure.

The staff was amazing and super supportive with whatever we needed and friendly. The van, we rented the road master Norway edition, was more then we expected! With plenty of room up front and comfortable seats for long drives, plenty of storage for food and clothes, plenty of lighting and charger ports, the fridge fit plenty of food and drinks, hot water for the sinks and shower, easy to read electronic gauges for water and electricity levels, toilet is easy to dump and clean and while in the mountains where it below 0° it still kept us warm. We drove from Oslo to the Atlantic Road and then down to Bergen and back over to Oslo in 9 days. Only had to refuel 2 times for about 300 us$ which was what we expected. If you are uncomfortable driving a large van they have smaller options that looked equally as amazing. I don't think you could find a better way to fully enjoy and embrace Norways outdoors.

We had a really good trip in the Norway Master Automatic. 10 days, 2000 km through Lofoten area with a little baby on board.

Can really recommend to pick a good car with heating and good space, if it's a longer trip - you won't regret it!

Arctic Campers was also super supportive on phone and mail, when we had questions about the car during the trip.

Rented an iD buzz campervan in early March from the Tromsø location. Overall we had a wonderful experience with Arctic Campers. The staff was very helpful in giving recommendations, including on how to avoid road closures due to NATO exercises going on in the area. We drove from Tromsø to Lofoten and back and were able to find EV charging easily. The deposit refund came within a few weeks without issue. Highly recommended!

It has been such a well thought build, the storage is AMAZING, we love the kitchen both indoor and out and the outdoor pantry is really handy! The bathroom is awesome, outdoor shower is great! Everything is so easy to use and the Projecta management system has been really handy and makes it really simple to keep on top of your solar input, battery output, light controls and water levels! We are loving our little home away from home! Thankyou Arctic Campers

Staff were amazing at check-in/ out, and the van was great. Well kept and everything was clean. Thank you! Can't wait to come again in summer.

Nous avons loué un fourgon pour 2 semaines en Aout 2023. Nous avons eu un Renault Trafic long en trés bon état. L'aménagement intérieur était simple mais très fonctionnel et suffisant.
Ils sont venus nous chercher à l'aéroport.
Ils nous ont demander de rendre le véhicule propre à l'intérieur.
A la fin de notre séjour nous avons rendu le véhicule propre à l'intérieur; ils nous ont ramené à l'aéroport.
10 jours après on recupèrait la totalité de la caution.
C'est donc réglo et sérieux, y'a rien à dire. On recommande.

The camper was great, and the staff in Oslo were very friendly. However, I would never book a camper with this company again. When we returned our camper with a scratch on August 26, we were promised that the damage would be assessed within 10 days, and our deposit (whatever was left of it) would be refunded. Unfortunately, this was a blatant lie. Today is November 4, 2023, and I still have not received my deposit. Apparently, the vehicle broke down (information received in September) and needed to be repaired before it could be taken to the body shop to assess the damage. There was a long period of silence until I inquired via email about the whereabouts of the money. This back-and-forth communication continued for a while. As of today, they still cannot tell me when the money will finally reach me.

In conclusion:
Rent a camper from there, but be extremely cautious not to cause any damage. Otherwise, you have to wait a long time for your deposit of 11,000 NOK, which is very unfortunate, considering how friendly and personable the staff and the company seemed to be.

Rented a Norway Camper Automatic for my trip in Norway from Oslo to Tromso for 14 days. It was an awesome trip I enjoyed the journey and experience in Norway. Thanks to the friendly staff who is very helpful and gave us advice and information to which route we can take. I recommend to rent from them if you plan to experience Norway.
Their vehicle clean and never give a single problem throughout my trip. I have a wonderful time! Thank you! :)

Travelled around Lofoten from Tromso for a week in a Fiat Ducato campervan. Well equipped van, friendly and helpful staff at the rental station. Had two unfortunate issues with the van including a flat tyre that were sorted incredibly quickly via the roadside assistance provided and we were back on our way.

Will definitely be planning another trip with Arctic Campers - northern lights next : )

Deposit is debited - almost 100€ money loss due to inflation

The refund of our deposit was impossible. At first we were completely forgotten in the system - after a few emails the refund was delayed, but almost 100€ were missing, although we had not caused a single scratch on the vehicle.
The reason is, instead of blocking the deposit via Footprint like all other car rental companies, the deposit was debited completely from our account.
The economic situation at the time was already marked by strong inflation, which is why we ended up losing almost 100€ through this debit action due to fluctuating exchange rates. Of course, the delayed refund from Arctic Campers didn't help with the whole thing either.

Either way, this is NOT the definition of a deposit!

Our (factual) email about this was answered in a more than unfriendly manner and we have not received our promised list of toll and ferry fees to date. This has never happened to us in any country in the world before.

On our Google review (July 2023) they commented that they will review our case, if we send them another email - we did send this email and never got a response again. Conclusion: Never again with this company!

The service person at the Oslo station was great. The van worked well except for a couple of things. I don't think that they service the camping needs, well. The fridge had a god-awful smell come from it, every time we opened it. Something kind of animal food was left in there to rot (best guess-maybe lutefisk!!). Also the big burner on the gas stove operated sporadically. The ignitor was defunct and we were given a 'sparker' which was fine but the burner would not stay on most of the time (needed to keep the button pushed in - thermocouple?/sensor needs replacing. Most aggravating! The fold down table bracing into the floor was broken. They tried to put longer screws in but since the shorter ones were pulled out of the plywood, the new ones pulled out the first time we used it. Just kept it down for the bed the whole time. Even sent an email to let them know our concerns but never received a response. Check out these issues if you get van with license #CX11583 to see if they have dealt with them.

We had a great experience with Arctic Campers!! We had a comfort camper for a road trip around Lofoten for a week and the van was everything we could have wanted. The fridge was a godsend and the stoves worked super well. The bed was also surprisingly spacious.

The staff were also super helpful and friendly. I left my wallet in the van by mistake and one of the guys (Simon) was nice enough to bring it to our hotel in Tromso!

I recently rented a camper van from this rental agency for a sightseeing trip in Norway. While the van itself worked well and allowed us to enjoy a wonderful trip, the customer service experience was abysmal.

We unfortunately had a minor accident during the trip, which resulted in some damage to the van. Despite the damage being minimal, the rental agency refused to return any portion of the deposit fee, which was already extremely high. It took months of persistent follow-up on our end to even receive any status updates on our deposit, which was far longer than the agency had initially promised.

When we finally received an update, we were shocked to learn that none of our deposit would be returned. The rental agency provided zero documentation to support the exorbitant cost of the repairs, leaving us feeling cheated and taken advantage of.

Overall, while the camper van rental itself was fine, I would not recommend this company due to their dishonest and unethical business practices. Their lack of transparency and poor customer service left a sour taste in our mouths and made our otherwise enjoyable trip much more stressful than it needed to be.

I was contacted after posting this - the company had sent my deposit to the wrong card and did not inform me. I was very worried because in their website FAQ it specifically says the payment will be refunded back to the card used to make the deposit payment. Therefore this issue is now a communication issue, as the people did not respond to my 3 emails within 17 days. from 1 star to 3 star.

LEAVING ORGINIAL BELOW:

ArcticCampers says your deposit is only supposed to be held for 10 full days after the successful return of the vehicle. My 1000 euro deposit has been with them since October 23, 2022, and it is now November 22, 2022. I have sent numerous emails, called staff, Facebook, Instagram, everything - no response! Be wary when you give them money for the deposit, I still hope to get mine, still contacting!
