Worst service interaction i have ever had.
My interaction with this company was the single worst experience i have ever had in hiring a company for service. I had a 2 year old Samsung dishwasher that was not moving from the washing cycle to the drying cycle. Technician was at my house for all of 15 minutes before telling me that it was the main motor in the dishwasher that was the problem. Rather than wasting the money i had spent to have them come for the service call, i agreed to the repair.
After 4 weeks of waiting, the technician returned, installed (i believe) the new motor and told me all would be fine. He did not reinstall any of the clips that hold the dishwasher in place or the kick plate, and the dishwasher was badly out of balance. Needless to say that it was in even worse shape than before the "repair", as it would now error out within 90 seconds of starting any cycle.
I called for a return visit, which took more than a month due to their continued (3 times) cancellation of appointments that were booked. When the tech finally did return, he claimed that another part was the problem, but did not offer me a price or the choice to fix the dishwasher.
In total, my interaction with A1 Appliance Repair Team took more than 9 weeks, and i am out $900 and still dont have a working dishwasher.
STAY AWAY from this company.
Do not hire this company
Do not hire this company. We called them to fix our ice maker and stop the fridge from icing up inside. The tech came and charged us over 900 for the job. The ice maker was replaced but the fridge never stopped icing up. Over a month of calling later, the fridge is still icing. He was late for every appointment (that he actually showed up for), in addition to just not coming a few times and not telling us he was cancelling. I have been on the phone over a dozen times trying to resolve this but am always told that the only person who can do anything is the same unreliable tech.

Completely dishonest outfit. They have removed their business address from google maps so people cant complain there. They obviously just do not care

Warning: The A Team Appliance Repair (Appliance Repair Team) scammed me on LG washer repair – unchanged error code + took original motor
I made the mistake of calling The A Team Appliance Repair after seeing them high up in Google results for my LG washing machine error. They quoted an $80 service fee that would be waived if I let them fix it.
Technician came, said it needed a new motor. I paid $859.49 by debit as partial payment. Within one hour I called to cancel because the machine is still under 10-year warranty and it made more sense to replace it or use authorized service. They said “too late – part already ordered” and threatened 15% restocking fee + $30 shipping + $290 labour. They offered a 10% discount, which I accepted under pressure.
Part arrived 6 days later. Second tech (Anush) was 3 hours late, installed the motor, said he tested it, and left the machine in “working condition”. I paid the remaining $180.82.
Immediately after he left, I ran a load and got the exact same error code. Nothing was fixed. The diagnosis was completely wrong – the motor wasn’t the issue.
They also took the original motor away and never returned it or provided any documentation.
I’ve now exchanged multiple emails demanding a full refund of $1,040.31. They refuse, keep pushing another “warranty visit,” and hide behind their terms. The invoices even claim the appliance was tested and demonstrated as working – clearly false.
This company has hundreds of similar complaints (over 750 on BBB with an F rating), is on Ontario’s Consumer Beware List, and faces multiple charges against the business and director for misleading practices and refund issues.
Do not use them. Research first, avoid Google ads for appliance repair in the GTA, and go straight to manufacturer authorized service or a reputable local tech.
I’ve filed with Consumer Protection Ontario. Lesson learned the hard way.

Buyer BEWARE - A Team Appliance Repair is a SCAM!
Buyer BEWARE! This is a completely dishonest and fraudulent company that is masquerading as appliance repair technicians. Their approach is always the same (found this out AFTER becoming yet another one of their victims and losing almost $300 for less than 10 minutes of shoddy "service".) Their website states that they provide fair pricing upon arrival. But in actual fact they use their service fee of $85 plus tax simply to gain access to your home. They then demand a labour fee of $250 plus tax upfront before looking at the appliance -- payable only by cash or debit. The technician was rude, aggressive and rough. He aggressively and quickly rushed me to sign the document, which I realized afterwards indicated that I would pay the labour fee after the work, but he forced me to do it before he'd even taken a look at the dishwasher. He then said that this would cover any additional visits or labour other than parts. After less than 10 minutes during which he pulled out the dishwasher and left a piece of it hanging out, dirt on the floor, etc., he quoted the part that was needed at $489!!! All that was needed was a spring on the door. We found it later online for $16! When I asked him to wait until my husband returned in 5 minutes, he grabbed his backpack and bolted for the front door, leaving it wide open. That is when I knew I had been scammed by this shoddy guy. He also arrived in an old car with no company name on it, no ID, no technician license.... All of these things should have been red flags but I trusted that he was legit. Once he got his foot in the door, I was then a victim of this scam operation. They are repeating this "practice" over and over, according to Reddit, Facebook, and a CTV news story on this company in February 2026. They need to be stopped before more and more victims fall prey to their scams.
The rudest repair man ever
The rudest repair man ever. Arrived, barely investigated and told us we needed to order a part and that he would come back to install. It was WAY over priced for the needed part, but we paid partially, so we were on the hook and he knew it. Came back a week later and he was even ruder the second time. He tried to leave before the work was even done, then he was accusatory and argumentative. Ridiculous.

I was charged 600$ as a DEPOSIT, in order for a part to fix my washing machine.. after awaiting 2 months and countless trips to the laundromat, I eventually just bought a whole new washing machine as that seemed cheaper less stressful. Customer services or whatever you want to call it was DISGUSTING. "managers" or any other team is never able to answer the the phone. and 3 months later when they agreed to give me 127$ back along with the part they took from my machine.. IT WAS THE WRONG PART, my machine was maytag this part belonged to a whirlpool machine. HORRIBLE. these are definitely scammers, BEWARE
Zero is the best score for this…
Zero is the best score for this company. They came to service my oven on Feb 16. It’s April 5 and it’s still broken. They charged me $200 and then another $500 when the repair was completed. Well - the repair was completed and my oven worked for about a week and it’s been broken since. They’ve been back 5 times and have done nothing. No ETA on parts even though they say 2-5 bus day. Finally it’ll be ready April 10. So we’ll see. But I’m $700 in and they don’t give money back so I have to deal with these morons.
Stay away. Waste of time and money
Don’t waste your time and money. Needed a repair on our oven. 4 appointments and $900 later we had to buy a new one. They installed 2 different parts and our oven was still not working properly. When I asked them to take their parts back and give us a refund given it wasn’t fixed. they would not do that as they do it uninstall parts but the parts are covered under warranty. What good is a warranty on parts when the oven does not work. I also went to write a review on their website but there is no option to actually do that. And all they have are 5 star reviews, but you can’t actually leave a review. Very fishy. Stay away. These people are crooks.

What should have been a straightforward dishwasher repair turned into FOUR separate service visits over nearly a month — and the issue is still not properly resolved. Each visit came with a different explanation, and now I’m being told I need to pay over $800 more for a part that somehow wasn’t identified the first time.
At what point does this stop being “unexpected issues” and start being a clear lack of proper diagnosis and expertise?
I relied on their professional assessment from day one. Instead, this has been a cycle of incomplete fixes, wasted time, and zero accountability. Offering a small discount after weeks of inconvenience and repeated misdiagnosis doesn’t fix the core issue — it just reinforces it.
Consumers shouldn’t be expected to absorb the cost of poor service. Four visits. One month. Still not fixed. And now an additional bill? No.
I’ll be escalating this further and sharing this experience so others know what to expect. If you’re considering using this company, proceed with caution.
SCAM. Charged for a cancelled visit!!!
Called this company and booked a service call at 8:30 PM at 9 o’clock pm on April 2. I called back to cancel after reading all the negative reviews. I also texted the phone number to cancel the appointment .
I was told that the service man would call before arriving - there was no call. He arrived at 1 o’clock and said he didn’t know about any cancellation. I called the office in front of him who acknowledged I had left a voicemail message to cancel, but their complaint was that I didn’t call again in the morning to cancel again. I asked him to leave and he left leaving a bill of 90+ dollars which will not be paid call the office back and they threatened to go to Small Claims Court for it. Look forward to it.!!! Ps the discussion with the repairman and my call to the office in front of him speaking to the receptionist who acknowledged they heard my cancellation message is all recorded on my Ring Camera.

Completely fraudulent service ..
Completely fraudulent service ... my fault for believing in Google sponsored ads but want to share so others do not fall into the same trap.
First warning sign was how evasive they were about providing a range of prices upfront.
Second sign was the technician basically looked at the microwave and decided right there that it would cost XXX amount for the onsite call.
Third sign was then making an unintelligible call to the office and then said it had to be send to the office for further repair for an additional XXX amount.
The final cost was an exorbitant amount for a microwave repair ... would have been cheaper to purchase a new one. Gave me a bogus excuse as to why new parts and fuses are needed when it is just a door latch problem.
Found out afterwards this company is under investigation. This is on me and hope no one else will be scammed by them.
Overcharge/scam elderly, know nothing of repairing
My 85 year old mother , had an appliance repair service (The A Team appliance Repair) come to diagnose/repair and GE fridge. On the phone advised $80 service call fee. Charged her $280, and wanted to charge $800 for more parts to repair something ( for a fridge not worth $1000).
And also left her fridge in the middle of the kitchen.
This company needs to be prosecuted and charged with fraud.
Ps. And owe my mother $200.

Horrible. Was told that visit was $80. Repair technician charged $293 for one hour "labour" where he only diagnosed a problem that would cost me almost as much as I paid for my stove--$1200+. I sent him on his way--$293 poorer. Posting this as a warning--a bait and switch.

I wouldn’t even give 1 star to these crooksters. Their tech guy was a dumb fellow. He didn’t know anything about the oven, neither they are authorized to deal with it. Yet charged me 315 cad and said replacement will cost 3700.
I got it checked with another agency, they fixed it for 200 cad. This agency is a lie. Don’t fall prey to it.
