Love their clothing. But making a return is a nightmare. No clear guidance as to how. Their automated replies to your emails are frustrating. Pointing you to the same useless information for returns. Then when eventually when you decipher that and contact them numerous times for your refund and proving your postage and assurances that your refund has been issued I am still waiting for the funds 10 days later. Shocking returns policy

Farce of a company
Made an order, their couriers lost it then they stopped corresponding when I asked for a refund. Trading Standards have been notified.

The store staff were so helpful and friendly.

Absolutely awful experience. Similar to numerous reviews on here . I was not refunded for one of the items from my order which I returned using the QR code sent to me by the company. I chased this with numerous E mails over several weeks. The company are saying they did not receive the return. Poor customer service. I would definitely never buy from the company again.

The price was very good, as the quality of the product, and the customer operative Luca was very kind, professional and informative, it was really a pleasant experience.

I have had 3 pairs of Animal flipflips over the past 10 years or so, because they are so comfy and durable. However the latest pair purchased maybe 3 years ago have completely deteriorated in the footbed and I have just had to throw them away. The older ones are still going strong. The difference is that the latest pair have a printed footbed - and it's the top layer with the design that has worn away leaving rolls of rubber curling up around the patches where the design and top layer has worn off. This is no good! I cannot recommend any flipflop with a design on the footbed. Black undersole only!

I bought 2 pairs of flip flops because the husband suggested Animal. I had a pair years ago but had forgotten just how comfy they are until the new ones arrived. Now every time I wear them I say ‘I feel like crying’ because they are just so so comfy! Crying with happiness and have just bought a 3rd pair

Already reported this issue to customer service no communication regarding this over payment shopped at the Tenby Store SA707AJ on 22-07-2026 was charged twice for the same item have had no reimbursement for overcharging only a thank you for shopping at the store I can see why they are thanking customers they are profiteering on maybe all customers. Cough up.

Have been wearing Animal since a teenager and still love the brand, comfy, well made and good designs, always a nice good smooth process whether in store or online! Shout out to the Cromer team, had a power cut just as we were paying but held them to one side until the power eventually came back in the area, thanks!

It used to be my favorite clothing brand when I lived in Poole between 2008 and 2013. Looking at it today, it's honestly sad to see how much it has changed.

Prices have increased significantly over the years.
Materials have shifted from quality cotton to cheaper, more plastic-like fabrics, despite the marketing about "recycled" and "sustainable" materials.
Design has suffered the most. The clothes used to have personality: bold logos, distinctive two-tone branding, bright colors, and unique details. You could recognize one of their hoodies instantly, even without seeing the brand name. Today, most of the collection looks incredibly plain, generic, and uninspired—more like budget H&M or Primark than the brand it once was.

Even now, when I browse their website during 60% off summer sales, I struggle to find a single item I'd actually want to buy. That's something I never would have imagined back then.

The quality has also declined dramatically. I still own a T-shirt I bought in 2010, and I wear it as a pajama. Despite years of use, the fabric, fit, and colors have held up remarkably well. The only damage is from years of wear—holes and stains from using it so much! In contrast, I bought a few T-shirts in 2025 out of nostalgia, and they were already in poor condition after a short time. The difference in quality is striking. Now, organic cotton can be found, but the fabric deforms and loses color easily.

It's genuinely disappointing to see how far the brand has fallen from what it used to be.

PS: when you see their answer underneath my review, you can clearly feel that they don’t care at all, didn’t buy item but they said "thanks for choosing our shop" . . . As I said, they have lost quality in any way possible!

I’m have had numerous articles of clothing from animal over the years, they have generally been well made and good quality. In the last year I have bought a pair of shorts and a hoodie. The quality has clearly been lost and I won’t entertain them as a brand again.
The hoodie formed holes near the front pocket within weeks having been washed once. The stitching and material were poor quality. As I got the item discounted I put this down to experience and didn’t bother contacting them.

The shorts have been worn about 10 times since last year, I put them on yesterday and within minutes they had split across the front from the leg to the belt.

I will not be buying this brand again, the quality is not good enough for the price. I have Mountain warehouse shorts that are 10 years old and better quality.

Brighton shop was really nice, we hadn't really taken much notice of it before and were really impressed with the selection and quality of the clothes and bags.
Staff were lovely, especially Caroline who was really friendly and helpful.

Good customer service. Sent a few things back from an order, had a query, emailed and had a response within a day even though it’s the weekend. I don’t think I had a return confirmation email which would be useful.
