We have just returned from a fabulous second visit to Emerald Faarufushi and Spa, organised by Angelfish Travel.

We are repeat guests to the island and clients of Angelfish. They are very knowledgeable, patient and friendly, know the Maldives islands well, and we felt completely confident booking with them. We have already booked our 2027 holiday with them also.

This year, Clare also proactively booked us alternative direct flights at no extra cost, as she was able to see a seat sale. This was much more suitable for us as we did not want to go via Dubai and had not tried direct, but it all worked well and actually worked out cheaper in the end which was great!

Throughout the booking process, from last year until we departed in September, I was able to contact Angelfish with any queries, special requests and questions. All of my emails were answered promptly, and followed up with a friendly call where needed.

Would highly recommend the expertise of the Angelfish Travel advisors. We were overwhelmed by the Maldives choices, so gave Liz our budget and deal breakers! She came up with 3 great choices. We discussed flight options too & Angelfish immediately responded when I had reservations about Middle East transit. They responded to any communication quickly, worked tirelessly for our benefit and changed our flights when needed. We knew we were in safe hands.

When we decided to go to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, I contacted Angelfish Travel as they were recommended to me. They were so helpful in advising us of which island would be most suited to what we wanted, they gave us a choice of 4 and we settle on Dusit Thani. We knew which hotel we wanted to stay at in Sri Lanka the Shangri La's Hambantota Resort so they put together a wonderful holiday which gave us a week in each. Every last detail was covered and the whole holiday was so stress free thanks to Liz at Angelfish.
Hambantota was a lovely place, my husband enjoyed the golf immensely whilst I enjoyed relaxing around the quieter adults only pool. Staff were very attentive and the nature around the resort was fantastic, including monkeys , peacocks and exotic birds.
Dusit Thani island did not disappoint it is definitely 5* the staff are so attentive, the villas are luxurious and so well equipped.
Snorkeling was a highlight for us, the sea was crystal clear and the reef was accessible right outside our villa.
Food and Drink here is top quality, and the chefs are happy to prepare anything you would like. A special mention to Ahmed in the Market restaurant who always went above and beyond to look after us.
A special mention to Anas our butler, who was always on hand to make dinner reservations or supply us with different pillows. He even organised breakfast in our room on our departure day as we left early.
I honestly could not fault this island and we will be going back and we will be using Angelfish Travel again.

The team at Angelfish offer a very personal service. Their knowledge for the areas is so detailed - even down to which villa number you need to book. They can tailor make any itinerary and have physically stayed at over 120 of the resorts so you know you can trust their judgement. We visited 2 islands on our trip - Anantara Kihavah and Milaidhoo, both were fabulous but Milaidhoo came out on top for me and I would never have know about this island without speaking to Jo. I highly recommend their service and their prices are keen.

We both agreed we had an even better time on our second visit to Emerald Faarufushi and there will most definitely be a third, hopefully later or early next year. The island is just a perfect balance of what we love about the Maldives and have visited a couple of other islands and this is just the best all round for us!

Diving was fantastic again, so much so we did 14 dives each in 12 days! The corals are great and so much fish life, sadly no Mantas but lots of Eagle Rays, turtles, sharks and so much more, and all lead brilliantly by Vlad and the team at the dive centre, we cant wait to return and blow some more bubbles and do that scooter course hopefully!

The restaurants are just superb with great choice of food and drink to suit every palette, there are too many staff there that all give fabulous service so thanks to all of them, but our villa host Elite was again superb and dealt with every request in seconds!

Mario the head chef again superb and made us some special Italian food on a few occasions, some of the best we have eaten, he has a true passion for his role, as does Joseph the head sommelier, watch out or he will have you glass filled before you know it and with some really quality wines!!

The room guys as well top class, could ask for more, keeping our fridge stocked with alcohol free beer as well was a special gesture!

All in all you cant beat this fabulous island, it is simply paradise and we cant wait to return very soon!!

Angelfish Travel have organised two holidays to the Maldives for us and both times I’ve been super impressed with them.
