Would never recommend. I gave them 3.5 years of my life and tens of thousands of dollars. I had about 28 written agreements with them, most for $5k, $10k, even $15k. I had promises and guarantees but no fulfillment. Royalties paid less than $2000. One example of a contract unfulfilled was for four audio books for $10,000, which I never got. I have many more examples. I think I had four project managers, one sick, two in and out of the hospital, and one who I believe was fired. Each new one started over again, emphasizing what I needed to purchase in order for my grandson to be successful. In the end, we tried settling after they didn't answer my attorney's letter of settlement. BTW I understand there are no employees at the Fillmore address in SF, so my attorney's letter was returned. They didn't respond to his email either. I was told before the Christmas holidays that we would settle, but the Chief of Operations asked if we could do it after the holidays. I agreed, but never heard from him again. He doesn't answer phone calls nor does he respond to emails. I'm certain my phone has been blocked. I've written and asked for all of the platforms for which I paid and have been ignored. If anyone has similar issues and has been successful with an attorney, I'd like to hear from them.

Huge SCAM !!!!! They are harassing in the worst ways, calls after calls, messages, voice mails . STAY AWAY FROM THEM !!! Stay awayyyy

I can't say enough how grateful I am to ABW. They created beautiful art for the cover, they are prompt to respond and are very professional. They have created a website for the book that really accentuates the book. Along with the SMCs and attention to details, they are above professional. The staff all around, graphics, editing, production, and all areas are excellent.

Last year, we hired this company to market our book. The website and the artwork was great. Unfortunately, that was all there was. We never had a way to monitor our sales nor did we receive the royalties we were promised, we paid for a trademark we never got, we never received the 50 books we were promised, and the company defaulted on a contract. After sharing this horror story with the FBI, they insisted that we complain to the Federal Trade Commission, and we did.

Absolutely the worst internet scam! Editing was juvenile at best. Always trying to upsell and coerce into more costs. Final straw was to say they were ready to print and ship the order but needed $450.00 for shipping and $250.00 in tax. They are coached to give vague answers to why these charges are anywhere in the realm of reason.

The quality of work was horrible. Copied and pasted a wordpress site - it was just junk. I bullet pointed changes - and they were never made. BESIDES that they are not from America! It's hard to understand them! I asked for a refund, no refund to date with promises a refund was made. I hired another company to do it right. The American Book Writing.com is a scary company - I am making a police report for no refund and scamming me. Their boss/marketing manager wanted to market my book - has so much potential because it's a crime book - first they said 5000.00 in their one-sided conversation wasn't allowed to even ask questions at the point he was rude...and finally at the end - changed their minds to $7000.00 for marketing! I'm only out a $199.00 website. BE CAREFUL...NO Refund to date. I am so glad I hired another company to do my website, but am still out money from this company.

I am great full to have discovered this book publishing company, it really help me. It what was you ask, well the most important publishing a book, I went through the process, and worked well with the team, especially, my good friend, Travis Denzel.

Despite some negative reviews, I'd say that it might not always be true, becasue of the experience I have, it was wonderful, adventurous, they made you feel comfortable.

I can't wait to one day work with them again, maybe in the near future, truly appreciate what they have done.

Also am going to be the youngest book publisher at only 15, once my book is publish.
