I had previously been told buy another company that a gas stove would not be possible in our new build home. . . I sought a second opinion.
Amberglow were fabulous from start to finish. They sent a no nonsense site survey guy out within a few days. Yes there were hurdles (stove in corner, electric socket needed making dead, gas pipe needed bringing from the opposite side of the house etc.) He had a “can do” attitude and a wealth of knowledge.

Fitting was within 4 weeks, and was done in a day and a half, including new gas pipe, balanced flue & re plastering, cut/shaped hearth stone, and aforementioned altering electrical socket) All was left clean and shiny and all rubbish and spoil removed from site. Both fitters were friendly and personable, and thoroughly professional.
This is my home, but as an ex property developer I can totally recommend Amberglow!

Although initially our experience with Amberglowfireplaces of Ellesmere Port was extremely good. The staff were knowledgeable and very attentive and helpful. We decided to go ahead and purchase the fire and surround with fitting and had the survey done. I was given a time but at the survey daughter was given a different time for fitting. With a no show I had to ring the office, daughter was given wrong information! After the fire was fitted it appeared to be a good job. And I paid the rest of the money. We noticed gaps between fire and the fire surround in two places, the fire had not been put in centered with a 4 half inch one side & 3 “ the other side, the sides of the surround did not meet the plinths correctly, the sides of of skirting board was removed to cut around plinth but placed back in two pieces, just to name a few problems! The company did inform me they would rectify problems& it wouldn’t be a big job, as we were concerned after having new carpet fitted. Small job it was not. The fire surround had to be removed from the room and the ‘ legs’ had to be grinded down outside, the sides of plinth had to be raised to meet the legs and the whole thing out back with a new piece of skirting board, took over 3 hrs to complete the job. I complained and asked for a 10% refund due to the distress to my daughter & grandson, the disruption of repeating fitting the fire and taking another day to put right. But I was refused. They placed coverings on the floor to protect carpet, but you don’t expect to have to go through all that on a brand new carpet. Would I recommend this company, unfortunately I wouldn’t. I would have expected them to offer some sort of reimbursement out of respect for the disruption, stress & the fact we now have to paint the new skirting board. All because they did shoddy work.

We had an old slate fireplace removed, a media wall built and a living gas flame fire insert created.

The quality of the workmanship is first class. The process couldn’t be faulted from start to finish. Even when alterations from our original plan had to be made, this was handled swiftly, efficiently and with no fuss. The company went above and beyond to ensure the work was completed for our family Christmas. Jack guided us to all the right products and explained the features in a very clear way, making the sales process easy.
Mike made sure the installation was to the highest standard and listened to exactly what we wanted and made it happen. The work we had done was well-worth every penny. There are other companies out there but you absolutely can’t go wrong with using Amberglow. Several of our friends have also used Amberglow and their experiences were outstanding which led us to use them. We promise you will not be disappointed. This is a company that truly puts customer satisfaction first. Thank you to the whole team.

I phoned today and asked if they could service a gas fire they installed in 2021.
The reply, Yes just let me transfer you to our service team, they answered immediately, no long wait and no foreign call centre.
The young Lady who answered the phone was Very Polite, Helpful and Friendly.
A booking was made there and then to have my fire serviced and the price communicated.
Exceptional customer service, and it only means one thing, when I want a new fire I will go back to Amberglow.

Great showroom close to M53 Cheshire Oaks junction. Staff very helpful and proved very informative. We had a home survey carried out and the fire was fitted shortly afterwards at a very sensible price. At my request we also had our chimney inspected. Overall, a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend Amberglow.

Definitely 5* company!!! Everything was dealt with professionally and also friendly attitude, no pressure to buy or rush into a decision. Simon and Graham were very helpful and Matt who fitted the fire was great. Having chosen one particular fire I was advised to think about a different type of fire due to the kind of flue in my house. I went back to the Runcorn shop and chose another fire and surround. Fitting on the day was slightly problematic due to the previous fire fitting (different company) but Matt was an absolute star and was able to solve the issue and fit my new fire and surround.

I am absolutely delighted with my new fire. Amberglow provided a top service. They took the time to listen and to understood what I was looking for. They suggested the perfect product, and the quote and ordering process was easy and simple. Installation was quick, tidy and professional.
My new fire looks great and although we've only had one fire so far (it is August 2025 when I'm typing this) we can already tell it will an excellent addition to our kitchen and provide plenty of heat for the room.

Company did exactly what was wanted, positive solutions to the existing installation, done on time and to quoted sum, they get on with the job and do not add on for 'hidden extras'

I called up to get a fire serviced by Amberglow and they refused to come out and even look at a Dru fire which was fitted by them. I was told to go and look at gas safe register as they did not want to repair or care about a fire which was fitted by them....Do Not Use this company go to somebody who has some integrity and after sales service. When I bought the fire from then I was told that they would come out and look after the fire for years to come....Do not trust these guys, don't be fooled all's they want is your money for the quick sale and wont keep to their sales after care obligations and promises.

Fantastic experience during our purchase of our fireplace with Amberglow. Terry made the whole purchase very easy and couldn’t have been more helpful. The fitters Matt and Jake were outstanding, left the place spotless, polite, well mannered and did a superb job. We would and have recommended them to anyone. The fire place we bought is amazing, we are so pleased with it.

Amberglow came to service my mum's gas fire today. She is a long time customer and has always been looked after. Really professional service from start to finish with a friendly approach and happy to chat through the process and a great price too. I cannot express how professional friendly and fantastic this company is The after service is superb courteous and adaptable. I phoned this morning as the engineer was due to do a yearly service and my plans had altered due to an emergency and they could not have been more helpful and parting comment was wishing us well.

Really pleased with our log burner from Amber Glow, Graham in the shop was very helpful, knows what he's talking about and gave great advice while we were deciding which fire to pick but with no hard sell. Guys who came to fit it were professional and friendly, they fitted the fire and then took time to give us guidance and explain how things worked plus cleaned up everywhere after they had finished. We have had to ask them to return to adjust the air flow slightly, came within a couple of days and again took time to go through everything with us. Great service and highly recommended.

This is the second gas fire we've had from amberglow. The first one was fitted twenty years ago. We were pleased with the service, the fitting and the performance of that fire. So, when we needed another, twenty years later , amberglow was our first choice. Once again we weren't disappointed. Take your money and run. Once they have your cash you end up in the wilderness of dealing with plasterers etc ones self. They have taken £2500 for shoddy work, crooked fireplace, bad plastering we may as well have fitted it ourself! Once we complained we were fobbed off,?being told "we've texted the fitter" but a week later still nothing - ah well we'll get a plasterer ourselves and see Amberglow Fireplaces in court
