I attended the clinic today to have wax removal. What a lovely place it is. Lindsay is so professional and explained everything that was about to happen. I can now actually hear properly! Thank you!

Almond Hearing (AH) Visit for earwax removal June 2026.
Contacted AH to arrange an ear syringe to remove earwax. AH responded quickly and efficiently and an appointment was made. On the day of the consultation I met the reception staff who booked me in. They were very friendly and helpful. I then moved into the treatment room, which was lovely and bright. Iain explained to me and the procedure before it took place. The process was was professional and I felt comfortable through out, which was a relief to me, because I was was slightly anxious beforehand as I hadn't has this treatment for several years. I was shown pictures online of both clear eardrums at the end. Very pleased thank you.

Today was my first visit to Almond Hearing. The clinic is on the ground floor of a lovely Victorian detached house in Broughty Ferry, one minute from M&S.

As I stepped inside I was warmly welcomed by Lindsey, and ushered into an enormous consulting room. All the state of the art audiology equipment you would expect to find was situated in this room with beautiful original Victorian cornices, dado rails, and wooden shutters.
OK - this isn't directly connected to the business of audiology, but it does set the scene for what come next!

I have been wearing hearing aids for about thirty years, and have encountered many audiologist in that time.

Lindsey was friendly, but very professional. She was unhurried and listened carefully to my reasons for seeking her help in a sympathetic and empathetic manner.

My hearing was tested in the usual small booth. Lindsey's explanation of what was going to happen and what I was supposed to do was concise and to the point, and afterwards she explained the results very clearly and explained the graphs on the monitor.

My current aids are five years old and need charging twice per day. Lindsey explained how much the technology has moved on during this period, including the increased battery life.

I was able to try out a pair of new aids and I was very impressed by the improved clarity. Had I not been about to go on holiday I could have had a two week trial right away.

At no point did I feel that I was being pressured to buy new hearing aids. Lindsey simply pointed out the drawbacks of old technology v the advantages of more up-to-date models, and left me to draw my own conclusions.

So, a very enjoyable and informative first visit. I have made an appointment for after my holiday, and I will take advantage of a two week trial at that time, before making a decision.

I went to Almond Hearing in Broughty Ferry for wax removal and my experience was extremely positive. The receptionist Eden was very welcoming. Lindsey, the audiologist, was friendly and professional. She explained clearly what she was going to do and why she was doing it. I will definitely return for any future treatment.

I was at Almond Hearing in Clarkston the lady who syringed my ears was great, very friendly and very good. The lady at the reception was also very nice.

Lindsay was very professional, put me at ease, explained everything as she was going through the process of removing the wax. Simple procedure and what a difference this has made to my hearing.
One to one consultation was done before the process was started to ensure I was given the best possible treatment for my condition.
Would highly recommended this practice and I will definitely be back to have my ears checked on a regular basis.

I had the opporturnity to visit the Livingston Clinic where I was met at reception with a cheery welcome and offered coffee while I awaited my appointment time. Peter the audiologist then explained to me the procedure he was about to undertake which put me at ease. Once this was completed he explained the results of the test and showed me onscreen the graphic details which were very easy to understand. I would thoroughly recommend Almond Hearing and can't thank them enough.

A fantastic service, had been to Boots and was not overly impressed. Had Almond hearing recommended by a friend and was blown away by the technology provided far better than Boots and honest advice. Arranged to get a trail with the hearing aids which was ideal as you get a feel for how they operate. Hence I would recommend Almond Hearing.
