Extremely Disappointed – Unreliable and Unresponsive

If I could give this company a negative rating, I would.

I take full responsibility for not doing more research before booking, but this experience has been nothing short of frustrating. I scheduled a service for the morning of July 3, 2025, with an expected arrival window between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM. By 9:30 AM, no one had shown up, so I emailed the company requesting a refund.

Shortly after, I received a call with an apology and was told another technician had been assigned. I agreed to the rescheduled window of 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Around 1:15 PM, the technician called to say he had picked up the alternator from AutoZone and would arrive in 20–30 minutes.

It is now 5:00 PM. No technician. No updates. I’ve sent a second email requesting a refund and have yet to receive a response.

This kind of service is unacceptable. You can’t build a sustainable business by misleading customers and failing to deliver on basic commitments. I feel deceived and disappointed. What a joke.

Horrible

Horrible. Pre-charged. Ghosted 2 days in a row from the mechanic. Now 5-7 days to get my money returned to my bank account. True story. :/

I submitted alternator replacement. beware

I submitted alternator replacement online for my car included all the information and was schedule for a monring 730-930. I called at 930 when no response and they told me the price was wrong so the mechanic did not attend, they needed another $100 so total of 782 for alternator replacement. Told me the mechanic will make it that day by 1pm. I called at 130 and then was told he will make it before end of day..nope called again and mechanic called me and said no he cannot it is too hot. I understand the weather was hot but they should have told me that first thing in the morning. No one called me about the price, no one called me to keep me updated. ONly positive they did reimburse me immediately. I will never use them again

This is the absolute worst company…

This is the absolute worst company ever!!! I have attempted to use Wrench on at least 5 different occasions & paid for car repair services that I didn't receive. I thought it was convenient to use a mobile mechanic & had hope & optimism that they will do a good job. But each and every time I've felt like I was charged for services that were never completed.

For example, the mobile mechanic came to my house today and didn't even attempt to do the diagnostic. He was so busy and focused on leaving instead of doing his job. I paid $650 for a diagnostic and was told that we needed to get a battery also. Got the battery and he still didn't do the diagnostic.

And an added bonus, they charge you upfront before they will even come to your house for an appointment, which is a shady business practice. I could understand if a deposit was needed, but to charge before services is rendered is an immediate red flag. I want everyone to know that this company is a complete scam. They use a bait and switch approach, always wanting the customer to get something other than the actual service they need. If I could give a rating below 0 I certainly would. Run as far away as you can from using this company, unless you like seeing your hard earned money being thrown completely out of the window!

TERRIBLE. AWFUL. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES

Had an appointment for alternator replacement and a/c diagnosis at 8:30…received no confirmation text or eta notification until I HAD to call them an hour and a half after the fact! The technician finally said that he was wrapping up his last appointment…still no eta and then out of no where said that he wasn’t going to be available until next week and that i needed to go to the app to reschedule?? When i asked him why because i had been waiting for two hours PLUS they had already taken the money from my account, he said it was because O’Reillys didn’t have an alternator? I asked if he could check an autozone or something to be considerate of my time and money that they already took and he didn’t care and said he escalated the situation to operations? When i called customer service they did not care and didn’t offer any help or solutions. Terrible customer service, clueless technicians, waste of time and money. DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT USE THEM. And whatever you do…DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!

Wish I had read these reviews first. Pre-billing. Rescheduling. Finally fix one problem, but mechanic leaves with the underside of my car not put back together and a leak in the garage.

Scheduled an appointment for a service…

Scheduled an appointment for a service with them they took it and charged me immediately. Had no contact the day of the service until I called an hour after the guy was suppose to be there only for them to cancel over the phone saying it isn't a service they offer even though it's on there site as an option and they took on the job initially. This all after having to work around them not making it to location all week. Save your time and effort and just call a toddler. You'll get quicker and better service anywhere but here.

Fraud

Fraud. Awful. Made appt to get my battery replaced so car could be sold today. Made in appt for this morning. Confirmation. They cancelled. I was told only $1 would be put on my card. I made a 2nd appt for today between 2:30-4:30. At 5pm no on called/showed so I called and got another cancellation. I got a FRAUD alert from my bank. They CHARGED 427.66 to my account YESTERDAY, then broke two appoints. They offered to set up a 3rd appt, but I have to pay ANOTHER 427.66 to a company that charged in advance, then no showed two appoints. They do not GAF.

Completely Useless "Service"

I scheduled to have my water pump replaced and once they showed up they did not have the tools to perform the job. The mechanic informed me that Wrench would be contacting me to have another person come out to complete the work, but after no call, email, or text I called their main number. They informed me that they would be charging me $150.00 for a "diagnosis" because the mechanic came out (the mechanic without tools). Their service is completely worthless and a waste of time in my opinion.

Never have I ever!

Wow, really wish I had read reviews first. Have already paid, and they keep "rescheduling" my repair. Meanwhile, I am taking Ubers, and my car is dead in a shopping center parking lot. I will spread the word on every social media outlet I can find. HORRIBLE

Bad company

This is not a good. Ompanyvwho cares about their clients. I should have checked the reviews. My horror story. I needed to replace my alternator. I like the idea someone coming to my house and a warranty. Bad decision one they replaced my alternator my car stopped working. When I called aboyt the alternator (560) they told me I had to pay for another diagnostic test (150) this is my second one. On my way hone from work. My car broken down and had to be towed. When I called Wrench has a tow truck, how convenient( 200).After they did the test the mechanic told me it was my crank shift (350). So they changed that. I am taking UBERS to work for two weeks 80 dollars a day. After tge crankshuft was replaced my car had to be jumped 3 times ny the police. Call them back. I had to pay another 150 just for them to come back. Spoiler alert say up. Now I get a new battery on May 9, 2025. No my auto lights don't come on. My raido light goes in and out. While I was driving to work. The car stopped abruptly and I almost hit a concrete wall. When I called the to tell them my issues. They tell me to pay another 150 to have a mechanic ro come out. Nit caring that I could have died. Where are the caring place who looks at vechile and yind out what the problem is before they start quiting a price. Never mind I spent clise to 3000 for parts and still no cat. I had to leave it parked at work. I amluterally scared to drive it. I'm going to get hurt or some innocent person will.

Please beware.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience, I recently moved and had to leave my car in the old area because although it could run there was smoking coming up from the valve cover gasket needing replacement and the coolant leaking too fast. I moved 40+ mins from where my car is parked. I had a diagnostic ran 11days before getting it fixed. Not only do my car no longer run both diagnostic tests are different from another I was told I would have to pay for an additional diagnostic test and if the problem is what is listed that he worked on I’ll be charged like they don’t charge before coming out.

Terrible service

The mechanic came in a pickup truck not a van with tools. He misdiagnosed 2 issues and never offered to fix anything. I paid $160.88 for a bad diagnosis and no solutions. Tried to get at least part of my money back but nothing from the company.

They are HORRIBLE RUN

They are HORRIBLE - I set an appointment on 4/30 and they have me a time of 11-1 on 5/1 - I took the day off work and they didn’t show but took my $150. They claim the reservation didn’t come through but when I called and gave them my phone number they had all my details!!! Now they are saying I have to wait until 5/2 so that’s another day of taking off work!!! Your system not working is yall problem but I’m losing financially because I have to take two days off work.

Worst service ever

Worst service ever. Tech who came to fix my car, damaged it and wouldn't come to fix the damage he did. Run away from this company, I put a claim with my cc for negligent service.

Avoid at all costs!

Needed o2 sensor replaced. First Wrench mechanic showed up with the wrong part. Had to reschedule for the next day. 2nd appointment. He put the part in but problems persisted. Scheduled a 3rd appointment for a diagnostic. Mechanic #2 told me the o2 sensor put in was faulty but not to worry, it’s under warranty and he’d replace it for free so I set up a 4th appointment. Unfortunately, that mechanic decided to cancel our appointment over an hour after he was supposed to show up! Had to make a 5TH APPOINTMENT with my now 3rd mechanic. That mechanic practically tore my car apart but said he couldn’t replace the part. After he left, I received a call saying I would have to buy a 2nd o2 sensor since apparently the original mechanic put in the upper stream instead of lower stream. Oh, and I’ll have to make a sixth appointment and pay again for a brand new part. I had a part replaced, but it turns out didn’t even need to be replaced, but still have yet to get the correct part. I’ll check back if the 6TH APPOINTMENT goes any differently, but at this point, I cannot say enough negative things about this so-called service and would never recommend it to anybody! They’re cheating me out of $250 and I hope they enjoy it because it’s the most expensive money they’ll ever make! Six appointments and having to pay doubleheader to cover for their mistakes is beyond ridiculous!
