3 years ago my son had an accident and they've not dealt with the claim that a woman not involved in accident is fraudulently trying to.claim and woop did nothing to resolve this issue they've given me a email to send paperwork its none existent and now we have court paperwork this company wants stopping from doing insurance its caused great stress and illness and my son.couls lose his job over it and they don't give a damb past few days I've been passed from pillar to.post and still they've not got it.sorted I'm going to legal advice now ..what's the point of paying legal cover when they don't sort it 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

affecting my mental health

affecting my mental health, Having my car stolen 12 months ago today this company have still not paid me out for my claim, My car that got stolen is on finance and I'm paying around 200 a month for a vehicle i no longer own,
I have been with the company 2 years and their loyalty is not the same as mine.
I've told them they caused me mental health due to my finances yet they did not resolve anything...

its been a whole year and still nothing and they never update me its always me chasing them ive had enough

DON'T TRUST YOUR KIDS LIVES WITH THIS COMPANY! My daughter has had exactly the same experience as so many of the people writing on here. This company is a JOKE!
The worst thing, apart from paying horrendous premiums for 18 MONTHS While they try to convince us to take 30/70 (in her favour) responsibility for some absolute idiot over taking her on the opposite side of the road, in the wrong lane, luckily only clipping her wing, then driving into a lampost, telling us the independent witness was only giving 'his opinion' (what else do witnesses do?) wouldn't hold much weight!
NO! THE WORSE THING ... wait for this ... WAS ACTUALLY LEAVING HER UNINSURED, LETTING HER PREMIUM LAPSE, with no reasonable time informing her of this! WHOOP wrote a month before saying she'd be invited to be insured by their new company YOYO(Still owned by companies INSPIRE & COGENT), reassuring her she need not take action, nothing would change, ... ... they'd not leave her un-insured! Then did indeed leave her uninsured because the hard copy only letter informing us of such was dated 2 days before her renewal and the mail was slow! How ridiculous. They then would not insure her. We've now gone with a more reputable company. We're paying a lot, but we're glad to be with a good company, paying for a more expensive premium, until the issue with her non fault accident is settled. We don't know if we ought take the 30/70 just to have it sorted. HOwever now WOOP don't even exist, we'll never get the high premiums she's been paying for 18th months returned (they went from £60 to £150), which woop said would be, on settlement! Its an absolute nightmare. We are now paying £230 with a reputable company, as YOYO would not renew. It's a blessing really. The new company said it may or may not go down when it's all settled, but at least we're being told the truth. I've written to CEO and MD of cogent and Inspire, so last week I finally got a letter saying it should be resolved by 23rd July'21. I don't hold much hope. I will be writing to the press about this despicable company. WHO REGULATES THESE COMPANIES?
We're just pleased no-one was maimed or killed in the crash, what terrors might behold you then!
I HOLD NOT MUCH HOPE FOR OMBUDSMAN EITHER! It's a terrible state of affairs. PAY BIG, OR GET THE BUS IS MY ADVISE!

A truly grotesque company

A truly grotesque company. A cannot condemn this company enough. Read the other reviews and you'll see a pattern. Prey on high-risk drivers at exorbitant costs and then find any excuse to not pay out or do anything to address losses. The fact that a company like this can continue to trade goes to show how pointless companies being "regulated" is. If the regulator can't stamp out companies like the the we as consumers/victims have to share experiences.

You'll notice that there are no ratified reviews about experiences after and accident. All positive reviews are "Oooh cheap insurance!" from new customers, not from people who have had to claim.

Very Strange

My son passed his test May 2019, he had just turned 18. Really reasonably priced insurance with Woop, therefore took out the policy and paid in full. Renewal 2020, priced halved and again paid in full. This year, said they couldn't renew it. (others saying the same) No reason or anything. I do know that Woop got taken over sometime in 2020, without telling anyone. The black box hadn't been recording for weeks upon weeks. Anyhow, got a decent quote from General Accident Car Insurance. Searched everywhere and this company was the cheapest.

I would leave NO stars or negative

I would leave NO stars or negative. We paid up front to insure my 17 year old son whose insurance cost more than the car! Someone else hit him, we have sent proof through photographs and statements from witnesses. This happened in June 2020. It is now nearly May 2021. His renewal was due and they refused to provide further cover (apparently due to change of policy that they no longer insure 18 year olds). We paid for legal cover too. It is now 11 months and we haven't had our claim although they have acknowledged time and time again it is due. They still haven't paid out and still haven't pushed the third party fault claim, meaning we have had to pay even more this year for my son as he has an accident recorded against him, despite the evidence the other driver was on the wrong side of the road. You cannot contact Woop - they use agencies who are fed up fielding calls from Woop. Woop are apparently in administration! Time to go to the ombudsman.

Please choose another company.

My eldest used woop for two years. Never had an issue or claim or even a sad face on their useless app (which stopped working for five months). She was due a renewal in two weeks and they did not send one, so we renewed with someone else much cheaper than last year. BUT then they said when it did come through they cannot cover this year. Refused to give a reason too which I suspect is a breach of the GDPR, Also the installer damaged her car when installing the black box. Seriously now they are part of another company who has pretty poor reviews also. I would recommend you avoid these people - thankfully there is a lot of choice out there

Worst experience I have ever had

Worst experience I have ever had! Avoid this company it’s a disaster and they try to scam you out of every penny you have!! My first year with this insurance and they’ve been nothing but a bad experience. Charged me for an address change just across the street and upped my monthly cost by £20 when the car is still in the same place as it was at the old address!!

Also my last months payment they took out and have then sent me a letter saying im late and now owe them £170!! Customer service are awful and don’t care. I have to now send proof of my payment to an email and customer service couldn’t even assure me that the fee would be wiped even though I already paid ON TIME!!

woop are a load of poop

I would like to tell you of my experience with Whoop insurance company, NOT as one of their customers but as the customer of another insurance company that has been dealing with them as the insurance company of a third party to try and get my claim sorted. If you want them to deal with insurance claims in a prompt and professional manner these are the NOT the company for you, if you want them to deal with you claim in less than 2 months, they are NOT the company for you, NOT even 3 months, NOT even 4 months no if you want to have to wait for more than 5 months for them to deal with your claim then this is the company for you. If you want them to tell you that the claim has been paid in to your bank account NOT once but on 5 different occasions for you to check and find out it has NOT been done and then chase them up only to find that the cheque has not been authorised or some other reason then this is the insurance company for you, I don’t usually put negative feedback on about any company but I feel that I have been treated in a totally unprofessional manner from the start I’ve still NOT had my claim sorted or an apology for the way that I have been dealt with. I feel I just need to let other people know what type of company they are dealing with, so please, please, please choose this company if you want to have to run about like a headless chicken chasing them up constantly as is you have nothing better to do with your time. This is still ongoing!!!!!!!

Actions speak louder than words. A whole load of broken promises....

Pretty gutted about this to be honest. Paid £30 to change my registration plate details to my private reg, 6 months later they still haven't changed and each time I speak on the phone they only have my old registration on the details. What did I pay £30 for?

Then I had to change my address a couple weeks ago as I moved house, they told me they would get back to me two days later to let me know as they couldn't find my address. They also said I would be sent my renewal quote as I was 3 weeks off renewing. 2 weeks later (1 week before my renewal) and I have heard nothing.

Speak to customer service and I receive the same response. What a shame you are wasting not only so much of my time but also your customer service team are wasting the business time and money. Teach them how to do their job.

I have been with Woop for nearly 3 years and have never had any issues with them. The customer service is outstanding and have really been a great support during this pandemic. Would definitely recommend.

Avoid at all costs

I would recommend you avoid this company at all costs. Was with them for a year and have had nothing but trouble. When they fitted my black box, the car has had nothing but problems since and goes in to limp mode, was told by 3 car garages that it was down to the black box fitting. When approaching the company about this, they were nothing but rude and adamant that they weren't responsible for this! They also tried charging us for a late fee payment, when payment was not late. Please stay clear an go to a trustworthy company.

The worst company I’ve dealt with.

If I could rate my experience below 1 I would!.
Where do I even begin...I’ve had that many problems with this company firstly, no link was ever sent to me for the black box, no staff members seemed to care about this so I left it as it was if they don’t care why should I ?.

Secondly I moved house needed to change my address I emailed them stating I’ve moved here’s my new address with a blunt response of ‘you need to call us’, so I did was on hold a long time and in the end couldn’t get through to anyone I kept trying but no one at woop seems to want to do their job or take ownership.

I then got a new car so of course I needed to insure that car. I was trying to check and get a quote for my new car but nothing was coming up I assumed it was my internet so I tried again the next day filled the form out again to get a quote saying they cannot insure me on my new car, My pick update for my car was approaching so I searched up a reputable company and moved over to them. I called up and said I want to Cancel my insurance I mentioned that I was cancelling as they are unable to insure me on my new car due to what the website was saying and as a result of this I’ve brought new insurance else where, the woman on the phone proceeded to inform me that they weren’t taking on any new business hence why the website won’t give me a quote and that I should of called them to discuss this, I questioned that I wasn’t ‘new’ business I just needed to update my number plate and whilst I was there made sure my address was up date which of course it wasn’t and to change my address it would be £30 I said I’m not paying that as I’m cancelling my policy she spoke to her manager and this got wavered she didn’t really have a clue what she was doing.

A very long story short I found out that I owed £280 in cancellation fees I asked for a break down which they sent me to find out I was in fact charged for change of address it only took me a fair few emails to a solicitor and a few other legal teams to see where I stood I finally had a response from them acknowledging that they are in the wrong and apologise and give me the actual quote I should pay.

Unfortunately like a lot of people I’m on furlough and money is tight I can’t pay the lump sum all in one go I called up again and what seems like the only helpful member (Terry Meare) at woop answered and helped me set up a portal to pay it off over so many months but of course they just want the money so I’ve recently received a letter saying if I don’t pay it all within 7days they will be adding administration fees to the current sum of money.

DONT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY. They are suppose to help young drivers and they haven’t helped me at all of if anything They have caused me so much stress.

Poor poor company

Poor poor company, failed to complete my payout on time to an external company resulting in me receiving a £160 fine (they didn’t take responsibility and I was not entitled to the money back they also had 6 weeks to pay way more than enough time). Got my renewal cancelled it over the phone 4 weeks before my renewal, they never actually cancelled it and automatically charged me for the New Years insurance. After this I called to cancel again and cancelled by direct debit to prevent being further robbed... ate now trying to fine me £202 for a policy which I opted out of over two months ago... awful staff also not spoke to a single colleague who was remotely useful/helpful!!

Wouldn't even put any stars on there. This company are ridicious! They wont physically let me cancel my insurance policy with them even tho my car has been down to a write off and is being taken away. Woop still want me to pay another 2 months insurance which I never ever agreed to at the start of the policy. So people be careful if you want to cancel your insurance with them they wont let you. This is there way of getting money I've had to go to my bank about this.

Paying monthly doesn't allow you to stop paying the premium after making use of the cover provided, this is why the full premium will have been required to be paid, even though you will no longer have the vehicle insured by the policy.

Not recommended

I was never able to download the app for the black box - kept phoning and was given links on numerous occasions, but never worked. They automatically renewed my insurance taking the money from my account 2 weeks before renewal was due. I tried phoning numerous times over the next 2 weeks and emailed advising them I wasn’t renewing with them and to get a refund, also to ask why I had no correspondence regarding the renewal or a price prior to them taking my money. No one answered the phone or the emails. Finally I got through 2 weeks later to be told they had refunded the money that day -23 days after taking it and 9 days after my insurance expired & my emails. Then.... the next day I received a letter saying they could not renew my policy because they weren’t able to take the money from my account! Absolutely unbelievably bad customer service.

Been insured with this company for a…

Been insured with this company for a year now and the best insurers I could have asked for, they are very fair with their telematics box, they don’t penalise you for driving late and they’ve been brilliant. Very fair price for insurance too. Only downfall is that they said they cannot insure me for another year which has given me only 2 weeks to find a new insurer, which raised my premium significantly as I had to find somewhere last minute! Shame, as I would have loved to stay insured with them!

Been with this company for 3 years now

Been with this company for 3 years now. didnt really have any problems. Until 2 weeks before my renewal date and heard nothing. I called them and they said i should receive information soon. To only receive an email that says my insurance wont be continued. I called to ask why and they stated that they have new underwriters and they them self don't know the reason why. This has no left me less that two weeks to look for an insurance company.
