I really enjoyed my daughter's experience at Woodcrest Preschool. When my daughter turned 2, I enrolled her there and worked with Julie, the Director in getting my daughter acclimated to my dropping her off in the mornings as well as my picking her up. Julie was great with my daughter and in helping me be able to understand my toddler better. The education my daughter received was very good and I am very pleased with the overall experience. Kudos to Julie.

We love Woodcrest!!! The teachers are angels and so good with all the kids, and the administrative staff is very understanding and informative.

Ms. Lisa is the best...i wish they had a whole school full of teachers like her...shes loving to the kids, and has a genuine passion for what she does..she goes above and beyond for the school and they should be thankful and grateful that they have her there.

I absolutely love this school! The director, Danielle, and the teachers are all amazing! They are honestly like an extension of our family -- I think of my daughter's teachers and Danielle (since she is so wonderfully involved in the school) as second moms to my daughter. I am so thankful to have found this school.

For a bit more background... My daughter has been attending the Agoura Hills location since February 2016. She hadn't been in any type of day care or school before then. So, while I was excited for her to start school and enjoy all the benefits that would come with it, I was also nervous about how she would adjust since she was the type of kid who could have a hard time separating from me and my husband. I am so thankful to her teachers, Ms. Tammie, Ms. Lisa and Ms. Maritza, and to Danielle, for how very loving and caring they were in guiding my daughter through her transition to starting school. They are truly amazing people and teachers, and I am so grateful that my daughter has them as role models to look up to as she grows up. My daughter loves her time at school, thanks to them, and I really can't recommend the school highly enough!

My kid started going to Woodcrest at 3 months old. Every teacher we met is kind, caring, supportive and knowledgeable. It is a true blessing to find such great school.

Another wonderful service Woodcrest provides is the "Kid Reports". Parents receive updates and pictures through out the day. I can't count how many times I was having a tough time in office and the updates/pictures of kids and their friends kept me going.

My daughter has been attending Woodcrest in Newbury Park for approx two years. At first, she ( and I!) struggled with the drop off. She wouldn't want to let go of my hand and would cry. The staff were really good about teaching her that Mommy would be right back and they were equally good about teaching me about how to make the drop off easier for her (not picking her up or staying to long to console her).

My daughter absolutely loves her teachers. She talks about them so much, even when she's not at school. The school has a very good daily teaching plan & schedule. I love seeing what they have done each day so that I can talk to my daughter about she did and what she learned. and I love hearing her sing the school song in the car on the way home.

The school has really well planned out activities that help make school fun for my daughter as well as educational. I want her to learn but also enjoy going to school and to see it as fun. My daughter has many years of serious schooling ahead of her and I think that Woodcrest has a good balance between the two.

I absolutely love the Newbury Park Woodcrest staff and facility. The teachers are patient, enthusiastic, and very encouraging with their students. It's apparent they have had their own elaborate education to properly care and nurture these kids emotions and pathways to learning. my daughter struggled with social skills and was very shy to learning. after the first week of attending, I notice a tremendous difference in her confidence and interest in learning. Her range of verbal communication has expanded and I couldn't be more impressed. Nothing makes me happier seeing how excited my daughter is to go to school to see her friends and teachers. I have yet to experience a more interactive and passionate group of people for the success of ALL their students. Fantastic educational program.
If you are looking for a preschool with an attentive, personable and friendly fun staff, this is your school.

Our family has been with Woodcrest Preschool for 3+ years now. Our boy is on his last year before he graduates to Kindegarten. This is entirely a family matter. My husband and I are involved with the staff and the director as our son transitions through every level of development. The staff listens, pays attention to our son and is included on what is happening at home so they can understand him better. They maintain consistent discipline, and share a tremendous level of genuine interest and love for our boy. Our son loves going to Woodcrest, and we feel absolute relief and security when we leave him there. The staff at Woodcrest is very grounded, knows when it's time to be silly and fun, and respectful of everyone (adults and children). We'll continue to enjoy our last year with Woodcrest and will count our blessings as we continue the search for smart and loving care for our son, as he grows older. Woodcrest Preschool has set the bar for care of our child.

This is a place I can send my children everyday and feel confident in their safety, health and education. My oldest daughter is ready for Kindergarten due to the curriculum she went through at Woodcrest. She loved all of her teachers and never wanted to stay home from school. My youngest daughter is in the three year old class and she loves her teachers. The staff treat each other like a family, which creates a warm, loving environment for the kids. The director greets me everyday and I am always amazed to see that she knows every single child's name in the whole school! Whatever you expect from a preschool, Woodcrest will deliver!

The school pretends to be inclusive and welcoming, but the teachers are miserable, and the director is completely uncommunicative. She does not ever come out to speak with parents or staff, and is always irritable. Children are permitted in restrooms unsupervised and lights are either deliberately left off or are broken. Children are reprimanded for expressing emotions and using expressions such as 'gosh', no matter the context. Bilingual/esl children are deliberately ignored. Dirty waste water from the restaurant next door runs into the play yard. Inadequate snack and craft supplies. Roaches. Teachers yell at kids and do not interact kindly.

We're into our third year at Woodcrest Preschool in Sherman Oaks. Our daughter started the week she turned 2 and is now in her last year before Kindergarten. We're amazed at what she has learned at Woodcrest. She knows a lot about many different subjects and her writing and reading foundation is already very strong. She will definitely be kindergarten ready. We love their focus on play and exploration in addition to the academics. The Summer Program is also really great, it includes extracurricular shows, interactive experiences (pony rides, water play days, animal shows, etc) and growing a garden. We also love the bonus offerings (for an additional cost). They offer Play Ball, Dance class and Bricks for Kids.

And a bonus for parents, you get updates and photos throughout the day, which is so nice to have when you're away from your child! We work full time, so the hours are GREAT for that (6:30a-6:30p).

We love the staff, the teachers and the vendors they bring into the classrooms.

When our daughter Brixton turned 2, we decided that we were going to move her from a home environment with a full time dedicated nanny to a preschool. As you can imagine, changing your child's routine completely can be a very stressful and scary process. We did a lot of homework, and visited nearly a dozen preschools in the Sherman Oaks, Encino and Van Nuys areas. Armed with a check list of needs and about 2 dozen questions, we began looking for the perfect place for our little girl to learn and grow. When we finished all of the school visits and sat down to evaluate the options, choosing Woodcrest Preschool was a no brainer. The school was clean, safe, offered wonderful hours for working parents, and the staff all seemed smart, caring and competent. Additionally, their rates for preschool were on par with competing schools (slightly higher, but you could see that the small increase in monthly tuition was worth every penny).

We instantly enrolled our daughter and have not regretted it for a second. Our daughter's social skills have grown tremendously, she has made some forever friends and has bonded with her teachers, often coming home to tell us how much she adores them. The school goes through great lengths to make sure that the kids are both learning and having fun throughout the day, balancing academics and play in a very effective way. They do a lot to make sure that they integrate parents into the classrooms and often hold events that encourage family members to be a part of it (potlucks, Mother's Day/Father's Day events, Halloween parades). They offer the Kid Reports App which sends me photos and updates on her day and her progress right to my work email. I cannot tell you how special it is to get a picture of her having a great time while I am working.

The summer program is great too! The focus is more play based than learning based, but they still manage to integrate some education in there as well! If you are looking for a great preschool that can become a community and a network of friendships, you will love this place. I recommend them to every family I know and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a safe, educational and fun place for your child.

My older daughter was at Woodcrest from two years old until pre-K. Now my younger daughter has started at the school in the two year old classroom. I have always been satisfied with the teachers, the classroom activities and lessons. The school has improved over the years, incorporating technology into their security and classrooms. I love receiving pictures and videos everyday of my daughter, playing, coloring, or even riding a pony at school. I have recommended to this school to other family and friends and will continue to do so in the future.

We plan to enroll our youngest child when she is of age.

I was very impressed with Woodcrest when I first toured it. I have 2 boys there right now, although one is about to graduate. Sadly his teacher moved to another state after his graduation, so my little one won't get to have her but she just scooped up my scared little boy and made him feel welcome. My younger son started at 18 months and his teacher Miss Melissa is one of his favorite people in the world. He gets a little protective of "my melissa". Miss Danielle is so attentive and warm and caring and I feel good leaving my kids under her watch. We are very happy with our experiece here.

I love Woodcrest and all the teachers there. Both my boys started at Woodcrest at about 3 1/2 years old, they both grew and learned so much being there. I love how warm and welcoming the staff is and how much they truly do care about the kids they take care of each day. I work full time and it means so much to me to know that my kids are happy and thriving.

Both of my kids went to Woodcrest Preschool in Newbury Park. All of the teachers are wonderful and have taught my kids so much. The director is fabulous and is very warm & helpful. I love all the extra activities they have at the school. Both of my kids were more than ready to tackle kindergarten after going to Woodcrest. I would recommend this school to anyone that needs an awesome preschool with great hours. Thank you girls for all the years of fun & learning. We will miss you!

I have heard a lot of great things about Woodcrest Preschool and always wanted my kids to go there, but because I am a single mom I do not make a lot of money. When I expressed my situation to Ms. Karen, the director of Woodcrest, she was so caring and went out of her way to help me and my kids. All she wanted was for my kids to get a good education, it wasn't about the money, it was about the education for my boys and that meant a lot to me! The teachers are wonderful and so caring. This school has been such a huge blessing to me and my family. I would not take my kids anywhere else.

My child is thriving in the preschool and has learned so much (letters, writing, numbers, phonics) to prepare my child for Kindergarten. There are also supplemental classes available that are in addition to monthly tuition such as dance, sports and Legos, and all the classes age-appropriate. Because the preschool is open year-round, you can rely on Woodcrest to be open when other preschools might be closed, and their extended hours allow for utmost flexibility for working parents.
