I do not often leave reviews but my experience when taking my X5 in for a service this week was outstanding. I received a courtesy call the day before to confirm the appointment and the additional analysis request. When I dropped off the car, I had the opportunity to discuss my query with the Service Manager (Harry) who took the time to understand. I was given a pod to work at and was superbly looked after by the team at the refreshment station. The Service Manager took me into the workshop in order to explain their analysis and discuss with the Technician.
The whole experience was 'next level' - well done all round and thank you.

Having had a loan car I was involved in an accident which resulted in paying an excess. Nicola, in the body shop, has been very thorough in communicating and keeping me updated for over 6 months. The customer service received has been exemplary. Thank you Nicola for helping me get back my excess.

I had the EGR cooler recall carried out at BMW Wollaston in June last year. My vehicle had no issues at the time, but I complied with BMW’s recall notice and had the work completed.
Last week I suddenly experienced an engine management light along with a strong burning smell coming from the engine bay and into the car. Given the well-documented problems associated with the EGR recall and the potential fire risk, this was extremely concerning.
I contacted BMW Wollaston immediately, however I was repeatedly told “no one from the service department is available, they will call you back.” It took a day and a half before anyone returned my call.
When I finally spoke to someone, I explained the situation and was advised to bring the car in. At the time I was working away, which made this difficult. I was then advised to contact BMW Roadside Assistance, which was also not practical as I needed the vehicle to travel between my hotel and workplace.
Once I got the vehicle home, I arranged for my wife to take it in. I called again at 10am, and once again was told no one was available and someone would call me back. By 3pm I had still heard nothing, so I called again and received the exact same response.
After finishing work at 4PM, I drove all the way back to Northampton just to try and speak to someone at the dealership in person.
The only helpful part of this experience was the receptionist, who was polite and clearly trying to assist. Unfortunately, even she could not get anyone from the service department to come and speak to me.
I was eventually told my options were either:
• Wait until next Tuesday for the earliest booking, or
• Leave the car with them for the week while authorising and paying for diagnostic charges
This is completely unacceptable.
The issue appears to be directly related to the EGR recall. Even the service staff acknowledged that the manifold may have been weakened due to the original EGR defect. Please listen to the recorded call.
This is a known safety issue that BMW themselves have issued recalls for due to the risk of vehicle fires, yet BMW Wollaston expects customers to pay diagnostic fees to investigate a problem linked to their own recall work.
The lack of communication from the service department, the inability to speak to anyone responsible for servicing, and the expectation that customers should pay to investigate a known recall-related fault is extremely disappointing.
I will now be escalating this matter to BMW UK and the relevant authorities responsible for vehicle safety recalls and defect investigations.
Based on my experience, the customer service from the service department at BMW Wollaston has been extremely poor.
Great service! I've had my MINI for almost 4 years. The dealership called to ask what my plans were for the end of my PCP contract and I explained that as much as I love the car, I have decided not to keep it as I'd like a bigger car. They were really helpful, they didn't pressure me to look at another car, instead they understood my situation and asked if I’d be happy for one of their buyers to contact me about potentially purchasing the car. The next day, Darren called me and explained the process. I sent some photos of the car and Darren came back with an offer. A week later, Darren collected the car from my house. Within an hour I had received confirmation of the sale and the difference between the sale and my settlement transferred to my bank. Darren was great! Quick to respond, friendly and professional. Thank you for your help!

Recently had to get some repair work done on my 520d after a freak accident with an aggregate lorry. I was put in contact with Simon in the bodyshop who was a pleasure to deal with, very quickly assessed the damage and got the information we needed over to my insurance company. When it came to the repair itself, it was plain sailing and Nicola was brilliant from start to finish with all the necessary bits and bobs that needed to be signed, etc. I also spoke with Mark during the process and he couldn’t have been more helpful.

Booked a service online for a 2024 530e yesterday as tyres need replacing, service light is on, there is a speaker issue and there is also a recall on the car. Received a call from them today bizarrely asking me to cancel because they only service cars within 1500 miles of the service required regardless of the fact that there is a recall on the car. By the time of the appointment it will be. Completely wasted my time and insulted my intelligence. This is not the first time that I’ve been left horribly underwhelmed by these amateurs at Wollaston. Slowly but surely destroying BMWs reputation in Northampton. Immediately rebooked a £900 major service with Bedford BMW who are infinitely more knowledgeable and far more customer centric. They asked a few questions, confirmed the recall and offered me a courtesy car. It may be a new building but it’s the same sloppy old Wollaston I’m afraid. Looking forward to the hollow, insulting set response thanking me for “my feedback”.

My second visit to Wollaston BMW to purchase another car ended up with a stunning black 128ti bought the car blind with living 300 mile away round trip was looked after from start to finish by Paul Jones who sent me videos and updates on the car and a honest description of the car took the train down and was picked up at station well looked after at dealership even though they were in temporary accommodation. When i got home found a problem with car which was dealt with straight away by Paul who tried his best to resolve it with the least inconveniences but unfortunately car had to be returned to them a courtesy car was delivered to my home address and mine picked up and returned the same way can’t thank Paul enough for what he did and can’t believe how they went out there way to make it was a seamless process to get the job done I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone and second time here and I will be back keep up the good work BIG thanks to Paul.

Unethical and unscrupulous behaviour exemplified by service centre manager. BMW misdiagnosed faulty indicator therefore failed to resolve the fault. Service centre manager accused me of being a disgruntled customer who did not want to pay for the service.
When I pointed out that my indicator was still hyper flashing, he failed to address my concerns and instead preferred to state that I had agreed to the work. Obviously I had requested a diagnosis and a repair, as has been the case with all issues with my car in the past. This is the first instance where BMW have failed to repair my car.
Instead of being honest about their lack of care and skill, the service centre manager decided to dismiss the outcome of the unsuccessful repair. My car was returned to BMW THREE times ( twice over a couple of nights and they kept the car for a whole week on one occasion) and still they failed to fix the faulty indicator.
In fact the last customer service agent I spoke with stated that he wouldn’t allow the technicians to work on the car as they truly didn’t know how to resolve the fault. He stated that any attempts to repair my car would be experimental and charged back to me. I was shocked how this service centre felt entitled to take payment for a failed service.
Furthermore adding salt to injury, BMW wanted to fleece me of a further £800 for another experimental fix which I vehemently declined. Had I been gullible, I would have lost a total of £1.6k to this service centre. My car was eventually fixed by an independent garage and it turns out BMW indeed did misdiagnose the fault!
I fought long and hard for my chargeback which was found in my favour due to the appalling behaviour exemplified by this service centre.
Avoid this service centre like a plague! The lack of accountability and casual breach of consumer law is deeply worrying. It’s a pity that the BMW brand has been cheapened by such crude and unethical behaviour from their management team

Good customer service from start to finish. I found the team in the body shopshop freindly and easy to deal with. The telephone was always answered promptly and I got answers straight away. The car was returned cleaned inside and out. Also, most importantly, the work carried out looks first class. I would recommend using Wollaston for body repairs. Thank you Nicola, Simon and Mark.

Probably the best after sales experience I have experienced despite my car being off the road with Wollaston for several weeks to diagnose and rectify a fault under warranty, Tayla from service provided weekly updates on the actions that were being taken and progress in resolving the issue. Matt, senior service technician stayed late on a Saturday in an effort to resolve the issue and called me to talk through all the attempted fixes in detail. Pleased to say my car is back to full health and as a gesture they kindly provided some accessories as a thank you. Thank you Wollaston and in particular Tayla who is a credit to your dealership.

Debbie Graham in sales was simply fantastic. She made the whole process of buying a new car a real pleasure. She was thorough, knowledgeable and really took the time to make sure everything was just how I wanted. Jason Bell also made sure I had the right financial deal, and that I understood all options available to me. I highly recommend Wollaston when considering purchasing your next car.
