I found Winternode while searching for an affordable Minecraft server host. I bought their 4GB Minecraft package, and ran a modded Forge server with anywhere from 5 to 15 players on at a time. During our 3 months using the server, we experienced little to no unexpected lag or other server issues. Even running large, potentially lag causing machines caused less problems than we expected.
The server management interface is easy to use and navigate, even for someone who'd never managed a server before. Winternode provides some guides to server setup, and a community support Discord channel for questions that the guide may not answer. With these resources and a few Google searches, I had no problems setting up my own server for the first time.
Their support team is super helpful, and answer support tickets quickly. When I contacted support requesting an additional port for my server, they got back to me and had set me up with one within minutes! They're also very active on Discord, answer questions and concerns there regularly, as well as announce updates about server maintenance and other downtime.

TLDR: Winternode's servers are affordable, run well, are easy to set up and manage (even for a first time server owner), and have an excellent support team behind them. Definitely worth a try, and I know I'll be coming back if I run another server in the future.

I had been looking for a server hoster for a while, and when I heard that Winternode was pretty good, I thought that I would try it. After a couple weeks of using their service, I can say that their support team is exceptionally fast and helpful, and goes above and beyond with answering questions and providing help when requested. I'd recommend at least giving it a try if you are looking for a reliable server hoster that is worth it for the price.

Winternode is a solid host with the best support I have ever had. Tickets take minutes to address, not hours and days. Highly tuned servers for minecraft. Just great all around.

WinterNode has affordable and spectacular server performance. I tried a few popular hosts in the past and most of them could barely handle a spigot server with a few plugins. A few months ago after a bit of digging I found out about them and decided to give it a try. I bought the 4GB package and loaded a huge modpack on it for some friends, and it has little to no lag whatsoever! However, the server would occasionally run out of ram and shut down, most certainly because of the 200+ mods. I contacted support and within the hour we set up some custom jvm flags (Aikar's) and they gave me 1.5GB ram overhead on top. Now the server is running better than ever! I rarely write reviews, but WinterNode really deserves this one!

tl;dr, WinterNode has great prices, even better performance, and their support team goes above and beyond. If you are looking for a server host, I recommend trying them!

Amazing service. Other minecraft servers take forever to get around to a ticket, I got an answer to my question within 5 minutes!

As far as I have been with the host they are too good and their support is good, I have not had any problem and I hope to continue with WinterNode for a long time, I have tried many other hosts and this is the best for me without a doubt.

Great service at a good price! Used their services 6+ months without issues. They are very responsive on discord seemingly all hours of the day, I've never had to wait long to talk to someone. 10/10 Would recommend to a friend!

This is hands down the best host I have ever had. They keep their clients in the loop on the backend; are always there for help quickly (at least on the discord); and the prices are excellent for not just the server time, but the support as well. In addition to a Minecraft server, I also host a Valhiem server hosted through them and i haven't had any problems with that either!

I love it! Great customer service that is always fast and understanding and servers run amazingly! I use this server for my SMP on Twitch and YouTube and have had zero problems.

I had a server that wasn't stable, had a corrupted world data, and wasn't really running worth (@#@&) so I moved it here. They were able to identify, troubleshoot, test, and resolve the issues. My server and sanity couldn't be better.

(Please excuse me if my grammar isn't the best English isn't my first language) Absolutely wonderful host, so far I haven't had a single problem that support didn't help me resolve in a matter of minutes. The support team is super fast and they're very nice people, I haven't experienced any downtime for my Minecraft server either which was wonderful! The prices are a steal for the service and server you get so I see no real reason to hold back on WinterNode.

I recently migrated my server here and I am super happy, They made it an amazingly easy process and were very quick to change configs to setup my server.

Genuinely great hosting service, some functions of the server gui seem to have been removed for some reason, but everything you need to run and manage a server is right there in a semi-user friendly interface! Prior experience running a server is beneficial but not neccisary (the gui can be complicated,).All things considered this service is amazing for previous server owners, and it's pretty good for everyone else too, it just might take a bit of googling to learn it. Highly recommend.

It's the best hostings I ever got, if you are going to pay for any other cheap hostings, don't do that. Buy winternode, they give you what they say, they are better than other famous hostings that just advertise and advertise. In just 3 words, this is amazing.
