Our wine tour with Wineland Tour was probably one of the best experiences we had in Santorini. And it seems we found not only great wine, but also new friends ❤️

We met Ioanna and Yiannis, who made this day truly special. They are such warm, open and genuine people. With them, you simply don’t feel like a tourist — it feels like you’ve known each other for years, just meeting for a glass of wine and talking about everything. And honestly, we really did talk about everything 😄

We learned so much about winemaking in Santorini, the local grapes and, of course, tasted some wonderful wines.

And watching the sunset with a glass of wine in hand… Some things just can’t be put into words. You have to experience it yourself.

Ioanna and Yiannis, thank you for this beautiful day, your hospitality, and for making us feel like we were spending time with dear old friends. That is something truly special

Our tour guide and sommelier Yiannis was friendly and had a great way of passing along information about winemaking and the Santorini wine history. We went from complete newbies to knowing our way around wine and figuring out wine pairing.

We had an exceptional day touring Santorini with Yiannis. His communication and planning was excellent and from the moment we met him, it was clear that he wasn’t just a guide reciting facts… he genuinely loves the island, has deep local knowledge, history, and connections throughout the community.

One of the highlights was lunch at Savvas Popeye, a fantastic local seafood restaurant that we never would have found on our own. It was packed with locals rather than tourists, and the food was outstanding.

While Yiannis was happy to show us Santorini’s iconic sights, he also knew exactly how to avoid the worst of the crowds. His understanding of cruise ship schedules, tour bus movements and peak visitor times meant we were able to enjoy places like Oia and capture those classic Santorini photos without being swallowed by the masses. That local knowledge made a huge difference to our experience.

Throughout the day, Yiannis shared insights into the island’s history, culture, geology and daily life. He seemed to know people wherever we went, which added a personal touch and made us feel like we were seeing the real Santorini rather than just the postcard version.

We covered a huge amount of the island without ever feeling rushed, and Yiannis struck the perfect balance between guiding, informing and giving us time to explore and enjoy each location.

Perfect day in Santorini! Gianni’s was so accommodating and listened to what we wanted to do. Could not have asked for a better day!

It was a great experience! He really took his time showing us around and giving us different options. Very friendly and knowledgable and I recommend everyone to seek his assistance. It will definitely be the highlight of your trip.
