I was happy with wimdu in previous years, but this year the place we stayed at was appalling & unfit for anyone to reside in. We were very upset & two of us had health problems because of our accomodation

Booked months ahead of our holiday and the process was very easy. Web site good. However our host had to withdraw the apartment at short notice and Wimdu could have been a bit quicker off the mark in helping us find an alternative. I had to ask for suggestions as there wasn't much time to trawl through the web site again for a midsummer vacancy. Fortunately one of Wimdu's suggestions worked out well for us. A quicker response would have saved us some worry.

Easy platform to find good price appartements in big cities

We used Wimdu for our accommodation on a rail trip to Salzburg, Vienna, Bratislava, Prague and Berlin.
We had a great holiday - no problems with accommodation. All the places were different but all worked well for us. In two places we had a private room in the owner's own home - in both cases the owners were really friendly and helpful.
I'd recommend Wimdu to anyone who wants good value accommodation and would like a change from faceless hotels.

As a host, I experienced service from few similar providers like Wimdu. Unfortunately the most user unfriendly experience comes to Wimdu. I registered my property on the site two weeks ago and until this point it has not been listed. I appreciate the company has its own due diligence check progress. However the procedure is taking longer than it’s competitors. Meantime hosts are missing out opportunities.

Secondly, I had impression that the company service team does not have adequate knowledge with its own product as I am offered contradictory information.

I am not fully confident with Wimdu. I shall seek alternatives rather to wish my list to be published with Wimdu anytime soon

From a host point of view, Wimdu provides poor service

I have used Wimdu over many years and for five separate trips over that time. I have never had the slightest problem with the any of the processes whether it be the administration,booking process or with any of the hosts who have all given great service. The website is easy to use and all the apartments I have booked have been exactly as described and as shown in the photos of each apartment.
No hesitation in thoroughly recommending Wimdu.

Ganz mieser Airbnb abklatsch mit gleich hohen Gebühren aber katastrophalem Service und Unternehmensgebahrungen. Zahlungsprobleme und ständige Versuche Gäste sowie Gastgeber hinters Licht zu führen. Versteckte Gebühren usw.

Everything happened just as promised. I will use Wimdu again for sure!

Excellent “Home away from Home” app

Easy to use with no problems that I’ve had with another “home” rental company. House was as described and cost was what it said! No hidden extras

Easy booking system - system kept up to date re. vacancies, unlike many other sites. Great accommodation and wonderful holidays - thank you.

I’d have given five stars but some of the apartment details and description weren’t too clear. In the event the apartment and everything about the stay was excellent.

Overall, works fine and good to have an option for countries that don't allow airbnb, for example Cuba.

Also, if airbnb dominates (becomes a monopoly) then prices will inevitably go up.

However, really stupid annoying thing about Wimdu is that you can't modify your booking, for example change dates. This is very straightfoward with airbnb so why Wimdu makes it so difficult is beyond me.

My experience was great.
First time user of Wimdu, all worked out as I had hoped. No hesitation in recommending them to anyone, which I have.
