Very responsive and good VFM
Having decided to bite the bullet, it was opportune that I was contacted by W1G to see if I would be interested in advertising my business through them. The package is good value, incorporating web and targeted ads in a local golf course (so, higher net worth individuals likely to see the ads), plus the networking opportunities which cover the whole country, and many other benefits.
Although it was a big chunk of money for a small startup, being able to spread the cost in the short term meant I could have a professional campaign over 27 months. Now to see what sort of ROI I can get, but given the impressive artwork produced within a few days, I'm optimistic eyes will be caught...

Under no circumstances trust this company with your promotional spend. We sponsored a local golf club, they failed to create the campaign, failed to show it, promote or ensure it was visible at any of the locations agreed and failed to respond to any complaint. They then auto renewed the contract despite knowing we were unhappy. Avoid at all costs

It’s disappointing that you carried out your threat to voice your displeasure on social media about the service that you have received without providing me with the information, nor opportunity, to discuss it with you first. We have asked for you to explain this and provide supporting evidence which you haven’t. Therefore, I am sure you will appreciate our right to respond and provide you with the evidence on a public forum especially given the tone of your responses and the serious nature of the language used.
Firstly, your contract stated that you would make payment when your advert went live which you did. You didn’t lose out on any time given the amendments made to your contract at your request at the outset. You also signed-off your artwork (see below) and we sent you these links on 9th May 2019 as proof of your advertising.

You paid to have this artwork developed for you by our design team which can be used for any other marketing you wish to undertake outside, and beyond, the dates of the contract with ourselves. By signing it off you are confirming that you were happy with it otherwise further amends would have been made to reach that point.
I have also checked to see if you were on-boarded following sign-up. This provided you with further information about the package and a Welcome Pack will have been posted too. I can see that you received all 4 of the on-boarding emails which were as follows and the Welcome Packs were sent by 1st class post:
1) Welcome to Your Golf Sponsorship Package – sent on 11/01/19 at 08.07
2) Artwork for Your Whole In 1 Golf Ads – sent on 14/01/19 at 08.04
3) Networking Dates & Venues – sent on 15/01/19 at 08.13
4) How to Make the Most of Your Package Benefits – sent on 16/01/19 at 08.16
None of the emails were opened but we can’t discount that they ended up in your spam folder. Perhaps you can check if your folders go that far back? Additionally on 10/01/19 you received an email confirming receipt of your deal, the artwork brief and the invoicing procedure.
You also met me at a networking event and following that we sent you pictorial evidence of the TVs at the club and payment was made later that month and a receipt sent. I also discussed holding an event at your premises with you. You never took me up on the offer.
Throughout the term of the contract we have kept you, and all other clients, up to date with news, suggestions, hints and tips with regular newsletters and networking invites. These have been sent to the email address provided. Looking at the analytics these have all been received with an open rate of 41.4% recorded on our system.
Your golf allocation is registered at the club on the back-end system that we provide them with so they can verify any corporate partner bookings and amend the golf allowance as and when it is used. It looks like no golf has been amended so either you haven’t played, or if you have, the club hasn’t amended their records. I can ask the club to verify this if required.
After we made contact with you about the impending renewal, you stated about how unhappy you were with the service and that you would not be renewing. We asked why and if you could forward any information to support your claim which you haven’t provided to date and nor can we find any correspondence from you since approving your artwork/making payment. I ask again if you have anything to the contrary please send it directly to me.
At this point you also said you had sent us a letter of your intention to terminate dated 8th January 2021. I stated that we hadn’t received this and asked for a copy. You didn’t send a copy of the letter dated 8th January but instead sent the contents of that letter on a separate word document. If you sent the original letter recorded delivery, or by signature upon receipt, please can you provide evidence?
Regardless, it didn’t provide the necessary notice period even working on the artwork go-live date so I again invited discussion at which point you reiterated your threat to post about us on various social media channels and the “scam.” And sadly that’s where we are and I am still none the wiser as a result.
As always I am happy to discuss and keen to understand if you used elements of your package to market and promote your business to make a ROI– you know my details.

Really not what they say you’ll get from it.
Artwork and set up seemed great, but no one looks at the 3D flyover, it’s not on the TVs at all!

Scam company, make sure you avoid!
Scam company, I work for a national hotel chain, and have had hundreds of emails from this company through, is it usual practice to email individual premises in a national company for advertising contracts?
No, it's not. This is a fraud scheme, please use common sense and do research before your like one of the other poor souls on here leaving reviews on being ripped off. It's quite clear all of the 5* reviews are fake. These people are professional fraudsters, and know how to trick you into seeming 'real'.
Also, in the email, 24x4 pack of golf balls worth £2,400 included in the contract? Do you expect anyone to believe golf balls are worth, in essence, £25 EACH?
Strongly recommend not to click the 'unsubscribe' link included in their email as it may lead to phishing or a virus, just simply report the email as a phishing attack, and block the sender. The fact they try to get as many people through this site to click the unsubscribe link and claims it works fine only backs that up.
Use your brains and common sense, and don't be so easily parted from your money from people that don't know an honest days living in their lives, and would rather take from everyone else.

I would usually say thank you for your review but clearly you have issues with us. Without knowing who you are it’s hard to comment but you seem to have made some fairly bold and damaging statements on the back of receiving a marketing email(s). So let’s address these.
Firstly, it’s not a scam. We have developed this business from scratch and worked hard to build up a portfolio over 500 golf clubs and 6000 corporate partners in 10 years.
I can assure you that none of our positive reviews are fake and we are happy for the negative ones to be in the public domain as there is nothing to hide. This only helps with anyone performing due diligence and we can answer any queries accordingly to put minds at rest.
Likewise there is no phishing as to be perfectly frank we have much better things to do like servicing our clubs and clients in the face of a global pandemic and more importantly that would be illegal. We really aren’t that deep. If you don’t want to receive an email you unsubscribe. That’s it and we hold no other information.
Yes it’s incredible value for money - the golf allowance is agreed with the clubs who receive our product free. That’s our model so whilst not providing any conflict of interest to the clubs we can service our clients with an allowance spread over 2 years with tee times subject to availability. Furthermore, the golf is very rarely used collectively so it’s a comfortable fit for clubs to accommodate.
We work with several large hotel chains both as golf club and corporate partner clients where marketing decisions and budgets have been made on a more localized and regional level.
If you want to reveal who you are we will unsubscribe you on your behalf if you don’t trust it and you will never hear from us again. It really is that simple.

Not again!
I've left feedback about this outfit before and I thought they'd taken my business email address off their email lists. However they've started sending the same rubbish under Pinnacle Media Partnerships.
You are essentially the same company! I nor my business have signed up to you at any time. You, through Trust Pilot, promised to remove the email address from your mailing list. You haven't done a good job because I'm back and fed up.
This time make sure you remove the domain that you are spamming!

Poor Communication
We are signed up to the company for 24 months, emailed them several times to get some information, check on adverts however not a single response. Before signing up there was email after email from them and constant phone calls as soon as you sign the contract they are not interested. 10 days since my last follow up no response yet.

We don’t know who you are based on the single name in this review, so if you want to contact me on experience@w1g.co, we can discuss this further.
Our contracts are not a trap. As per other reviews on this site, and for transparency, we ask everyone to read the contract and the terms and conditions before signing. We highlight the offer (at the very top of the contract) and the relevant clauses.
By signing the contract you are confirming that you have read and understood them and are happy to enter into the agreement.
I hope that people performing pre-contractual due diligence read this review so there is no ambiguity. We provide you with 18 months to make the decision whether or not you want to continue which is ample time to ensure you use it and that it works for you (or not).
