Wells & Mercer claims to be a New York based company, but it is actually based in China. I purchase a dress from Wells & Mercer, and everything about the dress was misrepresented - cheap shiny fabric, plastic buttons, and inaccurate sizing. Wells & Mercer does not make it easy to return for a refund - they want you to pay to ship it back to China (not New York) with insurance and tracking required. Tags must be attached, but it had no tags on the garment when it arrives. IT IS A FRAUD AND A SCAM.

Saw their ad on social media, which should have been a flag. Found their website and it looked legit. Ordered a jumper in two sizes because the sizing chart didn’t make sense. They have a policy against this apparently. Received the product after nearly a month. Product wasn’t as advertised. The fit was not even close (think pillow case with a neck hole and the front that was supposed to be embroidered was an iron on plastic. When contacted for return they did everything they could to not accept the return until we threatened filing a claim with the credit card company. Then only wanted to refund one. Trash offshore company. AVOID.

Ok so I ordered the bohemian harem jumpsuit only to be very unhappy with. Tissue paper material and the so called embroidery is an iron one that was already peeling. So contacted so called company. They wanted pictures and why I was unhappy. Sent. Then I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute. They made a provisional credit back to my account and contacted that company. In the mean time that company sent me a message and said they would credit me 20% back. I said there is no way, I want all my $ as this is fraud and false advertisement and I was contacting the BBB. I also said that I would not spend one dime on sending that piece of garbage back. They finally credited my account back the FULL amount. So you can get your $ back-contact your CC company and file a dispute.
But now I’ve learned, look at reviews of these places FIRST before you order anything.

Do not order from this company. I wish I had read the reviews before purchase. The reviews are totally accurate. The item I received is nothing like the item pictured on the website. Quality is very poor. The return process has been a nightmare. The offer 10, 20 and the. 30% discount to keep the item. If you still want to proceed with the return they send you an address in China with many steps you have to follow exactly. Not worth the effort or headache. This company is such a scam and I’m embarrassed that I fell for it. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Absolutely the worst experience. The product is junk and you cannot return the products.

I ordered the Elizabeth button front midi dress. The quality is poor and it is not denim. It took a month to receive and was impossible to return. They kept trying to offer me 10% or 20% to keep it, and when I refused they finally sent me a return address in China and told me that if customs forms, etc weren't filled out exactly right they wouldn't honor the refund. They also said it would be weeks before I saw a refund. I finally agreed to 30% back, but of course have seen nothing yet. Super shady business, definitely NOT in US.

Buyer Beware!! I don’t usually order clothing online but the advertisement for the Wren Bohemian Harem Jumpsuit was so great I gave it a try. It arrived and I am extremely disappointed. First, the quality of material is extremely poor. Second the advertised “embroidery” design was merely an iron on appliqué. I don’t think this item would last one wash! They advertised it to be an original price of $232.99 with a sale bringing it to $69.96. The item isn’t worth $10. Complete false advertisement and I would never recommend ordering from this company. Additionally, the item comes from China even though the company name suggested it was in New York! Total rip off!

Do not buy from this company. They ship from China and the product isn't anything like what the description of the item it. Then if you want a refund, they offer you 10% back. If you want to return the item depending on the weight it will cost, you over $55.00 to return the item for a full refund. What a scam!!

I’m very unhappy with this whole purchase and experience. First off the sizing was very inaccurate. Second… the dress/product is very thin cheap fabric… poor quality, and over-priced. And lastly… the customer service Stinks! It takes days for you to respond… you don’t answer my questions… just repeat your “script” and have not offered an address to return the product and get my money back. Your only solution has been to charge me MORE money and send me another poor quality dress I cannot wear or use. I don’t wear a 3xl or 4xl but according to the sizing of the dress you sent I would need a 4xl. You
don’t have that! So… you got your money… for your overpriced product… and I have a dress I can’t use… will have to give away… because I could never get that price for the cheap dress you sent.
You have NO SUPPORT. I Don’t know how you can call this SUPPORT.

Ordered from them. Tracking kept telling me “no shipping info”. Kept asking them why I can’t track my order. They just kept sending me the same email with the tracking link that had no info. Still haven’t received my order. Scam company. Reporting to the authorities

I ordered the Bohemian Wren Jumpsuit and was unpleasantly surprised when I received the item. Description stated “Artisan Embroidered Bodice”. It was screen printed on front and back. Material was low quality. Suspenders fail to attach securely because there’s just a sewn space to feed hardware into-there’s not button to hook onto. Sending it back.
