Extremely poor service and can’t rely on the medication being delivered on time.
The pharmacy told us that the medication was in stock and would be delivered in 3 days. We heard nothing for 10 days and when we called to cancel the order we were old that it just shipped today and we will receive in in 3 days. All told, about 2 weeks after it was ordered. No heads up to the customer, no reimbursement of the charge—just that they have a no refund policy. I would recommend against using this pharmacy.
DO NOT PAY FOR OVERNIGHT SHIPPING
DO NOT PAY FOR OVERNIGHT SHIPPING - took 4 days to arrive. Paid for standard shipping for second order (since their doses don’t last long enough) and it took 1 day extra for $20 less.
Script not as effective & SLOW shipping
The script from here only lasted half as long long in between doses, (maybe why it's half the price of what I used to pay through my vet), think they forgot to add the sedation bc that crap isnt working. Had to add 2 other meds bc this compound isn't as effective as what I used to get from my vet. 2 day ship took a week to get here, no refund. Hopefully the next batch will be better, won't be late and it actually works or I'll be finding a new pharmacy. Hopefully it won't kill my dog in the meantime bc your script is sub par.
Not to be trusted
In the last couple of years, Wedgewood pharmacy has gone downhill quickly and dramatically. I received an order in early February that was on autoship to be delivered in September. I have yet to see a refund or even a response to the email that I sent. I would love to say that this is the first problem that I have had with Wedgwood, but that is far from the truth. One of the last auto ship orders that I had was late by 7 days. It was an important medication, and the dog had to go without until it was delivered.
My calls to customer service have not gone well at all. I do not recommend this pharmacy. My vet clinic uses it, and I am currently speaking with them about switching since I manage a rescue for elderly dogs and need a lot of compounded prescriptions.
There are far better compounding pharmacies out there.
Here's a radical idea
Here's a radical idea: instead of telling a long time customer they can't find your script because of system changes-,
" why don't you call back "
How about saying your sorry or perplexed & you'll get this solved & call you ( the customer) back later today...
I changed to another pharmacy. Wedgewood is more marketing than substance.
Bad system and extra charges
I have been receiving my cat's methimazole liquid compounded prescription from Wedgewood for almost a year, and unfortunately, there has been an issue every single time she needs a refill. I signed up for auto refill but in the past, they wouldn't contact me vet to request refills or tell me I needed to follow up with the vet. So when I was getting low, I'd call customer service and they would say I should call my vet. Im not sure what their protocol is for contacting vets, but my vet would say she approved the medication refill but Wedgewood would say she never did. There were a few times I'd have to pay expedited shipping fees so my cat didn't run out of medication. Their online portal also doesn't work. I created an online account but when I tried to login, it would say the request couldn't be processed due to technical issues. I'd call customer service and they would just say its a known problem...it has been months now and I still can't login or reset my password. They also would only send one syringe, which over time stops working well and gets sticky from using over and over and every time I'd need to call to request more. The final straw was this last order. I received an email from Wedgewood that even though this prescription is on auto refill, action was needed and I needed to request a refill. Learning from the past, I called my vet and confirmed they did not have a prescription refill request. My vet recommended I place an order for the refill with Wedgewood so a prescription request can be sent to them.
I called Wedgewood and requested a refill through the phone automated system. I got an email the next day that an order shipped and the total charged to my credit card.
However, two days later, I received another email that a new order was created order for the same prescription, methimazole, and my credit card was charged the prescription plus shipping fees. I didn't request another refill, but when I saw this email and tried to call customer service, because I am on the west coast and customer service is on the east coast, the customer service phone line was closed. I emailed their customer service and even attached screenshots of all the emails telling me to contact my vet and the duplicate orders, and they just said there was nothing they could do and they cant cancel the orders. I called customer service Monday morning and thankfully the lady on the phone was understanding and asked her supervisor for help. They said they'd refund the cost of one of the prescription orders but not shipping costs. I had to just accept that, even though its their system's fault, not mine as the email literally told me to contact my vet and ask for a refill. I told customer service that was the last time I'd use their pharmacy given the history of mistakes on every order and the customer gets charged instead of the company taking responsibility for a faulty system.
They are impossible to reach by phone…
They are impossible to reach by phone because they put you on hold for hours. Quick tip -- take advantage of the callback feature because it'll call you back immediately --you do not even have to wait until your place in line. The system doesn't work right so you become the next caller.
Their website makes no sense- it is impossible to use and it gives you no way of reaching them other than by phone. Their chat bot is always turned off even though they invite you to use it in all of their FAQs. They do not offer emails and they are not open on Sundays. And as I said trying to call them means putting your life on hold for hours.
I have spent weeks trying to get my account put on auto refill. Every time I call and say I'm not allowed to do it I'm blocked they say OK I'll do it for you and then the next time I look at my account it is not on auto fill anymore.
Finally for some reason they added a message somewhere that made it plain that the reason I was not on auto fill was because some obscure checkbox had not been checked in my account. There is a tiny little check box that you do not see that says you have to tell them that your credit card is authorized to be the default credit card. This is an idiotic and unnecessary extra step. Look for that tiny little box in your account settings if you don't get put on auto refill. If you are not on auto refill, you will not get your prescription in time because it takes them a full two weeks or more to to get your medications that are trying to save your animals's life. They obviously feel no sense of urgency. I paid $17 for expedited shipment but did not receive anything in an expedited amount of time. I am still waiting after almost 2 weeks. Your dog is dying of cancer and they cannot possibly get this to you in a timely fashion. I don't understand why the vets are in favor of this pharmacy because they are absolutely terrible at everything they do. I have trouble believing that the medication when it arrives is going to be correct. I highly recommend if your vet tells you that they want to use Wedgewood ask them who else you can use because these guys are awful.
1 Terrible Experience, 1 Unsatisfactory - Go elsewhere
Note: I write many more positive reviews than negative ones. We have had two experiences with medications formulated through Wedgewood for our macaw. The first was not satisfactory because the taste, although sweetened, was nasty compared to MixLab's version. We went back to Mixlab (which has wonderful customer service). The second experience has been terrible. Our vet first contacted Wedgewood 4 weeks ago about whether a formulation was possible. We soon heard back from our vet that it was and were told we would get a call. We never did, in fact they have never initiated a call to us. We have had a total of 6 calls, each one with a new pharmacy tech or customer service rep or manager. The call times were 26 min, 26 min, 12 min, 23 min, 21 min and today 4 min when I admit I hung up in disgust. Each time they promised it was in process but would take some time to formulate, The 4th and 5th call promised the formulation was being expedited. Today's call said it was back to a 4-5 day process. We will see if we ever get it and what the quality will be -- meanwhile our macaw continues to suffer from a blocked nasal passage.
Wedgewood delays on delivery and refunds.
Wedgewood charged me for a prescription that they did not deliver. I have been waiting weeks for the refund. My dog got sick because they did not fill and autofill on time and did not advise me that it was going to be late though they admitted it was their fault when I called them. They have repeatedly tried to get me to continue my autoship and change the date so that it always came on time if there was a delay. This argument is ridiculous as the medical script is fixed and cannot be changed so that I always have a pill reserve. It is their job to get me the script on time. I have switched to Chewey, who is also less expensive and always on time.
Same issues as other reviewers
3/17/26 UPDATE: I've started ordering Rx's from Chewy instead, and it's been like a breath of fresh air. Chewy is now offering a wide range of meds, including compounded ones and even tiny tablets. Wedgewood is in my rearview.
PRIOR REVIEW: Same issues as other reviewers. Currently waiting for a Rx they say will take 15-16 days to ship. My cat will run out before then, so will have to get vet to fill (assuming they will, in spite of an Rx already having been ordered?) and then drive the considerable distance to pick it up. This after they gave a ridiculous reason for refusing to fill the existing refill and requiring a new Rx. Many other issues and admin errors with multiple Rx's, and customer service seems unknowledgeable and now always has to put me on an extensive hold and ask someone else. Makes me concerned that the issues could extend to medication errors as well.
They used to have good customer service, but now it is consistently terrible. If the problems are as a result of acquiring another company, someone in management seriously messed up in planning and execution and expanded at the expense of their existing business/customers, as this is likely to seriously injure the business for years to come (assuming they survive).
Fantastic Customer Service Team
The young woman answering the phone was very sympathetic and kind when I told her my prescription had been shipped somewhere that I was not sure of. She immediately started to help me and I did not wait long. She transferred me to Mike, who is a supervisor in the department and he not only shipped my order free of charge but chose a different delivery service to make sure it got there. Wedgewood has a fantastically efficient and kind customer service team!
6 Week Wait for Compounded Prescriptions in 2026
A compounded prescription Wedgewood notified me of on 1/12/26 that is in process to fill will not be sent out until sometime in February, based on a conversation with management there yesterday. This is completely unacceptable; this is my cat's thyroid medication, she can't run out of it.
The manager I spoke to said "we recently acquired alot of new business and we don't have the staff to fill all the orders. There's no way I can expedite this." Usually an order is filled within 5 to 7 days and they expect their customer to wait up to 6 weeks now?
I told the manager that this is not a leisure item, this isn't a pair of shoes. It's prescription medication and without it, it's a serious problem. Wedgewood acquired new business at the expense of it's existing customer base. Disgusting way to run a compounding pharmacy.
If I could give it 0 stars I would
If I could give it 0 stars I would, they are so slow my pet has been without her medication for almost 2 weeks now and it still says processing on my account this is the first time I've gotten a medication filled with them and I don't like this at all, my parrot needs hormone medication and I usually got it within 2 to 3 days from my vet and for some reason they've switched to this Pharmacy and it's the absolute pits, the worst place to get meds for your animals. Highly dont recommend..
They are completely incompetent
They are completely incompetent. products on auto-ship do not ship. Promises on delivery dates are false. Staff will tell you anything to get you off the phone but all they do is lie to you. Disgraceful company.
NOT Reliable
I have one compounded medication with this pharmacy that is SUPPOSEDLY on auto-fill. The last 4 refills did not arrive - I ran out. It seems each month I have to call and tell Wedgewood I have 2 geriatric dogs on gabapentin, and I need it promptly every month, which would indicate work should begin on it every 3 weeks so that I have it on time. This month, once again, no prescription, no communication re the refill, zip, zero. This prescription is not cheap. I will be looking for a new pharmacy. Wedgewood is simply not reliable.
After several bad experiences with this…
After several bad experiences with this pharmacy endangering my pets health I had to switch to another compounding pharmacy. Orders delayed for weeks and weeks. Promised shipping dates delayed multiple times and even cancelled just days before promised shipping date and after weeks of being delayed. When your pet requires medication you can only be so patient, and I have been extremely patient over and over again. Techs recommend giving 3 weeks for med to process and ship, but even that is not close to enough time. Packages have not only been extremely late but also lost. Paying for expidited doesn’t help. One day shipping items have taken several days to ship, and when you call there’s always an excuse “running behind” “call your vet and ask for something else” This place cannot be trusted especially if your loved animal requires certain compounded medication daily. They’ll fail you over and over. I am not one to write reviews but after giving them too many chances I have to let anyone who loves their animal and depends on medication on time for it to stay healthy- DO NOT use this pharmacy. They are lazy, they do not care, and they are full of excuses and broken promises. My vet will no longer use them, that says enough!
Trash!!
I’ve had a very similar experience with Wedgewood as many others have shared. My dog has a serious medical condition that requires medication to be given on a strict schedule. I communicated well in advance with both my veterinarian and Wedgewood Pharmacy to ensure the prescription would be refilled before running out. My veterinarian completed their part promptly. However, after I submitted the order through Wedgewood’s online system and selected expedited shipping, I was informed that they were backed up and that my dog’s medication would be delayed by nearly a month, with no options or solutions offered. This was extremely concerning given the medical necessity of the medication.
Horribly slow with filling rx
Horribly slow with filling rx. I do not understand why it takes up to 15 days to get my pet's medication! I am currently looking for another vet pharmacy because the hassle I've encountered with Wedgewood is not worth my money!!!! Look somewhere else for your precious pet's meds.
Terrible
Worst. Company. Ever.
I placed an order on December 9th and, weeks later, still had no meaningful update. There is no proactive communication whatsoever; the only way to get information is to call them directly. I ended up doing this while out of the country, which in itself is unreasonable for a paid prescription order.
When I finally reached customer service, I was told the medication would ship via standard UPS, that a tracking number technically exists, but that they could not tell me when the package would actually ship. Their advice? “Just keep checking the tracking number until it updates.” That was the extent of the help offered.
This medication was needed before I left the country. Instead, I’m now likely waiting until after Christmas, putting my animal’s care at risk. The most frustrating part: after paying $85 for the medication and shipping, the customer service representative told me my only option at this point was to contact my vet and pay to have it refilled somewhere else if I wanted it sooner.
So to summarize:
Terrible shipping timelines
No transparency or status updates
Unhelpful, dismissive customer service
Zero accountability after taking payment
This will be the last time I ever use Wedgewood Pharmacy. If you care about your pet and want reliability, communication, or basic competence, I strongly advise using literally any other pharmacy.
Complete lack of transparency
Complete lack of transparency. HORRIBLE customer service.
