Selling your car should (and usually does) take about an hour. I see that you arrived at 12:46 PM and we cut you a check at 2:25 PM. That's too long and we wanted to make it right as we know your time is valuable. Patrick, your local Area Manager, did reach out to try and find a way to provide a more positive customer service outcome. I'm sorry we couldn't find a way to give you a better outcome when we spoke.

We would have been happy to honor your online valuation estimate but I see from the information you provided online on 12/2/2023 at 7:15 PM the Lexus was disclosed as having no physical or mechanical issues. Like all buyers, we carry out checks on the car before we make an offer and there were items of damage that were not disclosed online. We provide tools on the website for you to tell us about any mechanical or cosmetic issues and recommend every customer use these tools to avoid any surprises at the branch. We always carry out a professional appraisal and any undisclosed damage will reduce the final offer.
Despite some issues with the Lexus I'm pleased we were able to cut you a check which was close to the online estimate with some small adjustments for the vehicle's overall condition and are sorry that our appraisal of the Lexus was misinterpreted as anything but a professional, transparent, and fair appraisal of the vehicle and its age, mileage and condition.
I hope we can reconnect and find a way to address your concerns but thank you sincerely, in any case, for choosing to sell to us.

The experience was fine. I didn't have any particular expectations. The agent (sorry, I forgot his name) was friendly and professional.
Even when I peppered him with questions, he explained the process fully. It did take a bit longer than I thought it would. I still felt everything was dealt with fairly and openly so I don't mind it taking a little longer.
