Whilst they can be very good, I personally felt that my toddler did not learn much due to very frequent class cancellations which resulted in excessive gaps within the classes. I would expect some improvements given the cost they charge.

My toddler learns new songs each week. He adores his teacher. These lessons are so much more than just swimming they help all areas of development

My son has been attending these swimming classes and we’ve had a really good experience so far. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and great with kids, which has really helped build his confidence in the water. The lessons are well-structured but still fun, so he actually looks forward to going each time. It’s been lovely to see his progress. The only problem is there is no proper changing room for toddlers. Floor is always wet can't change him there. There is no proper and private shower room for mums. Sometimes its really hard to manage.

We absolutely love our lessons as a family. Jen is fantastic.

We have also recently changed classes and all staff have been exceptionally helpful in accommodating us!

Our son joined Water Babies just before turning 4, prior to this he wasn’t confident in the water at all but since only having a few lessons his confidence has grown greatly and he really looks forward to each lesson. The teacher is amazing and tailors the group lessons to the individual children, she is very engaging.

Holly is an excellent instructor. Classes are well structured and fun for the kids . Very focused on safety int he water . Definitely recommend:-)

Positive: Waterbabies classes have been useful to increase water confidence - but having been to different locations for classes, there is a huge difference between instructors as to how they approach/ communicate with babies. Instructors at ravensbourne location make the class more fun and have a very positive/ smiley approach with babies.
Negative: swimming pool at Romford brewery can be cold for babies- often see babies shivering through the class. Also put off by the way payments are dealt with for classes. They take payments in advance and if you cannot go to a class either due to sickness or planned holiday they do not refund the money or use that money towards payment in the next month. Instead you build up tokens which you csn use to book extra classes. This is not ideal if you cannot make any of the other class timings they offer in the week.

I love the teachers. I think they are doing a fantastic job. However the administration needs to do better. My boy hasn’t gone swimming in 2 months because of one excuse or the other. They need to find a better solution to the problems they face with pools rather than giving excuses all the time. The 3 stars is for Daisy as we love her and she is an amazing teacher.

We have been using Waterbabies Surrey North & South for our daughter for over 3 years. Jackie has been such a fantastic teacher over this time and been so patient with our daughter who has come on leaps and bounds from a nervous swimmer to now swimming independently and doesn’t want the lessons to end!
I would definitely recommend Jackie & Waterbabies and we will be returning with our little boy soon!

My daughter has been going to water babies for 6 months now and thoroughly enjoys it. She has gained lots of confidence and has improved in her swimming ability greatly. As a family we find a great disappointment that partners are not allowed to attend (even though there is plenty of space for partners to sit on chairs at the side of the pool as this is a big milestone that the partners won’t get to see). There is 1 female and 1 male changing room which all parents have to share with only 1 changing table in each male and female changing rooms. This gets very busy and if you are not 20mins early to your session then you must resort to changing your baby on the floor, which is covered in chlorine and I imagine verrucae also. The swimming instructor Lucy is fantastic!!! She really is talented and we couldn’t ask for more from an instructor and makes the sessions fun and safe, thank you Lucy. Overall my daughter really enjoys the swimming but for £80 per month the facilities and family inclusivity could really improve.

I started with waterbabies with both of my children at 8 weeks old. My eldest, now 3 and a half, loves the water and asks almost every day if it is a swimming day. My youngest just turned one, and I get the biggest smiles from him in the pool. It's become a happy place for the entire family to enjoy and that's all thanks to waterbabies

We’ve absolutely loved our experience with Water Babies. From the very beginning, the classes have struck the perfect balance between being fun and genuinely educational. Every activity feels purposeful, with a clear focus on building water confidence and embedding essential water safety skills from such an early age.
A huge part of what makes the classes so special is our coach, Tahlia. She has an incredible way with the little ones, calm, patient, and always encouraging. What really stands out is how she takes the time to explain the “why” behind each activity. That extra insight makes everything feel more meaningful as a parent, and it’s especially reassuring when doing things like submerging your baby underwater. It turns what could feel stressful into something you understand, trust, and even enjoy.
I really appreciate how consistently water safety is woven into every session without taking away from the fun. It gives me real confidence that my baby is not only enjoying the water, but also learning important lifesaving skills in a supportive environment.
We couldn’t recommend Water Babies and especially Tahlia more highly!

Very good swimming instructor my baby enjoyed so much.

My son attends the Wednesday 1pm class with Jade. For many months, he would find being in the water upsetting. Jade was very patient and encouraging, and she got the balance right between keeping him involved in the lesson but not pushing him too much. He now loves swimming and spends the entire lesson smiling. I'm so grateful for Jade's patience and friendliness. She is such a wonderful teacher! I also love how she explains the reasoning behind every skill... it makes you appreciate that the Water Babies curriculum focuses on the development of their swimming and safety skills xxx
