Made an enquiry last week on a Merc GLC. Video sent over to me instantly with all records of services and other information i requested. Put down a £500 refundable deposit and booked an app to test drive. No pushy sales tactics, was left alone to look around the car and test drive alone also. Few scuffs on alloys were noticed and they sorted for me and also put me another MOT on the car so i could drive away with 12 months. Picked my car up yesterday and couldn't be happier. 10/10 from the whole team

Audi TT - perfect…

Bought an Audi TT last week from these guys, first of all the car is fantastic and was very reasonably priced. Secondly the whole team are superb to deal with, very easy to communicate with and are not pushy at all like you get at some other places. They’re very honest too as when I viewed I was told the rear number plate light wasn’t working however the new part had been ordered from Audi and was fitted for me before I picked up the car. Overall a really easy and stress free process. Would definitely go back if I ever need another car.

Car in disappointing condition - Had to cancel the purchase

We travelled a 7 hour, 325 mile round trip to collect a Ford Puma ST (VO21 PXD) for our son after paying a deposit and receiving repeated assurances from Dan that the car was in “lovely” and “beautiful” condition, with “no marks or scratches” with “he was certain there was nothing to put us off”. We were also told it had passed a 72 point check and a 100 mile test drive.

What we found on arrival was the complete opposite. Trim hanging off in two places, cracks in both rear tyres, damaged parcel shelf connectors, condensation in both rear lights, and more. These issues were obvious the moment we approached the car — certainly not something that could be missed during any genuine inspection.

The salesperson insisted everything could be fixed, but the expectation seemed to be that we would take the car in that condition and return the following weekend for repairs. After such a long journey, this was completely unreasonable. We were then offered £150 and told parts could be posted to us, with no explanation of who was expected to fit them or at whose cost.

I left my number for Dan to call so we could discuss the situation properly, but neither my son nor I received any follow up. The lack of communication only added to the frustration.

Our son did receive his deposit back, but we still lost a full day and the fuel cost — all because the car was nowhere near the condition we were promised. This may have been a one off, but it has certainly left a very poor impression, especially given the distance we travelled based on their assurances.

I therefore expect a 'keyboard warrior' response to this review, as per previous bad reviews. However, my comments above are honest and based on the true facts of the situation, with photo and video backup.

EDIT FOR SELLERS REPLY:-
Following the seller’s reply, I want to make it clear that at no point were any threats made and is disappointing that you should state this. I admit I stated that we have incurred a wasted journey and fuel costs given you stipulated that the vehicle is in 'beautiful condition' 'nothing on the car - no marks or scratches' 'nothing to put you off - I then specifically requested a phone call to discuss the matter should you so wish, yet no call ever came.

Instead, the seller chose to contact my teenage son and say, “I hope you never turn out like your father,” before hanging up on him. That behaviour speaks for itself. I am not a “keyboard warrior” — I asked for a direct conversation, but the seller avoided speaking to me and contacted my child instead.

In regard to the cost of the vehile, this was not what brought my son to this car, but the colour and low mileage - again a statement made by you that is clearly incorrect and if you got to know your customer this would have been transparent to you.

As you have referred to the tyres, the cracked and perished tyres were not the tyres that were in disscussion - so yet again incorrect facts stated by you. A MOT Definition: 'cracked tyres means they're showing signs of perishing (ageing/sun damage) and aren't yet dangerous enough for an immediate fail but need replacing soon, as cracks can deepen, compromising safety, grip, and handling, leading to a failure and potential blowout risk, so address them promptly by replacing the tyres, as repairs aren't possible'. Just for your clarity and information.

You clearly failed to carry out the necessary preparation and the advertised ‘multipoint’ inspection on the vehicle. Your own response below effectively acknowledges this. Given that, the reasonable and professional approach would have been to accept responsibility and offer a straightforward apology. That is all I was seeking.

Instead, you attempted to deflect from these issues by responding in an unprofessional manner and directing disrespect toward a potential customer who was inconvenienced entirely due to your own errors.

There’s little more to add, other than to say we clearly avoided a serious mistake. Several additional faults with the vehicle came to light, none of which were disclosed by the seller in his comments below.

To all prospective Vogue customers, we have been awaiting this review after it was threatened in our office unless we gave Stuart his fuel money, which we instantly declined. We did agree a small discount on the car and the inclusion of a two year warranty at zero cost.

First of all let me admit, there are a couple of areas we could have improved on slightly in this situation.

We had never spoken to Stuart or his son throughout negotiations, all conversation were asked to be carried out via WhatsApp and WhatsApp only.

What Stuart refers to when he says trim hanging off in two places: The wheel arch over the passenger wheel had one broken clip. Which means it was not flush to the car, a minor point which we had planned to do on the Friday before collection, however it was forgotten by our bodyshop repairer.

To confirm, one clip was broken. Had this have been any other day other than a Sunday it would have been sorted within minutes. This was sorted by 9.10am on Monday morning.

There was no broken clip for the parcel shelf, there was a missing clip, which we believe got lost during valeting of the car the day before.

This clip did nothing other than keep a string taught on the parcel shelf. It did not affect the workings of the parcel shelf, a replacement was ordered from fo the next working day for a cost of £7.50.

Would I have like these two items to have been sorted before our customer arrived, certainly without question, however we are not perfect.

As you can see we offered to send both clips to the customer and offered £150 for inconvenience towards fitting said clips (which could have been fitted by my 15 year old daughter within two minutes).

Cracking tyres: The car was supplied with an advisory free MOT, with absolute minimal wear on the outside of the tyre. It’s worth noting that Stuart’s son was asking us to change the tyres before delivery as he was not happy with the brand of tyre, which we did not agree to.

Condensation in lights: As with all new cars and LED lights, there can be minor condensation on lights, even brand new cars. As temperatures change and lights are used, condensation disappears. This is perfectly acceptable within all
Car manufacturers, a quick Google search on any forums will show any prospective buyer this is the case.

Stuart came to view the car on behalf of his sons who lived seven hours away, Stuart himself lives 3.5 hours away, I assume they travelled so to view our vehicle because it was the cheapest like for like car on the UK.

We refunded their deposit within the hour on the Sunday and parted ways.

We did not call Stuart after this, as we are luckily busy enough to choose the customers we wish to deal with. Some of the best deals you will ever do are the deals you don’t do.

It’s worth noting the exact car was collected 24 hours later, by a very happy customer, who will later be leaving a review on the same vehicle who was absolutely delighted with the car.

To confirm I do wish we had rectified the two missing clips before collection and apologies these £7.50 fixes were missed before collection, we learn and move on.

I am at the same time more than happy we chose not to continue with the sale to “Karen”. We will never be bribed into “compensation” for the sake of a one star review.

I am happy to show any prospective customer the photos of Stuart’s “issues” and CCTV footage of the threats of a bad review in our office which will all appear on our social media pages in the near future.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Vogue again.

Misleading Sale, Hidden Charges, and No Aftercare

I purchased a car from this dealer and travelled over 200 miles to collect it, trusting that everything was in order and that the vehicle came with a 3-month warranty.

What I wasn’t told until after making the 12-hour round trip and being handed paperwork on-site, was that the warranty was “return to base only.” This meant any repairs had to be done by them — despite them knowing I lived 200 miles away. This crucial detail was not disclosed in advance and only became clear after I got home and reviewed the documents.

To make matters worse, there was a fault with the driver’s side window that began on the drive home and has since worsened. When I asked for support under the warranty, I was told I’d have to return the vehicle to them — completely impractical given the distance. They refused to authorise or reimburse a local repair.

On top of that, they added an admin charge of around £160, which again, was not mentioned until paperwork was in front of me. When I later questioned this and asked for a refund, their friendly attitude vanished and the tone changed completely.

In my view, this was a misleading and unfair sale, and the aftercare has been extremely disappointing.

Buyers beware — especially if you’re travelling from afar. Get every term, cost, and condition in writing before you leave home.

Unfortunately your review only shows your side of the situation, which perhaps to put weight to your argument contains a a few "untruths"

Regarding the above we ask all customers to sign form in our office on if they wish to decline or upgrade to an extended nationwide warranty. We do have your form fully signed by yourself which states your are happy to bring to car back to ourselves and do not wish to pay for a nationwide warranty.

This shows you were fully aware of the warranty terms, unlike your suggestion that you only realised when you got home.

2. Our admin fee has never been £160 its was £139 which rose to £149 at a later date.
We have a time stamped order when this was sent to your email on the day you left a deposit, apparently you never received this. You paid this at handover and later contacted us the day after saying you wish to have it refunded.
Despite you claiming it was not evident in our adverts we pointed out the all the places this was clearly shown.

These emails went on for several days and in the end we refunded to try and appease yourself. You fail to mention this was refunded in your review.

3. Despite all the emails back and forth regarding the admin fee you not once mentioned a faulty window which began on the way home. It was not until almost two months later your emailed us asking for a window to be repaired locally, when we asked for the car to be returned to us as the nationwide warranty was not purchased.

The reason you travelled 200 miles to collect a car was because it was £1600 cheaper than Autotrader retail price and the cheapest like for like car in the UK whilst presented in close to perfect condition, you also mentioned you had ready all of our previous reviews.

I believe the review is left in frustration as you did not take the offer up of a nationwide warranty, despite clearly being made aware at the time.

Honest and straightforward 👍

Within 30 minutes of sending in my enquiry on what looked like a very Rare BMW Z4, I’d received a very informative video that highlighted both the very few imperfections and the extra features I’d overlooked (Thanks Dan!!). After a very painless conversation with Kiri, I reserved with a promise that if not as described I could get my reserve back provided I actually turned up to view (very fair in my opinion). Anyhow to cut a long story short the Z4 was prepared impeccably and without any fuss or faff. Great business to buy from and they do everything and more than expected.
