With birds of different sizes visiting gardens to feed and as the larger species will often dominate bird feeders, it’s a good idea to provide at least one feeder which only smaller birds can use. The Peckish Small Bird Feeder has been created for just this purpose, with the smaller entrance holes meaning that larger species can’t get to the food, whereas smaller species such as Coal tit can. This Peckish bird feeder is suitable for straight seeds such as sunflower hearts or seed mixes like our Robin and Friends Mix. It can also be used for suet pellets. The feeder allows for easy refilling and cleaning, with a wide lid which clicks into place.

This item is a lovely well made item. I have a problem with the likes of the Magpies and pigeons shaking my feeders tipping all the bird food out on the lawn where the big birds then devour. This item looked like a great solution but I have to say the big birds still shake the seeds out. Not only that, but for some reason, my small birds don't use it. This is just my experience and I am sure it is not a general problem.
