Recently purchased an approved used Mini Clubman from York, which overall was a very positive experience.
While the small team were clearly busy dealing with other customers when I first called in, having not made any previous contact, someone soon came over and I ended up being shown round a Clubman of interest by Harry, who was very courteous and professional to deal with. After taking the car for a reasonable test drive we went through the financial costs, as I had a BMW as a likely part exchange, though I was slightly disappointed by the offer I received for it considering its condition and Vertu's BMW dealership next door, so I decided not to commit to a purchase at this time.
However, after selling the BMW elsewhere I came back to York and finalised a deal with Harry and his colleague Ben on the Clubman which went very smoothly and with flexibility with regard to collection, as we were now into the Christmas holiday period. So in the New Year I collected the Clubman, again a very straightforward process, with the car nicely prepared for collection along with a fresh MOT too.
Also worth mentioning the customer support after collection, as while still getting to know the car along with the various settings in the infomat system, I noticed the electronic service history I had been previously shown had disappeared from the service menu, so I contacted Harry and he very promptly delt with this, with the service team successfully reinstalling the missing service records remotely within a couple of hours of making the call, so no need for a trip to York, couldn't ask for more really, first class service.
Hopefully this level of customer support continues going forward as I also took out a service plan with Vertu covering the next four years or so.

Went over to York today from Scarborough with the sole intention of looking to buy a Mini full electric. We already own a Mini Countryman- petrol. We were there nice and early and parked right outside the front doors of reception. On entering I noted 2 sales assistants dealing with other members of the public. We ventured to the rear of the sales room and took a look at the Aceman. Really liked it but not one person acknowledged us so we hung around a little and looked the vehicles over until we called time as had we been acknowledged we'd of waited. We wont be going back to York, read the reviews which appeared good so we'll try Hull next week and see what response we get there. Bitterly disappointed. It would of cost nothing to say good morning from the staff on the shop floor or the person sat on a computer through the back!

We had a very good experience at the York branch of Vertu MINI BMW. We had seen the car we liked online, made an appointment to see it and we were greeted by the wonderful Cameron. Our first priority was to see whether we could get our two dogs in the back Which he anticipated and accommodated straight away. From there the process was smooth sailing. There was no pushy sales talk, no feeling of pressure, we did a test drive, decided it was an excellent car for what we wanted and at a very reasonable price. All done and dusted within a week and we are now the happy owners of a MINI Clubman Cooper Estate. We couldn’t recommend the experience highly enough.

From first enquiry, through the deal process to handover, such an excellent experience. Harry handled everything, supported by Ben. I did spill coffee on the new-car floor area but I don't think anyone noticed.
