I picked up the Islanders Savvy 35L for an eight-week trip to Europe. We are hitting nine countries and 21 cities. We travel light with a carry-on suitcase and a backpack for each person. My Veria bag replaced my old backpack I used for the past five years.

I love my old pack, it has a lot of space and features. What attracted me about the Islanders Savvy was the versatility of the space and how the bag was organized.

I am one week into the trip and it has already proved to be a good choice. When you're travelling, accessibility to your stuff is important.

The Islanders Savvy's three zip pockets on the front of the bag are perfect for headsets and cords, toothbrush and paste, body wipes and other toiletries you need when landing in new city. They side of pockets have mesh sleeves to keep things where they should and not spill out everytime you open one.

The side pouch for a water bottle is a major improvement over my old bag. I have a big bottle and the sleeve fits it perfectly. The other side offers another long zipper pocket with multiple places to store all the gadgets yoi will need from pens, to a corkscrews, laundry pens, etc.

The inside main pouch offers so much room even if you have a pair of shoes inserted from the bottom This was a big win for me because I was able to open up space in my carry-on suitcase for a few extra items. Also, I don't feel like I sacrificed space in the pack for the shoes. Other items fit neatly around them. Seriously, it's big space, but when you're carrying the bag it doesn't seem bulky. Note: The show slot is self-enclosed and keep dirt away from clothes and other items. No more disposable plastic bags to worry about. Overall, after everything was packed in it i was at just under 20 pounds (9.1kg)

Top notch customer service. I ordered a backpack and once I got it, I realized that it was a bit too big for my needs. I emailed customer service to inquire about exchanging it for a medium size of the same backpack. They promptly got back to me with detailed instructions on returning my original and explained how the process of getting my new one would go. I explained that I had an upcoming trip that I wanted the backpack for and they assured me that I’d have it in time. It arrived 3 days before my trip. They stayed in contact with me through the entire process. It’s rare to find this kind of customer service these days, so when I find it, I think I should take a few minutes and share my experience. Oh! The backpack. It’s pretty awesome as well. Love the size and the quality. Perfect for a personal item on flights.

Just got back from a 5-day ski trip and it was such a great travel bag. The durability is really impressive, especially the structure on top, and the exterior pockets are massive which made it super easy to access accessories and travel items on the go. The side clips to condense the bag are a really smart upgrade from the Islander.

Overall it's a fantastic travel bag. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a durable, well-designed backpack.

I travel almost every week and have used multiple luggage pieces from different companies. I purchase my first Veria backpack on 2025 and as today I have bought 2 more and the quality of the product is outstanding. Their Costumer Service is the best one that I have been in contact with, they answered in less than 24 hours and is a real person. Im not receiving any payment or gift for this review. This Company and their product is really good

I received my bag and after I figured out how to install the interior dividers (which only took a few minute) I checked out all off the zippers and pockets. It is an extremely well designed and solid bag. I'm sure that I will get tons of use with It. To say that I love my new bag is an understatement!

I’m beyond disappointed with my experience. I purchased a backpack from Valeria Travel less than a year ago, expecting decent quality for the price—but it’s already falling apart. There’s a stress tear right by the zipper, from completely normal use. No overpacking, no abuse—just everyday wear.

What’s worse is the response from customer service. I was told this is considered “normal wear and tear,” and they offered absolutely no solution—no replacement, no repair, nothing. That’s unacceptable for a product that hasn’t even made it a full year.

Honestly, I would have been better off buying a cheaper knockoff on Amazon at this point. At least I wouldn’t have expected quality or support.

If you’re considering buying from them, I’d strongly suggest thinking twice. A company’s true value shows when something goes wrong—and in this case, they completely dropped the ball.

My wife got me the Islander Savvy which I had been wanting for a while. She got herself the Savvy Sling, but she wanted something else. I kept the sling bag for myself and got her the Commuter Backpack.

I love using my backpack and sling bag but my wife thought the commuter backpack was too big for her so I decided to return it and get a sling bag instead.

This is where my love for this product ends. The customer service is terrible. You can only email them as there is no phone number to call, let alone a human to talk to. Email responses take at least a day. We happen to have cut the tag but still have it with the bag, and they are using this as a reason to refuse the return even though the back pack is unused. Well, my wife did try to put it on her back. I don’t really think that counts as using it.

I get that they are a small business and I’m all for supporting them, but pissing off what little customer base you have is also not good for a small business.

I would have loved to get the sling bag for my wife but I think we’ll stop buying from this company. I am not confident that they will ever take my return, so my wife will just have to learn to love her back pack (these are not cheap).

Happy to report a great customer experience. My order was back-ordered and I was given specific dates when it was expected to be shipped out. When I contacted customer support and relayed that I was hoping to use my new bag for an upcoming trip, they checked on things and helped expedite my order. The bag just arrived today, looks great and I'm happy to report that I can use for my trip. Thanks!

Really poor customer service. First, their platform converted my mailing address to shipping address when I hit PAY. So I tried to contact them. Finally sent emails that were answers the next day. Said they changed the shipping address. 5-6 days later, the item had not shipped. After another 24 hour exchange, they said the item had been out of stock but was back in and would ship “Monday or Tuesday”. Wednesday, the same thing, now shipping could be on Friday. Echoing what some others have experienced, they just kept lying about when the product would be available. I asked them to cancel and refund. They said they will. I will update this review when I get the refund.

Shame, it looks like a great product.

Absolutely Worth Every Penny!

I’ve been using my Veria Travel Savvy Duffelpack on multiple trips now, and I couldn’t be happier with it. From the moment I unpacked it, I could tell this bag was thoughtfully designed with travelers in mind. The build quality feels premium, the materials are durable, the stitching feels solid, and the overall finish looks great even after heavy use.

What I love most is how versatile and functional it is. The convertible duffel-to-backpack design makes it perfect for airports, weekend getaways, and even day-to-day use. The internal compartments are practical and roomy without feeling bulky, and I’ve been able to organize my gear (clothes, tech, toiletries, and more) with ease. It’s also surprisingly comfortable to carry even when packed full.

Another nice touch is how well the bag holds up in all kinds of weather the materials give me confidence that my stuff stays protected whether I’m in a plane cabin or walking through a light rain.

Overall, this has quickly become my go-to travel bag. Stylish, sturdy, and highly functional definitely 5 stars from me!

Ordered the Savvy Backpack and the DuffelPack. I use them every day for commuting, the gym, and when I'm flying. Great quality, and I can easily find everything I need in the organized compartments. Coming back for more!

Purchased the backpack / travel bag in December and 45 days later it still has not shipped. With emails stating out of stock. Once I requested a refund, they keep telling me they are working on it. Email returns from this company are slow. The bag was $148. To date, still no refund.

I have the savvy backpack for 2 months now. I've taken it on multiple trips and love it. I had some questions about the backpack and their customer service was very helpful and prompt with the responses. Would definitely recommend!!

I purchased one of their backpacks for my son and he decided he wanted a different one so I ordered that one. I went to return the first one I bought. I sent pictures of the tags on the product back in the original packaging and the original bag use their label to ship back, I sent a picture of the receipt of dropping it off ups and they still refuse to refund me my $170 worst customer service I’ve ever experienced do not purchase from them if you are not 100% about keeping it or that the person you were buying it for I would like to keep it I will never purchase from them again.

Look at the details and fine print before deciding to make a purchase from this company. The customer service is not terrible, but it’s weak. The products are decent but not worth the high prices. Their empty weight is super heavy- so like I said, definitely check out the specs before purchasing. I couldn’t believe how heavy it was. The return process took over a month and you have to check on your return a couple times to keep the ball rolling. It seems like they are hoping you forget about it. They don’t refund you the high shipping cost either. you could find a very similar product for half the price on Amazon. I found a similar product at Macy’s for 1/3 the price.
Now of course they’re going to have a predictable, transparent response full of fake words to this review, but everything I said above is true.
